This article aims to understand how cultural expressions of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) are inculturated in the liturgy of the Catholic Church as a manifestation of a dynamic encounter between Christian faith and local culture. The research method used is qualitative with a desk observation approach, which involves an in-depth study of Church documents, biblical texts, and practices of contextual liturgical analysis in various regions of NTT. The main results of the study indicate that the process of cultural inculturation in the liturgy in NTT not only enriches the forms of expression of the faith of the people, but also deepens the meaning and experience of the liturgy as a space for authentic theological dialogue between the Gospel message and local cultural heritage. Furthermore, this inculturation emphasizes the relevance of faith in the socio-cultural context, where local elements such as music, dance, clothing, and symbolism are brought to life to reveal the mystery of Christ more contextually. The theological and pastoral implications of these findings are that the Catholic Church in Indonesia, particularly in NTT, is a living, contextual, and relevant witness to the faith, demonstrating that the Gospel can be firmly embedded in the local land and culture, while strengthening the religious identity of the people amidst cultural plurality.

This study examines the differences between Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and large corporations in utilizing e-commerce platforms for digital promotion, particularly through collaborations with influencers. The rapid development of digital technology has reshaped business competition and created unequal access to market opportunities, where corporations benefit from strong financial capacity, formal contractual structures, and comprehensive legal compliance, while MSMEs often struggle with limited resources, inconsistent product legality, and informal promotional arrangements. This research aims to analyze comparative practices in digital promotion between the two business scales and evaluate how regulatory frameworks support digital fairness for MSMEs within Indonesia’s e-commerce ecosystem. Using a qualitative method that combines literature review and in-depth interviews with three influencers, the study reveals significant distinctions in collaboration patterns, compensation systems, marketing flexibility, and legal assurance. The findings indicate that MSMEs exhibit higher adaptability and openness toward emerging creators, whereas corporations demonstrate stronger professionalism but lower responsiveness due to bureaucratic structures. The research further highlights persistent digital inequality shaped by differences in legal awareness, operational capacity, and marketing strategy. These findings imply the importance of enhancing MSME digital literacy, strengthening contractual governance, and improving regulatory responsiveness to ensure equitable participation in the digital market. Strengthening cooperative efforts between government, digital platforms, and influencer communities is essential for building a fairer and more inclusive e-commerce environment.

Abstract. This study aims to analyze the effect of four-wheeled vehicle production and imports on the unemployment rate in West Java Province during the 2016–2023 period. The background of the study stems from the fluctuating conditions of vehicle production and imports, as well as West Java's unemployment rate, which tends to be higher than the national average. The study employed a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Indonesian Association of Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers (GAIKINDO). The analytical method used was multiple linear regression to determine the simultaneous and partial effects between variables. The results show that four-wheeled vehicle production and imports simultaneously have a significant effect on the unemployment rate. Partially, four-wheeled vehicle production has a significant negative effect, meaning that increased production can reduce the unemployment rate in West Java. Conversely, four-wheeled vehicle imports have no significant effect on the unemployment rate, so increased imports do not directly affect labor absorption. The coefficient of determination of 83.4% indicates that production and imports contribute significantly to explaining variations in the unemployment rate. These research findings emphasize the importance of strengthening the automotive industry sector as a strategy to reduce unemployment in West Java.

The implementation of Christian Religious Education (PAK) plays an important role in strengthening the spiritual growth of the congregation through Sunday worship as a means of continuous faith formation. This research and community service (PKM) activity was conducted at the GKSI Kampung Rama Church with the aim of understanding how PAK is implemented in Sunday worship and its impact on the spiritual life of the congregation. The method used was a qualitative-descriptive approach that included observation, field questionnaires, and literature study. The results of the study show that the church implements PAK through various elements of worship such as sermons, Bible readings, liturgy, praise, and special programs such as catechism, Sunday school, and cell groups. All of these elements complement each other to guide the congregation towards maturity in faith and a comprehensive understanding of God's word. However, there are several challenges in implementing PAK, such as limited teaching staff, lack of facilities, the influence of culture and globalization, and lack of support from families and congregations in spiritual guidance. To overcome these challenges, the Church has made several improvements, such as improving the quality of teaching the Word, developing participatory worship, utilizing technology to train ministers, and forming communities for spiritual guidance after worship. Through these efforts, the spiritual growth of the congregation has shown positive and more focused changes. Thus, the implementation of PAK through Sunday worship has proven to be effective in helping the congregation grow spiritually and strengthen their faith in their daily lives.

This study aims to analyze the effect of government expenditure and Regional Own-Source Revenue (PAD) on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Surabaya City during the period 2014–2022. The background of the study stems from the crucial role of regional fiscal policy in promoting economic growth and the observed mismatch between the increase in regional expenditure and PAD with the development of GRDP. The research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis based on time-series data obtained from BPS and DJPK. The findings show that government expenditure and PAD simultaneously have a significant effect on GRDP. Partially, government expenditure has a positive and significant effect, while PAD has a positive but not significant effect on GRDP. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.998 indicates that both variables can explain most of the variation in GRDP. These results confirm that government expenditure is the dominant fiscal instrument in driving economic growth in Surabaya, while the contribution of PAD still needs to be strengthened to effectively enhance fiscal capacity and stimulate productive economic activities. This study is expected to serve as a reference for local governments in formulating more targeted budget policies

Popular culture and digitalization have become the main context of the lives of Catholic children and adolescents, thus having a significant impact on the formation of their identity, values, and practices of faith. Phenomena such as social media, music, movies, and digital games are not only entertainment spaces, but also pedagogical spaces that shape the way of thinking and spirituality of the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the relevance of Thomas H. Groome's Shared Christian Praxis (SCP) model as a contextual catechesis approach for children and adolescents living in popular culture. Using a qualitative method based on literature studies, this study interprets popular cultural dynamics, the principles of the Church's faith education, and the SCP approach through hermeneutical and thematic analysis. The results show that traditional catechesis approaches are no longer adequate to answer the needs of the digital generation which demands a dialogical, participatory, and experiential learning process. The SCP approach has been proven to be able to integrate students' experiences, critical reflection, the Church's story of faith, hermeneutical dialogue, and concrete actions as a single faith-building process. Thus, this research makes a practical contribution to the Church and Catholic educational institutions in designing catechesis strategies that are more relevant, contextual, and able to respond to the challenges of popular culture faced by the younger generation.

This article aims to explain the correct practice of devotion to Mary in the light of Christ-centered faith, which is a faith centered on Jesus Christ as the one and only mediator and savior. The main issue discussed is the tendency of some Catholics to give excessive devotion to Mary, which risks diverting focus from Christ. This study employs a theological and doctrinal approach by tracing the Church's teachings on honoring Mary, particularly through the distinction between latria, dulia, and hyperdulia. The study's findings indicate that proper devotion to Mary is rooted in a relationship with the Holy Trinity and guides the faithful to increasingly know, love, and emulate Christ. Conversely, disproportionate forms of devotion may lead to misunderstandings or deviations in faith practices. The implications of this research emphasize the Church's role in providing adequate catechesis, so that devotion to Mary remains balanced, leading the faithful to Christ through Mary and in Mary, while deepening the understanding of Trinitarian theology in the daily lives of Christians.

This study examines the increasing prevalence of premarital sexual behavior among Indonesian adolescents, including Catholic youths, which poses a significant challenge to the moral formation and faith development promoted by the Catholic Church. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research analyzes the phenomenon of adolescent free sex from the perspective of Catholic moral theology and family pastoral care. The findings reveal that the rise of free sexual behavior among adolescents is strongly influenced by curiosity, fragmented family structures, weak value-based sexual education, and the unregulated use of digital media. Moral theology views sexuality as a divine gift whose authentic meaning is realized only within the sacramental bond of marriage; therefore, premarital sex is considered a deviation from human dignity and the true nature of love. The study also highlights the essential role of the family as the Domestic Church in shaping conscience, character, and responsible sexual attitudes among youths. Pastoral strategies proposed include integral sexual education, strengthening parent–child communication in the digital age, and contextual pastoral accompaniment rooted in compassion, as emphasized in Amoris Laetitia. This research underscores the need for collaborative efforts between families, the Church, and educational institutions to guide young people toward a holistic understanding of sexuality, authentic love, and their Christian vocation in contemporary society.

Information system security faces serious challenges due to increasingly complex cyber attacks. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) require efficient approaches to handle high-dimensional data such as the NSL-KDD dataset with 41 features. This study aims to implement the Genetic Algorithm (GA) for feature selection on the NSL-KDD dataset to improve the efficiency and accuracy of network attack detection. The method used is computational experimental research, involving data preprocessing, GA implementation for feature selection, building a classification model using Random Forest, and performance evaluation based on accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and computation time. The results show that GA successfully reduced features from 41 to 12 features (70.7% reduction), significantly improving computational efficiency. However, model accuracy slightly decreased from 0.4973 to 0.4951, indicating that while GA is effective for feature selection, the elimination of certain features may reduce classification capability. The implication of this study is that GA can be used as a tool to simplify intrusion detection models, but it should be combined with parameter optimization and data imbalance handling to achieve more optimal performance.

The death penalty remains a topic of ongoing debate from legal, moral, and religious perspectives. In Indonesia, the death penalty is still applied for certain serious crimes; however, its implementation is questioned because it is considered to conflict with the fundamental human right to life. From the perspective of Christian ethics, this issue becomes more complex as it relates to the understanding of life as a gift from God and the principles of justice and forgiveness. The Old Testament contains provisions for the death penalty as a means of upholding law and maintaining the holiness of the community, while the New Testament emphasizes love, restoration, and the opportunity for repentance through the example of Jesus Christ. This study aims to analyze how Christian ethics views the death penalty by examining the balance between justice and forgiveness as taught in Scripture. The method used in this research is literature review and conceptual analysis of biblical texts and theological sources. The findings indicate that Christian ethics does not merely reject or accept the death penalty, but directs toward an understanding of justice that restores human dignity. This perspective is expected to serve as an ethical consideration in responding to the application of the death penalty in modern society.

Christian religious education (Christian Religious Education) teaching still lacks the capacity to facilitate students' development of LOTS and HOTS. Therefore, students need to be actively involved in the learning process. Students are unable to complete difficult-level questions due to their low-level thinking skills, but they still tend to complete lower-level questions. This study aims to integrate low-level and high-level thinking skills into the Christian Religious Education (Christian Religious Education) learning process. Using qualitative research with a library approach, the results revealed students' ability to understand Christian Religious Education material through the integration of low-level (LOTS) and high-level (HOTS) thinking skills. The study concluded that LOTS and HOTS can be integrated into Christian Religious Education (Christian Religious Education) learning, enabling students to answer both easy and difficult questions when given by educators in classroom assessments and solve problems encountered in real life. Therefore, Christian religious education needs to focus on developing these two thinking skills in order to improve the overall quality of learning.

The Protestant Reformation, pioneered by Martin Luther in the 16th century, was an important moment in Christian history. This movement emerged as a critique of Catholic Church practices, particularly the sale of indulgences and the abuse of power by clergy, which were considered to deviate from the teachings of the Bible. In response, the Catholic Church convened the Council of Trent. This council not only reaffirmed the teachings of the faith but also tightened spiritual discipline and reformed the internal structure to maintain the unity of the Church. In addition, the Council of Trent also encouraged pastoral renewal supported by religious orders, especially the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), which played a major role in education, missions, and social services. This study analyzes the roots of the Reformation, examines the Council of Trent as the official response of the Catholic Church, and explores the forms of pastoral renewal that emerged afterwards. The results show that although the Protestant Reformation was a major challenge, the Catholic Church's response through the Council of Trent and the pastoral renewal movement succeeded in strengthening Catholic identity and left an important legacy that has influenced the development of the Church to this day.

This study examines how Christian marriage is represented in the modern era through theological, symbolic, and contextual perspectives. Although Christian marriage is traditionally understood as a sacred covenant emphasizing unity, fidelity, and permanence, contemporary social realities reveal shifts in how Christians interpret and express marital life. Economic pressures, evolving family roles, digital communication patterns, and cultural influences shape the modern experience of marriage. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through literature-based research, this study analyzes the theological foundations, ritual symbols, and contextual factors that influence changes in the representation of Christian marriage today. The findings indicate that while the core theological essence of Christian marriage remains, its practical expressions undergo adaptation to remain relevant within modern life. Symbols such as wedding rings, marital vows, and liturgical blessings continue to convey theological meaning, while premarital education and pastoral support play a crucial role in strengthening marital stability. The study highlights the need for a contextual and integrative ecclesial approach that responds to the realities faced by Christian couples in contemporary society.

The rapid expansion of digital technologies has intensified financial misinformation and disinformation, particularly through illegal online loans and online gambling targeting communities with limited digital and financial literacy. This community engagement program in Dusun Munggur, Girimulyo Village, aimed to strengthen residents’ ability to identify and respond to deceptive digital practices through contextualized education on risk indicators, manipulative design strategies, and verification methods. Using a three-hour interactive socialization combining visuals, discussion, and a short comprehension exercise, the program improved participants’ understanding of how fraudulent financial schemes operate and how personal data, behavioral triggers, and algorithmic amplification are exploited. Participants demonstrated greater awareness of suspicious platforms, increased confidence in evaluating online offers, and requested sustained resources such as booklets and reporting guides for household- and community-level prevention. Although effective in raising immediate awareness, the intervention was limited by the lack of long-term behavioral assessment and the rapidly evolving nature of digital fraud. The program underscores the importance of community-centered, preventive literacy to mitigate digital financial risks in rural Indonesia.
