Background: The increase in the elderly population can have an impact on many health problems in the elderly, one of which is sleep quality problems. Prevelence in Indonesia the incidence of sleep problems at the age of 60 years and more there is a very high number of cases around 67%. Where sleep quality problems in the elderly can lead to type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity. Non-pharmacological handling in overcoming sleep quality problems can be through progressive muscle relaxation therapy techniques. Progressive muscle relaxation therapy is able to increase feelings of comfort, and psychological relaxation by improving sleep quality in the elderly.Objective: Knowing the effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy on sleep quality in the elderly at the Medang Kamolan posyandu, Banyuanyar Village, Surakarta City. Method: This study used the Quasi Experiment Design method with the One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design design. The sampling technique used was non probability sampling technique with a sample size of 20 elderly people and using the Wilxocon test. Results: The results using the Wilxocon test p-value 0.000. Conclusion: There is an effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy on sleep quality at Posyandu Medang Kamolan, Banyuanyar Village, Surakarta City

Background: The elderly commonly undergo changes encompassing physical, psychological, and biological aspects. One such biological change is altered sleep patterns, resulting in poor sleep quality. Sleep quality disturbances among the elderly can be alleviated through the application of dhikr therapy. Objective: To determine the difference in sleep quality before and after the implementation of dhikr therapy for enhancing sleep quality. Method: This study employed a descriptive design involving 2 female participants, conducted from June 4th to June 10th, 2023, at the 'Aisyiyah Sumber Surakarta elderly care facility. Each participant received 7 consecutive days of intervention. The instrument used was the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire to measure sleep quality levels before and after the therapy. Results: Prior to intervention, participant 1 had a sleep quality score of 16 (poor category), and participant 2 scored 11 (poor category). After dhikr therapy, participant 1's sleep quality improved to 10 (poor category), and participant 2 achieved a score of 7 (poor category). Both participants experienced decreased sleep quality scores. Conclusion: Dhikr therapy can enhance sleep quality among the elderly. Despite reduced sleep quality scores post-intervention for both participants, these changes suggest improved sleep quality due to dhikr therapy's application.

The growth of teenage girls change physically and psychologically. These girls tend to experience several symptoms before the menstrual phase-physical, psychological, and behavioral alteration that occur regularly during the menstrual period. The PMS symptoms that experience by teenage girls is painful cramps often accompanied by sleep quality disturbance. Poor sleep quality can affect to long-term physical disorders. This study aims to analyze the relationship between incidences of premenstrual syndrome and sleep quality among teenage girls. This study was a quantitative correlation study with a cross-sectional design. The primary data collection carried out on March 2nd-15th, 2023. The population in this study were all female students of SMPN 3 Unggul Ingin Jaya, a total of 280 students. The sampling technique used a proportional sampling technique involving 74 respondents. The Chi-Square test using univariate and bivariate statistical analysis showed the level of premenstrual syndrome among these girls experienced mild category (32.4%), moderate (37.8%), and severe (29.7%). The result also indicated that the level of sleep quality (10.8%) of respondents had good sleep quality. The rest of respondents (89.2%) had poor sleep quality. In conclusion, the result shows a relationship between PMS and sleep quality (p=0.020) of premenstrual syndrome among students at SMPN 3 Unggul Ingin Jaya, Aceh Besar. It expects that female students as respondents can utilize this study as input to enrich in-depth information if they experience premenstrual syndrome.

Elderly sleep disorders in Indonesia are quite high, namely 67%. Non-pharmacological treatment of sleep disorders can use warm water. Sleep disturbances have a negative impact, such as the elderly not being able to sleep at all at night and having nightmares. Warm water is able to provide relaxation which creates a feeling of comfort so that it can improve sleep quality. Objective : To determine the effect of soaking feet using warm water on the sleep quality of the elderly. Methods: The method used is descriptive with a pretest and posttest to 2 respondents in Cantel Kulon Sragen, the duration of soaking feet in warm water for 15 minutes with a water temperature of 40°C for 5 consecutive days on 25 May 2023-29 May 2023. Results : The sleep quality scores of the two respondents before the therapy were 12 and 10. After the therapy they were 7 and 6. Conclusion: Soaking feet in warm water for 15 minutes can improve sleep quality.

Teenagers today often experience sleep disturbances, this happens because teenagers prefer to be in front of screens such as gadgets, televisions and computers. In a day, teenagers use gadgets for 5-7 hours, so it takes around 60 minutes longer to fall asleep. Apart from using gadgets, another factor that can affect sleep quality is stress. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between gadget use and stress levels with sleep quality in adolescents at Puspita Medika Tapos Health Vocational School, Depok. Method: This research uses an analytical design with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was a total sampling of 99 students. Results: based on statistical logistic regression tests on 99 respondents, a significant value of p = 0.045 was obtained, namely <0.05 for the gadget use variable and p = 0.001, namely <0.05 for stress levels. Conclusion: there is a relationship between gadget use and stress levels with sleep quality in teenagers at Puspita Medika Vocational School.

Background : The need for sleep can not only be seen from the aspect of sleep quality but can also be seen from the quantity or long duration of a baby's sleep. If the baby's sleep duration is met properly, the baby's growth and development can be achieved optimally. Nearly 44.2% of babies experience sleep disturbances or sleep problems, so far 72% of parents think it is not a problem, whereas if a baby has sleep problems it will have a negative effect on growth, including vulnerable immunity, as well as changes in the endocrine system. affect the growth of the baby. Currently, various ways of therapy have been carried out so that there is an increase in the baby's sleep duration. One of the safe and accessible therapeutic efforts to increase the baby's sleep duration is using murottal Al-Qur'an. Al-Qur'an murottal therapy can reduce stress hormones, activate natural endorphins, increase feelings of relaxation, and distract from anxiety, anxiety and tension. The surah used is surah Al-Mulk. Objective : To determine the effect of giving Al-Qur'an murottal therapy on the sleep duration of infants aged 3-6 months. Method : This type of research uses a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The samples obtained from the federar formula were 20 infants aged 3-6 months using the accidental sampling technique. Results : the results of the study using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value = 0.000 where the value (p <0.005) means that there is an effect of giving Al-Qur'an murottal therapy on the baby's sleep duration. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving Al-Qur'an murottal therapy on the sleep duration of infants aged 3-6 month.

Background: Poor sleep quality is a disorder that often occurs in the elderly. The impact of sleep disturbances in the elderly can result in the body's inability to restore its original state, causing weakness, headaches, drowsiness, and fatigue. Treatment of sleep quality disorders is carried out with non-pharmacological treatment, one of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be done is Al-Qur'an Murottal Therapy. Purpose: To find out changes in the level of sleep quality in the elderly before and after carrying out murottal Al-Qur'an therapy. Method: This application uses a descriptive method on 2 respondents, done 1 time in 7 consecutive days. The instrument used is the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) to measure sleep quality. Results: Treatment of sleep quality disorders with Al-Qur'an murottal therapy which is given 1 time for 7 days in 15 minutes can affect the level of sleep quality of respondents, so that there is a change in the sleep quality score of the elderly. Conclusion: The application shows that after the Al-Qur'an murottal therapy there was an increase in the quality of sleep in both respondents from poor sleep quality to light sleep quality.

Hypertension is a condition where the systolic pressure is above 140 mmHg, while the diastolic pressure is above 90 mmHg. Some hypertension patients often complain of headache, weakness, fatigue, shortness of breath, restlessness, nausea and vomiting, epistaxis and decreased consciousness. This can cause sleep problems in hypertensive patients. Sleep disorders are a collection of conditions characterized by disturbances in the amount, quality or timing of sleep in an individual. One technique to improve sleep quality is progressive muscle relaxation therapy and murotal Al-Quran.This research method uses Pre-Experimental with one group pre-post test approach. The population is 40 respondents and uses a total sampling (technique).The instrument used was a sleep quality questionnaire, measured by the Indonesian version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), then data were collected through Editing, Coding, Scoring, and Tabulating processes. The data obtained were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test.The results showed that the average value of sleep quality before progressive muscle relaxation and murotal Al-Quran therapy was performed was 8.30, while after progressive muscle relaxation and murotal Al-Quran the average value of sleep quality was 6.08. The results of the analysis test showed that there was an effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy and murotal Al-Quran on improving sleep quality of hypertensive patients with -value = 0.000 <α = 0.05. This therapy performs 15 relaxation movements accompanied by the sound of murotal Al-Quran which makes a person relax and calm so that this calmness acts as a pain reliever that makes the patient happy and gives positive energy in a person. this makes the mood to be happy so as to create a good quality sleep.   Keywords: Hypertension, sleep quality, progressive muscle relaxation therapy and murotal Al-Quran.

Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disease indicated by hyperglycemia. This matter occurs due to the incapability of the pancreas to secret the insulin, the interrupted insulin performance, or the existence of both problems. Poor sleeping quality influenced the blood glucose level in the body. Normal individuals have blood glucose levels between 65 and 120 mg/dl after waking up. This research determined the blood glucose levels and the sleeping quality of diabetes mellitus type 2 patients. This quantitative research applied the analytical descriptive design with the cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 40 respondents taken by purposive sampling technique. The applied measuring instrument was the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, PSQI. The Spearman Rank test obtained a p-value of 0.000 lower than 0.05. Thus, the result accepts Ha, indicating a significant correlation between blood glucose and the sleeping quality of diabetes mellitus type 2 patients with r = 0.786. The r-value had a negative correlation indicating a strong correlation between glucose level and the sleeping quality of the patients. If the blood glucose was abnormal, the sleeping quality would be poor and vice versa. The researcher recommends future researchers promote quantitative research to examine the influential factors of diabetes mellitus type 2 patients' quality.

Introduction : Aromatherapy is a way of treating disease by using odors that generally come from plants and smell nice and are called essential oils. Lavender essential oil can be used to treat insomnia, improve sleep quality and improve long-term hospital stays, as well as reduce the need for sedatives at night. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy on sleep quality and anxiety in students who will face field work practices at the Vancanitty Health Vocational School, Cianjur Regency. Methods: The instruments used in this study consisted of three parts, namely SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) lavender aromatherapy, the PSQI sleep quality questionnaire and the ZSAS anxiety questionnaire whose results were known by giving the questionnaire before the lavender aromatherapy intervention was carried out and after being given lavender aromatherapy then measured the level of student anxiety decreased or increased. Statistical test using the Marginal Homogeneity Test. The population and sample in this study were 11th grade nursing students with a total of 28 students at the Vancanitty Health Vocational School. Results: The average level of students' sleep quality before lavender aromatherapy therapy was in the moderate category (60.7%) and after lavender aromatherapy therapy the average level of students' sleep quality was in the good category (75.0%). The average level of student anxiety before lavender aromatherapy therapy was in the medium category (64.3%) and after lavender aromatherapy the average student anxiety level was in the low category (75.0%). The result of the asym sig 2 tailed value is <0.01, so the hypothesis is accepted. Conclusion: There is an effect of lavender aromatherapy on sleep quality and student anxiety with a p value <0.01.

Everyone, including children, adults, and parents, can experience stress. Academic stress is a common type of stress that occurs in a school or educational environment. Students who face high pressure, such as numerous assignments, may experience stress that can lead to insomnia. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between stress and insomnia in students. Stress is a negative feeling caused by situations beyond one's control or changes in one's body and mind. Insomnia is the inability to achieve adequate quality and quantity of sleep. A literature review study was conducted, with 5 journals obtained from Google Scholar. The study design was cross-sectional. The results showed a significant relationship between stress and insomnia in college students (p <0.05). This means that stress levels have a moderate positive correlation with insomnia levels. In conclusion, it is important for students to learn how to manage their stress levels to prevent insomnia.

Background: A non-communicable disease that mostly affects the elderly in Indonesia is cardiovascular disease, which is the biggest cause of death for people aged 65 years and over with a higher number of deaths in developing countries. One of the non-communicable diseases commonly experienced by the elderly in society is hypertension or high blood pressure. Hypertension that occurs in society often causes problems, one of which is sleep quality disturbances. Sleep quality is one of the risk factors for hypertension. Inadequate sleep quality results in physiological and psychological balance disorders. Hypertension can be prevented by controlling risk factors, most of which are behavioral factors in the form of life habits, one of which is sleep quality. The purpose of this study was to describe the quality of sleep in the elderly with hypertension Methods: This study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach using a questionnaire and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 61 respondents. Results: The most respondents were 60-74 years old with a total of 50.83%, the most sex was women with 57.4%. The most common sleep quality for the elderly was poor sleep quality at 64%. Conclusion: Most of the sleep quality of elderly with hypertension in Marga Village is poor, where hypertension affects the quality of sleep of the elderly so that it is hoped that the elderly will check their blood pressure regularly and carry out therapy to help stabilize blood pressure so that the quality of sleep can be improved.

Elderly exercise is a sport that is easy to do, has low impact, and is suitable for the physique of the elderly. Gymnastics is highly recommended for those from the pre-elderly to the elderly because it has many benefits for the body. Sleep quality is a measure of how easy it is for a person to start sleeping and maintain sleep. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of elderly exercise on sleep quality at the Tresna Wredha Krikilan Glenmore Banyuwangi Social Services UPT. This type of research uses qualitative analytical research with a cross sectional approach with the chi square test. The sample from this research was the elderly who were at the Tresna Wredha Krikilan Glenmore Banyuwangi Social Services UPT, namely 55 respondents. Process data using SPSS. The results of this study show that the p-value is 816 which indicates that there is no relationship between elderly exercise and sleep quality at the UPT social service Tresna Wredha Krikilan Glenmore Banyuwangi. The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between elderly exercise and elderly sleep quality at the UPT social service Tresna Wredha Krikilan Glenmore Banyuwangi.

Sleep quality is a state lived by an individual to produce freshness and fitness after waking up. If a person's sleep quality is poor it will cause a decrease in the body's immune system and Hb levels which causes the individual to feel easily tired, sleepy and susceptible to disease. Adolescents are identified as a population at high risk of experiencing sleep problems which disrupt sleep quality. Accumulated work and lifestyle are one of the factors causing poor sleep patterns in adolescents which makes it easier for them to experience sleep disturbances. Adolescents with high risk certainly need adequate knowledge regarding the importance of maintaining quality sleep related to the body's immune system and Hb levels. Increased knowledge and examination can be carried out by laboratory personnel with health counseling and laboratory tests. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of adolescents to maintain good quality sleep so that Hb levels and body immunity are maintained. This community service implementation method consists of three stages, namely the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. At the implementation stage, an examination of Hb levels and counting the number of types of leukocytes was carried out as well as education related to the effect of sleep quality on Hb levels and the body's immune system. As a result of community service, adolescents have obtained health status through laboratory tests and good knowledge about the effect of sleep quality on Hb levels and body immunity.

Self-muhasabah is one of the methods of moral education that is put forward by the teachers at IDIA Prenduan. Various forms of programs are structured to direct the students to always reflect on themselves, such as spiritual cleansing activities every dawn on Fridays (Kulsub) and mandatory activities for the management of the minister for studies and da'wah or (Menkada) Ma'had Student Executive Board (BEMA) at IDIA Prenduan and other things. In this study, the focus of the research was how to apply self-reflection to improve the moral quality of female female students of IDIA Prenduan and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of self-muhasabah to improve the moral quality of female female students of IDIA Prenduan. And the purpose of this study is to describe the application of self-muhasabah in improving the moral quality of female female students of IDIA Prenduan. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method of phenomelogy. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of this study are the application of self-muhasabah to improve moral quality in the form of dawn lectures, istirham, morning lectures, tahajjud prayers, it can be seen that this application can improve the quality of mahasantri morals such as self-muhasabah activities. The supporting factors of this activity are Kyai and Nyai who have qualified knowledge and discipline of the mahasantri while the obstacle is the lack of enthusiasm from the mahasatri in self-contemplation which is held at dawn, due to the dense activities carried out. So that some students feel sleepy and this is a form of lack of faith in Allah SWT.

Based on data from the Jepara District Health Office in 2021, the Tahunan area has the highest number of pregnancies, reaching 1204 pregnancies compared to other sub-districts in Jepara Regency, with 43.1% of them experiencing sleep disturbances. This study aims to determine the effect of back massage with lavender essential oil on the sleep quality of third-trimester pregnant women in the working area of the Annual Public Health Center, Jepara Regency. This type of research is a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The population taken in this study were 50 pregnant women in their third trimester in July – August 2022 in the working area of the Annual Health Center in Jepara Regency. The sampling technique was purposive, and a sample of 44 people was obtained. The data collection tool in this study used the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed an effect of back massage with lavender essential oil on the sleep quality of third-trimester pregnant women in the working area of the Annual Public Health Center, Jepara Regency (p-value <0.05). The average PSQI score before a back massage with lavender essential oil was 8.95 and then decreased to 3.70 after giving a back massage with lavender essential oil. A decrease in PSQI scores indicates an improvement in sleep quality. Based on the Z value obtained, it was 5.811, which means that every one time back massage intervention with lavender essential oil given two times a week in the third trimester of pregnant women has the potential to improve sleep quality 5.811 times.   Keywords: Back massage, Lavender essential oil, Sleep quality
