The present study is purposed to refine the mastery of Islamic vocabulary of 40 students in the English Conversation Club at MAN Kota Blitar through the implementation of Quizizz paper mode. Utilizing a classroom action research design, the study followed structured procedures, encompassing planning, acting, observing, evaluating, and reflecting. The finding revealed a substantial improvement in students' Islamic vocabulary proficiency, with average scores increasing from 60.65 to 85.00 after one cycle of action. The positive outcome underscores the efficacy of Quizizz paper mode as a valuable tool in language learning. As a recommendation, English teachers are encouraged to incorporate interactive platforms like Quizizz paper mode to enrich vocabulary learning outcomes and foster an engaging and effective learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students. This study contributes insights into the practical implementation of technology-enhanced language instruction, emphasizing its potential to facilitate English language skills or sub-skills.

The goal of this research was to investigate whether conversational videos could improve the speaking skills of midwifery students at Muhammadiyah Manado University. Specifically, the study looked at how videos could help students develop correct rhythm, stress, intonation, and emotion in their pronunciation. The study involved 32 midwifery students at the university and used an experimental technique with pre-tests and post-tests to collect data. To gather data, the researcher used observation and assessed the students' speaking skills before and after watching the videos. The results showed that the conversational videos were effective in improving the students' pronunciation skills. To get the most benefit from the videos, the students first practiced the conversations featured in the videos. Next, they listened to the conversations, repeated them, and then practiced speaking in front of the class. The findings showed that the final good value increased significantly from the pre-test stage to the post-test stage. In the pre-test, the students' good value was 22%, but this increased to 47% in the post-test. Moreover, the lack of value decreased by 19% in the post-test compared to the pre-test.

This research aims to explore teachers' perceptions of the development of the Merdeka Curriculum on Nias Island. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with a number of teachers in schools on Nias Island. Thematic analysis was used to identify patterns and key themes that emerged from conversations with teachers. The results of the study highlighted the different views, challenges and expectations of teachers regarding the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The findings provide valuable insights into how educators in the region are responding to and managing the dynamics of the development of the new curriculum. The implications of the findings of this study are expected to provide guidance for improving the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Nias Island and similar areas.    

The problem of corruption in Indonesia has become a public conversation, both through the news, electronic media and social media. This is related to corruption cases and corrupt behavior that occurs everywhere. In fact, in almost all regions of Indonesia with various types and modes. Corrupt behavior has penetrated every element of the nation, even though we all know that corruption is immoral behavior. The large number of corruption cases requires efforts to prevent them, one of which is by strengthening anti-corruption attitudes. Strengthening anti-corruption attitudes is one way of education in forming a mental attitude in a person who is structured to behave anti-corruption. The aim of strengthening anti-corruption attitudes is broad and comprehensive depending on age, education and environment, as long as a person is able and able to receive character education. The importance of strengthening anti-corruption attitudes at SMP IT Gunungpati among teachers and students has led the Semarang State University service team to help overcome this problem by strengthening anti-corruption attitudes among students in the form of service "Strengthening Anti-Corruption Attitudes for Teachers and Students at SMP IT Gunungpati". This service focuses on (1) Providing teachers and students with an understanding of the importance of fighting corruption in the future; (2) Providing reinforcement to teachers regarding learning to instill anti-corruption values ​​in their students; (3) Providing training in implementing strengthening anti-corruption attitudes in daily life as a student; (4) Provide dedication to the implementation of anti-corruption characteristics within a certain period of time.The results of this service will later be published in the Regular National Journal with ISSN (Non Sinta) as well as print and electronic mass media and video. The objectives that are the objectives in implementing this community service activity are (1) Teachers and students have an understanding of anti-corruption character; (2) Teachers have anti-corruption character values ​​that can be applied to students; (3) Students understand how to implement anti-corruption characteristics; (4) Students are able to become initiators of the implementation of anti-corruption characteristics.

Code switching and code mixing often occur in different conversations in society, code switching and code mixing can occur at all levels of society, a person's social status cannot prevent code switching or code mixing from occurring, this is often called multilingualism. This qualitative descriptive research was conducted in the fourth grade learning process at the Simalungun Protestant Christian Church Elementary School with the aims of 1) describing the types of code switching applied by teachers in the learning process; 2) describe the types of code mixing carried out by teachers in the learning process; 3) describe the factors that cause teachers and students to exchange codes; and 4) describe the factors that cause teachers and students to mix code.The methods used are observation and interviews. The results of this research indicate that in the fourth grade Simalungun Protestant Christian Church Elementary School, code switching occurred in the form of internal code switching. Internal code changes include code changes from Indonesia to Simalungun and Simalungun code changes to Indonesia. The form of coding codes in the Simalungun Regency Christian Church Elementary School class IV consists of additional word codes, phrase codes and sentence codes. CThe role of code switching in society is very important, in relation to the use of language variations by a person or group of people, especially in language use in bilingual or multilingual communities, for example in traditional shopping centers or markets. The market, in this case the MMTC market, can be said to have its own uniqueness in relation to the use of code switching. This research is a qualitative descriptive research, while the research strategy uses a fixed case study approach, because the problems and focus of the research have been determined in the proposal before the researcher goes into the field. During the conversation, it was discovered that there was temporary code switching from Indonesian to Javanese to Indonesian carried out by traders. The incident of temporary code switching during the conversation was marked by the Javanese expression 'nek waton mbukak, lunga tak kon nlipet' 'if you just open it, go away I tell you to fold it' which was said by the trader in the middle of the speech to insinuate the buyer, then the trader returned to using Indonesian to serve buyers. Based on the results of research and discussion about code switching in the interaction of traders and buyers in the Medan MMTC market, several conclusions can be drawn. There are two types of code switching that occur in the interaction of traders and buyers in the Medan city MMTC market, namely (1) code switching based on its nature and ( 2) code switching based on the direction of switching.

This assessment aims to assess the role of learning planning on the quality of educators in teaching and learning activities, the obstacles faced by teachers in carrying out learning planning at UPT SDN 060909. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were all homeroom teachers at UPT SDN 060909 Medan Denai. The obstacle faced by teachers is that real teachers cannot guarantee that all students will be interested because there are also students who do not participate, for example when using the conversation method, students become calmer and still do not answer anything. This discussion method is very important to stimulate student activity. However, teachers always evaluate this to continue to improve the quality of educators so that these plans can be used as reference material for further development. From the research results, it was found that learning planning is very important in teaching activities, because learning planning can be a reference for a teacher to carry out learning in the classroom.

Deixis is a word that refers or leads to something that is influenced by the speaker's situation, deixis has a function according to its respective reference according to the context. The purpose of the research is to describe persona deixis, place deixis, time deixis, discourse deixis, social deixis in conversations on the Nihongo Mantappu YouTube channel. The method used in this paper is descriptive qualitative method. Based on the analysis, the researcher has found 4 forms of deixis in the data that has been studied, these deixis include persona deixis, place deixis, discourse deixis, and social deixis. The most frequently used deixis is discourse deixis in the form of this word. The use of discourse deixis is most often used because Jerome Polin or his friends more often mention this word because it refers to the discussion discussed, namely the Indonesian writing and speaking test by foreigners or foreigners. Each deixis found has its own function depending on the context. The research that has been done is interesting because the videos analyzed have sources from abroad and the benefits of this research are expected to help readers understand what deixis are found in the videos that researchers analyze.

The aim of this research is to describe the syntactic constructs of the Javanese language for deaf and speech impaired students. This research is included in qualitative research. Data was collected by listening freely and engaging in conversation. After the data is collected, data analysis is carried out. The language analysis technique in this research was carried out using the change of form technique. From the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the syntactic constructs of the Javanese language spoken by deaf and speech impaired children at the Deaf and Speech Impaired Rehabilitation Foundation (YRTRW) are adverbial phrases, single clauses with an active sentence type (ukara Horn) positioned as interrogative sentences ukara pitaken, ukara sambawa, and ukara cariyos.

The aim of this research is to find out the strategies used by Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Sibuhuan in handling problematic financing for consumer products, as well as the factors that cause these problems and the steps that must be taken if these problems arise. The research was conducted using a qualitative methodology, and the findings show that Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Sibuhuan's approach to overcoming problematic financing in consumer financing products is to develop the company's human resources (HR), providing advice to clients via telephone and face-to-face conversations. visits, and perfecting the company website, all that remains is for the client to submit a Warning Letter (SP), chat with the client, develop a financing restructuring strategy, and finally implement the final handling strategy by selling the client's assets or collateral. The contribution of ideas by KH Hasyim Asy'ari, on the relevance of character education in the current context, has its own advantages. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method to analyze the variation of slang used by the Baduy local community, Desa Kanekes. The data collected is a data primer, which is collected through fieldwork and data collection through questionnaires. The research also uses a survey method to gather information from 10 local residents, focusing on the use of slang and language in their daily lives. The results show that the majority of residents use slang in their daily lives, with some using it in their daily conversations. The study also identifies three slang variations: "On the Way" (OTW), "Lebay", and "COD". OTW is a slang variation that refers to the current time of the conversation, while "Lebay" is a slang variation that refers to the current time of the conversation. The background of this research is the novel Selamat Selamat, written by Tere Liye, which is very focused on the course of an interrupted study period. Apart from problems in the world of education, there is the development of talent that has been hidden for a long time and is re-emerging because someone makes the story in the novel even more interesting to read until the end because the story line is very good, and the novel can be linked to intrinsic learning material in high school. The approach in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source is the text of the novel Selamat Selamat by Tere Liye. The form of data is in the form of written data, namely, character quotes from the characters in the novel Selamat Selamat By Tere Liye as an alternative learning material for intrinsic elements in high school. Data collection techniques use documentation techniques. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and the technique for presenting the results of data analysis is carried out descriptively. The results of the analysis of Tere Liye's novel Selamat Selamat, which has been carried out and can be seen, is that the novel Selamat Selamat By Tere Liye has a form that can be analyzed in the form of character traits, conversational relationships between one character and another, story setting, theme and message. Social relationships between characters which contain conversations that occur between one character and another character. Language errors often occur consciously because students basically believe that they do not master the language system they use, so they are not sure about the words they make. Because of the difficulties he experienced, he then thought about creating his own language or even abandoning it. This research analyzes language errors from the most important thing, namely the speeches of Indonesian state leaders from the beginning until now. The analysis was carried out using theories viewed from a linguistic perspective, including Phonology, Semantics and Spelling (EYD). We should preserve the Indonesian language by communicating well, politely and courteously so that we as young people do not feel the fading of this language. Additionally, we must reduce the use of slang, especially in conversations on social media, as it can influence the way the next generation speaks. In everyday life, language must be adapted to the situation at hand and spoken correctly.

Communication is the most important but also complex aspect of human life. Humans are greatly influenced by the communication they do with other humans, both those they already know and those they don't know at all. The problem encountered at MTs Al-Azhar Sei Siarti is that there are still many communication barriers that occur within the school environment. This can be seen based on the observations that the researchers made which illustrated that many students were shy about expressing opinions, students hesitated in starting a conversation, felt uncomfortable when asking for help from friends or teachers to clarify subjects that were not understood, always being alone, not wanting to join with other friends and many more problems that arise in the MTs Al-Azhar Sei Siarti school environment. Communication barriers are very interesting to study because of the importance of communication between students and teachers so that learning that takes place can be more accepted by all students because there is no longer a sense of passivity between students and teachers. The purpose of this research is to find out what communication barriers occur between students and teachers at MTs Al-Azhar Sei Siarti school. In this study the authors used descriptive qualitative methods, namely analyzing by describing the subject and research object based on the phenomena that occur in the field. While the data collection techniques using interviews, observation, documentation, and data analysis techniques.The conclusion in this study is that there are communication barriers between students and teachers in the aspects of mechanical barriers, semantic barriers and ecological barriers.

Language has an important position in human life, namely as a communication tool that connects individuals with each other. The irreplaceable role of language forces humans to be able to master language. Effective communication can be achieved if there is the same meaning between the communicator and the communicant regarding the message conveyed. The research aims to explain the form of wise expressions in the novels "Rindu" and "Pukat" by Tere Liye; the meaning of wise expressions contained in each wise expression in conversation; and the power of the meaning of wise expressions in conversation to make the writer a character. The research design used was descriptive qualitative with semantic studies and the sample in this study was 44 respondents. The results show that there are four forms of wise expressions used in Tere Liye's two works, namely wise expressions of advice, ethics/morals, education, and religion. The meanings contained in wise expressions in conversations according to Djajasudarma's theory in the novel "Rindu" include broad, emotive, dramatic, propositional, central, fictional and idiomatic meanings. Meanwhile, the meaning of wise expressions in "Pukat" includes broad meaning, motif, dramatic, propositional, central, pictorial and idiomatic.

This study aims to delineate the values of local wisdom within the oral tradition of Umpasa from an ecolinguistic perspective. The ecolinguistic perspective is supported by communication ethnography studies. Data for this research were collected using observation methods, note-taking techniques (linguistics), complemented with ethnographic conversation methods and recording techniques (ethnography). Data analysis employed the extralingual correspondence method and contextual analysis techniques. The results of the analysis indicate that local wisdom within the oral tradition of Umpasa is manifested through tangible forms of local wisdom such as rocks and water, ulos motifs, and traditional houses; as well as through intangible forms of local wisdom such as proverbs, advice, and poetry. Each form of local wisdom manifests noble values that reflect the collective cultural appreciation of the society. This research examines the values of local wisdom embodied in the oral tradition of Umpasa within Batak society through an ecolinguistic approach and communication ethnography studies. The oral tradition of Umpasa is an inseparable part of the rich and diverse Batak culture, containing advice, proverbs, and songs laden with ancestral wisdom and teachings. Unlike physically tangible local wisdom, Umpasa exists as an intangible heritage transmitted orally, bringing deep understanding of the relationship between humans and nature and culture. These dimensions of local wisdom reflect the collective cultural appreciation of Batak society. The implications of this research involve understanding and promoting the preservation of local culture and enhancing appreciation for local wisdom within Batak society and beyond

The widespread use of standard and non-standard languages ​​among society is very problematic. Many members of society, especially students or the millennial generation, make mistakes in pronouncing it incorrectly. This research method uses qualitative or descriptive methods. It is hoped that using this method will provide an overview of the use of standard and non-standard language among the millennial generation in the city of Medan. The data sources obtained are based on research results and journal literature studies. The data collection technique used was in the form of randomly distributing questionnaires to the millennial generation. Based on the results of the questionnaire obtained from the younger generation in the city of Medan as many as 34 respondents, it can be explained that the results obtained were 8 respondents or 23.5% who chose the frequent option and 26 respondents or 76.5% of the total respondents chose the infrequent option , this proves that there are still many millennial generations who are reluctant to use standard language in their daily conversations.
