Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease that is ranked 10th with the highest number of deaths. Side effects caused by Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (OAT) are often experienced by TB patients and result in physical disorders that reduce the quality of life of TB patients. This study aims to analyze the relationship between OAT side effects and the quality of life of TB patients at the Banyuglugur Community Health Center The research design in the study used a cross sectional approach. The population of this study was all TB patients in the Banyuglugur health center working area who underwent treatment for <6 months according to the inclusion criteria in January 2022 - May 2023, totaling 40 people using the Total Sampling sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire on OAT side effects and quality of life. The analytical test used was the Spearman Rank test. The results of this study showed that the side effects of OAT in 27 TB patients (67.5%) were severe and the quality of life of 31 TB patients (77.5%) was poor. The results of the analysis show a p value of .001 (smaller than 0.05), so there is a significant linear relationship between the OAT side effect variable and the quality of life of TB patients at the Banyuglugur Community Health Center. This research shows that the side effects experienced by TB sufferers, both mild and severe, greatly affect the quality of life of TB patients. Health workers must always carry out routine monitoring of OAT side effects experienced by TB sufferers and treat them as soon as possible so that they do not affect the quality of life of TB patients in terms of physical, nutritional or psychological aspects in order to prevent them from dropping out of treatment.

Men's participation in the Family Planning (KB) program is still very minimal due to the limited choice of contraceptive methods. Efforts need to be made to develop contraceptive methods, one of which is using natural ingredients. Bitter melon (Momordica charantia L) is known to have potential benefits as a male antifertility agent. This research used an experimental design with a sample size of 20 mice divided into 4 groups randomly. Treatment groups 1-3 were given different doses, namely 100, 80, 60 mg of bitter melon ethanol extract/100g BW/day, and the control group was given distilled water for 35 days. The mice were sacrificed the day after the last dose, then spermatozoa were collected from the epididymis and their number, motility, viability and morphology were examined. The results of this study showed a significant decrease in the number and motility of spermatozoa and was directly proportional to the size of the dose given. In terms of viability parameters, there was a significant decrease at all doses. Meanwhile, for spermatozoa morphology, only a dose of 100 mg had a significant impact. The conclusion from the results of this research is that giving bitter melon fruit extract has an effect on the number, motility, viability and morphology of spermatozoa. The most effective dose is 100 mg/100 gBB/day.

Hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases and is most common in society. Hypertension is now a major problem for all of us, not only in Indonesia but in the world, because hypertension is a risk factor for heart disease, kidney failure, diabetes and stroke (Indonesian Ministry of Health, 2019). Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018 shows that around 1.13 billion people in the world have hypertension, meaning that 1 in 3 people in the world are diagnosed with hypertension. The number of people with hypertension continues to increase every year, it is estimated that by 2025 there will be 1.5 billion people affected by hypertension and it is estimated that every year 10.44 million people die due to hypertension and its complications (Ministry of Health, 2019). Based on Riskesdas 2018, the prevalence of hypertension based on measurement results in the population aged 18 years was 34.1%, the highest in South Kalimantan (44.1%), while the lowest was in Papua (22.2%). Hypertension occurred in the age group 31-44 years (31.6%), age 45-54 years (45.3%), age 55-64 years (55.2%). From the prevalence of hypertension of 34.1%, it is known that 8.8% were diagnosed with hypertension and 13.3% of people diagnosed with hypertension did not take medication and 32.3% did not regularly take medication. This shows that the majority of hypertension sufferers do not know that they have hypertension and therefore do not receive treatment (Ministry of Health, 2019).
