Art cannot be separated from human life, including in the stages of childhood development. In addition to having aesthetic values, art also plays an important role in inspiring children's creativity and imagination. Early Childhood Education (PAUD), as a pioneer in the national education process, has a role in developing children's potential from various aspects, such as cognitive, language, art, morals, religion, movement, and socio-emotional. One important aspect in children's physical development is motor development, both gross and fine motor skills. One form of effective stimulus in developing children's motor skills is through learning dance. Dance provides space for children to practice body movement coordination, balance, and muscle strength, while stimulating self-expression. The basic elements in dance, such as movement, energy, space, and time, play an important role in supporting children's creativity in expressing themselves through body movements. Therefore, dance is one of the effective media in supporting children's motor development and creativity as a whole.

Dengue fever is an acute infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted primarily by the Aedes aegypti mosquito in urban environments and Aedes albopictus in rural settings. This disease is endemic in many tropical and subtropical regions and is a significant public health concern due to its potentially severe clinical manifestations. This case study presents an 8-year-old boy who was admitted to the hospital with complaints of a high-grade fever lasting for approximately three days. The fever was intermittent and accompanied by chills, which raised suspicions of a viral infection. In addition to fever, the patient also experienced dizziness with a spinning sensation, occasional cough, and flatulence. A thorough clinical evaluation was conducted, including history taking, physical examination, and supporting laboratory tests. Based on the clinical findings and laboratory results, the patient was diagnosed with dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) grade I. DHF grade I is characterized by fever, positive tourniquet test, and evidence of plasma leakage without spontaneous bleeding. The patient was managed with supportive therapy, including fluid replacement and close monitoring of vital signs and hematocrit levels to prevent the progression to more severe stages of dengue. No significant complications occurred during the hospital stay. After a period of observation and clinical improvement, the patient was discharged in good condition. This case highlights the importance of early recognition and accurate diagnosis of DHF in pediatric patients, especially in endemic areas. Prompt and appropriate management is essential to prevent complications and ensure recovery. Continuous public health education and vector control remain key strategies in reducing dengue incidence and severity.

Stunting remains a significant nutritional issue in Indonesia, primarily caused by inadequate dietary intake. Nutritional deficiencies in toddlers often result from insufficient breastfeeding and a lack of proper nutrition from complementary foods. This study aims to evaluate the impact of supplementary feeding (PMT) made from snakehead fish on the nutritional status of stunted toddlers aged 24–47 months. The research employed a total sampling method, involving 15 toddlers within the specified age range. Prior to the intervention, the respondents had an average body weight of 10.77 kg, categorized as severely underweight. Following the administration of snakehead fish-based PMT, their average weight increased to 12.33 kg, falling into the underweight category. Statistical analysis revealed a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant effect of the snakehead fish-based PMT in improving the nutritional status of stunted toddlers. These findings highlight the potential of local food sources, such as snakehead fish, to enhance maternal and child health efforts—particularly in addressing malnutrition through optimized use of locally sourced PMT in various preparations.

Casework is a process used by humanitarian service agencies to assist individuals in addressing social functioning issues. This process includes several stages: engagement, assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and termination. This study examines the application of the casework method with a client named SM, a 30-year-old widow with two children facing economic and social limitations. Through interviews and observations using the BPSS (Bio, Psycho, Social, Spiritual) approach, the practitioner assessed the client’s condition, revealing that SM struggled with economic difficulties and challenges in providing adequate care for her children. In the intervention stage, SM was provided with a program to develop weaving skills, which led to the production of woven mats, curtains, and decorations. Monitoring was conducted to ensure that the client adhered to the program, ultimately increasing SM’s income to Rp 40,000 per day. In the termination stage, the cooperation between the practitioner and the client was concluded as the agreed-upon goals had been achieved. This study demonstrates that with the right approach, individuals facing social and economic limitations can develop their potential and improve their well-being.

This study was conducted with the primary objective of examining in depth the influence of lesson venue on parents’ satisfaction in Laman Baru Village. The research focused on comparing two alternative locations that have been options for the community: conducting lessons in residents’ homes on a rotating basis and conducting lessons in the church. Each of these alternatives carries different characteristics in terms of comfort, symbolic meaning, as well as social and religious acceptance within the local community. The research method employed was a descriptive quantitative approach using questionnaires and field observations. Through this method, the researcher was able to obtain empirical data that reflected parents’ perceptions and real experiences regarding lesson venues. The collected data were then analyzed to determine the extent to which location affected satisfaction, comfort, sense of security, and parents’ involvement in supporting their children’s nonformal education activities. The findings revealed that the choice of venue significantly influenced parents’ attitudes and responses. Lessons conducted in residents’ homes were perceived as more inclusive, since they embodied a sense of togetherness and collective participation within the community. Furthermore, this venue was considered symbolically neutral, thus avoiding any impression of favoritism toward a particular religious group. It also opened wider opportunities for parents to be directly involved in supporting their children. On the other hand, lessons held in the church created resistance, particularly among non-Christian parents, who viewed the church as a less neutral venue laden with specific religious meaning. This condition potentially reduced the participation of certain community members and generated discomfort in a multicultural context. Therefore, these findings highlight the importance of considering social, economic, and religious sensitivities in determining the venue of nonformal education, so that the activities carried out can be broadly accepted and bring optimal benefits to the entire community.

Character is a trait possessed by an individual that is embedded in the soul and body, which is implemented through actions. In this day and age Christian character education is very minimal in Christian students, this can happen due to a lack of provision from parents regarding Christian character. If this continues to happen and is not resolved, it will become one of the obstacles in growing the nation's successors who have the potential to advance the nation. Therefore, the school has a very big role in teaching this to students, so that students have the correct Christian character, especially in dealing with the social life of children in the present. In solving this problem, the authors use the stages which include: Observation, implementation of PKM, and evaluation. The result of this PKM activity is to increase students' awareness of themselves not to continue to be in bad conditions so that the potential they have can be developed properly

Multicultural education is an important approach in a diverse society like Indonesia, with the aim of developing human potential as a whole while respecting diversity. This education emphasizes the recognition and appreciation of cultural, ethnic, religious, and linguistic differences, and also develops an attitude of tolerance and empathy for individuals from diverse backgrounds. This study aims to determine the implementation of multicultural education in the Pancasila Education subject at SMP NEGERI 7 Medan. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study consisted of Pancasila education teachers and students at SMP NEGERI 7 Medan. The location of the study was chosen at SMP NEGERI 7 Medan because this school has implemented multicultural education that combines diversity in school life. SMP Negeri 7 Medan illustrates the abundant diversity of students, especially in the field of religion, with students from various beliefs studying together, as well as various social and cultural backgrounds. The school holds a weekly structured literacy program, which is linked to the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) to develop literacy skills and reinforce Pancasila values. Religious activities are held every Friday to strengthen students' religious and ethical values, while "Thursday Expression" acts as a place to celebrate Indonesia's cultural diversity. Healthy exercise for Indonesian children also reflects the Pancasila student profile and culturally diverse education. The realization of the Pancasila project has brought significant positive impacts, such as increasing tolerance, strengthening students' character, developing social skills, and creating an inclusive learning environment.

Background: In Indonesia, coughs and colds increase from 10% to 35.5%. Due to this situation, many mothers are still not fully aware of the proper handling of coughs and colds, which is further exacerbated by the issue of syrup medications containing ethylene glycol that exceed the safe dosage limits, potentially leading to kidney failure in infants. There are two types of cold treatments: pharmacological with oral medications such as powders and syrups, and non-pharmacological with common cold massage. Research objective: This quantitative research determined the effect of educational videos on common cold massage for infants on mothers' cognition and motivation in performing self-massage at the Mranggen I Public Health Care with a pre-experimental method and a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The population in this study consisted of mothers with children aged 4–12 months at the Mranggen I Public Health Care taken with a simple random sampling technique, resulting in 54 mothers. The applied instruments in this research were the Common Cold Cognition questionnaire and maternal motivation. The researchers analyzed the data using univariate and bivariate analysis, employing the Wilcoxon test to identify the non-normally distributed effect of video education on knowledge, and the paired t-test to evaluate its normal distribution effect on motivation. Research Results: Video education has an influence on mothers' cognition and motivation to perform self-massage at Mranggen I Public Health Center, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. Conclusions and suggestions: Respondents, mothers with children aged 4–12 months at the Mranggen I public health care, had excellent knowledge (46.3%) and strong motivation (46.3%). The researcher expects that mothers in the Mranggen I public health care area will seek more information about common cold massages.

This study aims to analyze the legal protection for children who commit theft, as examined in Decision Number 33/Pid.Sus-Anak/2018/PN Gns, focusing on how such protection is provided under Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Justice System and the consequences of the absence of legal protection in sentencing children for theft. Using a normative legal research method that emphasizes positive law in the form of legislation and secondary legal materials as the primary sources, this study employs a statutory and case approach. The findings indicate that the decision has not optimally provided legal protection for children, as it does not fully adhere to the principle of the best interests of the child or the principle that deprivation of liberty and criminal sanctions should be a last resort. Moreover, the rights of children as offenders are not fully upheld, including the right not to be separated from their parents against their will. Consequently, if a child is sentenced to imprisonment, their relationship with their parents is severed, potentially leading to significant psychological and social impacts.

Early marriage is a crucial issue in Indonesia, including in Tombolikat Village, which is often not registered at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). This study aims to identify the process of early marriage in Tombolikat Village and analyze the legal implications of unregistered early marriages. The research method used is empirical legal research with a qualitative approach. The results showed that early marriage in Tombolikat Village is still prevalent due to social, economic and cultural factors. Marriage that is not registered with the KUA results in no legal protection for the parties involved, especially women and children. The legal implications include difficulties in managing children's birth certificates, inheritance rights, and the potential for domestic violence without adequate access to legal protection. More intensive outreach and collaboration between village governments, religious leaders, and the community are needed to reduce the rate of early marriage and ensure that every marriage is officially recorded for legal certainty and protection of citizens' rights.

Campuranom Village is located in Bansari District, Temanggung Regency, where the majority of the population are farmers. As a result, literacy and formal education for children are often overlooked. This article aims to explore the potential of library revitalization as a literacy facility for children in Campuranom Village. By combining theoretical and empirical analysis, this study employs the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The results indicate that the revitalization of the Campuranom Village Library was carried out through physical improvements, literacy program socialization, and evaluation. Physical improvements included cleaning the library, organizing books through labeling and categorization, and creating a reading corner to attract children's interest. Socialization was conducted to reintroduce the library’s function to the community, particularly schoolchildren. Evaluation was conducted at each stage to ensure the program’s effectiveness. As a result, children's visits to the library increased to 5-10 visitors per day, demonstrating a rise in reading interest. However, some challenges remain, such as poor ventilation making the library uncomfortably hot and its location on the second floor, which makes access difficult. Overall, the revitalization successfully enhanced the library’s appeal, though further improvements are needed in comfort and accessibility.

Malnutrition remains a significant public health challenge, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia. Tempeh, a fermented soybean product, is highly nutritious and has the potential to address malnutrition. The fermentation process by Rhizopus oligosporus enhances the bioavailability of essential nutrients such as protein, iron, and vitamin B12, which are crucial for growth and development. Additionally, tempeh contains natural prebiotics and probiotics that support digestive health and improve nutrient absorption. A literature review in this study indicates that regular consumption of tempeh can help improve nutritional status, particularly among vulnerable groups such as children and pregnant women. With its affordability and wide availability, tempeh serves as a sustainable food solution that can be optimized to reduce malnutrition rates in Indonesia.

Background: Teenage pregnancy remains a significant public health concern due to its potential risks to both mother and child, including health complications, social challenges, and educational disruption. One of the factors influencing teenage pregnancy is parental patterns, which include parenting styles, communication, supervision, and emotional support. Studies have shown that adolescents from families with authoritarian or neglectful parenting are more likely to engage in risky sexual behavior, increasing the risk of early pregnancy. Understanding the relationship between parental patterns and teenage pregnancy can help develop targeted interventions to prevent adolescent pregnancies. Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between parental patterns and the incidence of teenage pregnancy. Methods: A quantitative analytical study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. The sample consisted of 30 teenage mothers selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires assessing parental patterns, including communication, supervision, and emotional support, as well as information about pregnancy incidence. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to determine the statistical relationship between parental patterns and teenage pregnancy incidence. Results: The study found that 30 respondents (100%) reported experiencing parental patterns that influenced their behavior. Among them, teenagers from families with supportive and communicative parenting had a lower risk of teenage pregnancy. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed a significant relationship between parental patterns and the incidence of teenage pregnancy (p = 0.000), indicating that parental guidance and involvement play a critical role in preventing early pregnancy. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between parental patterns and the incidence of teenage pregnancy. Supportive and communicative parental patterns reduce the likelihood of teenage pregnancy, while neglectful or authoritarian patterns increase the risk. These findings highlight the importance of parental involvement, education, and guidance in adolescent reproductive health.
