Violence against women is a global issue that continues to increase. SIMFONI PPA data shows an increasing trend in cases of violence against women in Indonesia, with 11,712 victims in 2023. The purpose of this study is to explain how the UPTD PPA of Blitar City implements a policy of handling services for cases of violence against women and find obstacles faced in its implementation. Talcott Parsons' structural functional theory is used to analyze how social systems function in the context of protecting women to maintain stability and balance in society. This study uses qualitative, descriptive methods with data collection techniques through participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. The results are that the UPTD provides six services for protecting women and children, namely complaints, outreach, case management, shelter, mediation, and assistance. Then referring to PERPRES No. 55 of 2024, the number of services has been increased to eleven. However, social challenges such as negative stigma and limited human resources hinder policy implementation. Therefore, UPTD PPA Kota Blitar continues to strive to provide comprehensive services by involving external parties for legal and psychological assistance which then emphasizes the importance of increasing capacity and human resources to ensure effective protection services for victims of violence at the local level.

The legal framework has significant potential to address cybercrime with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which increases the efficiency of detecting, investigating and prosecuting increasingly sophisticated cybercriminals. This technology can perform big data analysis, pattern recognition and identification of suspicious behavior, but the legal framework needs to be updated to cover new crimes such as AI-based fraud and automated cyberattacks. The challenges in law enforcement related to the misuse of AI are quite complex, especially due to the lack of specific regulations to regulate its use in the context of cybercrime. Existing regulations often do not cover new situations, thus reducing the effectiveness of law enforcement. To overcome these challenges, legislators need to update regulations and develop ethical guidelines, while international collaboration and capacity building of law enforcement through education and training are also essential to increase the effectiveness of handling cybercrime.

This study investigates the effectiveness of green-space–based interventions in reducing eco-anxiety among urban adolescents, a population increasingly vulnerable to climate-related psychological distress. Eco-anxiety, characterized by persistent worry, cognitive overload, and emotional tension in response to environmental change, has emerged as a significant mental-health challenge. The intervention examined in this research involved structured exposure to natural environments combined with guided reflective activities over multiple sessions. Quantitative results showed a substantial reduction in eco-anxiety symptoms, with participants experiencing approximately a 30% decrease in climate-related worry after the intervention. Improvements were also observed in emotional resilience, including enhanced self-regulation, greater cognitive clarity, and improved coping capacity. Qualitative findings reinforced these outcomes, revealing that participants reported deeper emotional calm, stronger feelings of agency, and an increased sense of connectedness with nature. They described green spaces as restorative environments that helped reduce overthinking, clear mental fatigue, and create psychological grounding. These experiences appear to activate mental-restoration processes consistent with environmental psychology, suggesting that nature engagement can serve as both a preventive and therapeutic mental-health strategy. A comparison with conventional counseling approaches indicated that while standard psychological support aids emotional regulation, it often fails to address the specific ecological concerns driving eco-anxiety. In contrast, green-space exposure offers a more targeted and holistic benefit, combining physiological relaxation with meaningful emotional reassurance. The study concludes that expanding access to green spaces, incorporating nature-based therapeutic elements into public-health programs, and promoting balanced climate literacy may enhance adolescent well-being in a time of intensifying environmental challenges.

This study examines the strengthening of the ultimum remedium principle in handling corporate crimes as part of a more proportional, efficient, and equitable criminal justice system reform. The ultimum remedium principle views criminal law as a last resort, used after other legal mechanisms, such as administrative resolution, mediation, or administrative sanctions, are deemed inadequate. The application of this principle becomes increasingly important in the corporate context to prevent the negative impact of repressive punishment on business entities that play a strategic role in the national economy. The significant impact of corporations on society and the economy necessitates a more careful and prudent approach to handling corporate crimes. This study uses a normative juridical method with statutory, conceptual, and case study approaches. In analyzing the application of the ultimum remedium principle, this study identifies that although this principle has been incorporated into several laws and regulations, its implementation remains weak. Factors contributing to this include limited understanding of the principle among law enforcement officials, suboptimal technical guidelines regarding the application of the ultimum remedium principle, and public pressure that tends to encourage a repressive approach in handling corporate crimes. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening regulations, increasing the capacity of law enforcement officials, and developing integrated guidelines to ensure the consistent and effective application of the ultimum remedium principle in handling corporate crimes. The application of this principle is also in line with the restorative justice approach, which aims to provide more humane and corrective punishment and create sustainable change for corporations and society.

This research addresses the issue of corporate criminal liability in crimes occurring within Indonesia’s oil and gas sector. In modern criminal law, corporations are increasingly recognized as legal entities capable of bearing criminal responsibility, particularly in cases related to economic offenses, environmental violations, and corruption. The oil and gas sector, being one of the most strategic and high-value industries, is highly susceptible to legal violations by corporate entities. Given the significant role this sector plays in the national economy, the accountability of corporations in this field is of utmost importance to ensure proper legal oversight and prevent harmful practices. The research employs a normative juridical approach, utilizing statutory, conceptual, and case study methods to examine how corporate criminal liability is applied in the oil and gas industry in Indonesia. The findings reveal that the regulation of corporate criminal liability in the oil and gas sector remains underdeveloped, as it is not explicitly addressed in the Oil and Gas Law. This lack of clear and specific regulation creates gaps in law enforcement, leaving corporations with opportunities to evade full accountability for crimes they commit. While existing legal frameworks such as the Anti-Corruption Law, Environmental Law, and PERMA No. 13/2016 provide a foundation for criminalizing corporations in cases of wrongdoing, the practical implementation of these regulations within the oil and gas sector has proven to be insufficient. Several factors contribute to the weak enforcement of corporate criminal liability. First, there are technical challenges in proving corporate involvement in criminal acts, as the actions of a corporation are often difficult to attribute to specific individuals. Second, the capacity of law enforcement agencies to effectively investigate and prosecute corporate crimes is limited, compounded by a lack of expertise and resources.

Drought is a hydrometeorological disaster that significantly affects water availability and agricultural activities. Pesisir Selatan Regency has diverse topographic conditions that influence the level of vulnerability to drought, thereby requiring a comprehensive spatial analysis. This study aims to map drought risk by integrating slope steepness with other biophysical parameters using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The data employed include slope maps derived from DEMNAS, rainfall data (CHIRPS 2024), soil types, land use, and river networks. The analysis was conducted through scoring and overlay methods to produce a drought risk map. The results indicate that areas with very steep slopes (>45%) have a high level of vulnerability due to surface runoff dominance and low infiltration capacity, particularly in Bayang Utara District. In contrast, flat to gently sloping areas dominated by rice fields and forest cover are relatively low-risk. Overall, drought risk in the region is classified into three categories: low, medium, and high. The resulting maps can serve as a basis for local governments in developing spatial planning policies, water conservation infrastructure, and disaster mitigation strategies that are more adaptive and sustainable.

The transport industry stands out as a crucial domain in bolstering Indonesia's journey toward economic revitalization, swift progress, and equitable distribution. At present, Indonesia is in the process of establishing a high-speed railway sector that adheres to global benchmarks. Rail-based transit systems exert considerable influence on the mobility of both individuals and commodities. Trains possess the capacity to convey substantial volumes of commuters and freight in one journey, thereby playing a role in diminishing operational expenses for transportation fleets. Braking is an important aspect of driving because it affects safety, vehicle control, and vehicle efficiency. In order to develop braking research, high-speed train braking test equipment is needed to describe the actual conditions during braking. High-speed trains are a type of train capable of traveling at speeds above 200 km/h. The braking applied to these high-speed trains involves several combined forces, including regenerative braking and pneumatic braking. In regenerative braking, deceleration occurs due to the conversion of kinetic energy into electrical power. This mechanism is carried out when the train is at an operational speed of 220 km/h until it decelerates to 160 km/h. Next, pneumatic braking was applied at a speed of 160 km/h until the train slowed down and came to a stop. This study shows how the calculation process was carried out using a scale of 1:4 at a speed of 160 km/h.

The role of blue carbon in mitigating climate change in coastal Indonesia is very important because ecosystems such as mangrove forests, seagrass beds, and tidal marshes are not able to absorb and store carbon. In addition, these ecosystems support biodiversity, protect coastlines, and increase resilience to climate change. However, human activities, such as land conversion and development, threaten these ecosystems. Therefore, conservation and restoration are important to maintain carbon stocks and strengthen coastal resilience. Research shows that Indonesian mangroves have a carbon absorption capacity five times greater than tropical land forests. Mitigation efforts need a holistic approach that includes conservation and sustainable management. Using qualitative analysis methods through documents, this study recommends strategies to improve the preservation of blue carbon ecosystems, which can help achieve greenhouse gas emission reduction targets and increase coastal resilience to climate change impacts.

The ease of access and availability of online game s on the internet opens up new opportunities as well as challenges. This challenge arises because not all online games are suitable for people to play. Many online games contain negative elements, such as violence, hate speech, and pornography. The provisions in Law No. 1 of 2024 on the Second Amendment to Law No. 19 of 2016 on the Amendment to Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions are the main basis for countermeasures in cyberspace. The type of research the author uses is Normative Legal Research (library research). This research is also called a document study conducted by examining library and secondary materials, especially written regulations or other legal products. The results show that the rapid growth of online gaming has led to serious problems such as the spread of hate speech, bullying, and pornographic content. The lack of clarity in regulations makes it difficult to enforce the law against criminals in the online gaming realm. To overcome this problem, collaboration between various parties is needed, with an emphasis on increasing the capacity of law enforcement, developing digital forensic technology, improving regulations, and increasing legal awareness among the public.
