This study examines community participation in the development of cultural tourism in Kampung Batik Laweyan, Solo, as well as the factors that support and hinder such involvement. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation methods. The informants in this study include batik business actors, local community administrators, community leaders, government representatives, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) active in the field of cultural preservation and tourism. The results of the study show that community participation is divided into three main dimensions, namely economic, socio-cultural, and institutional. In the economic aspect, the community is involved through batik businesses, homestays, and tourism services. In the socio-cultural aspect, involvement can be seen from the preservation of local traditions and the implementation of cultural activities. Meanwhile, in the institutional aspect, participation can be seen from the active role of residents in decision-making forums related to tourism management. Factors driving participation include collective awareness of the importance of cultural preservation, the economic potential of the tourism sector, and support from the government, NGOs, and educational institutions. However, community participation still faces several obstacles such as lack of education on the concept of sustainable tourism, limited access to capital, and lack of coordination between interested institutions. Cross-sectoral collaboration efforts are needed between the community, government, the private sector, and educational institutions in realizing inclusive and sustainable cultural tourism management. Thus, Laweyan Batik Village can become a model for the development of cultural tourism destinations based on active community participation. The implications of these findings suggest that cultural tourism development policies should not only focus on increasing the number of tourist visits, but also on strengthening the capacity of local communities as key actors.

This research aims to evaluate the governance of the Breksi Cliff Tourism destination in Yogyakarta based on the Sapta Pesona indicators. Breksi Cliff, which was originally a mining site, has developed into an attractive geological tourism destination thanks to the creative efforts of the local community. This research used a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 170 tourists who visited Tebing Breksi. The analysis was carried out using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) to identify gaps between the level of importance and performance of Sapta Pesona indicators consisting of security, order, cleanliness, coolness, beauty, friendliness and memories. The results of the analysis show that most of the indicators are in quadrants I and II, which means they are considered important by tourists but their performance varies. Indicators such as staff knowledge, cleanliness of toilets and environmental planning are considered important and have good performance, while road access and prompt service require improvement. Based on these results, it is recommended to maintain good performance and improve aspects that have not met tourist expectations in order to improve the quality of tourism and the competitiveness of Tebing Breksi as a geological tourism destination.

Green Companies are a necessity for businesses to ensure sustainability in environmental management, preventing pollution and environmental damage during construction, production, or when products or services are used by customers, even up to the point of disposal. To provide satisfaction to tourists, tourist attractions must have adequate facilities to support the needs of tourists during their visit and to fulfill their expectations. Green industries and tourism play a crucial role in local economic development and environmental conservation. This study aims to provide assistance to green industries and tourism facilities in Kampung Batik Malon, focusing on sustainable development and empowerment of the local community. Assistance is provided through skills training to improve the quality of batik products and introduce environmentally friendly production techniques. In addition, the development of tourism facilities, such as homestays based on local culture and interactive batik galleries, is implemented to enhance the attractiveness of the tourist destination. Local community empowerment is carried out through participation in the decision-making process and the establishment of cooperatives to improve market access. The assistance also involves a sustainable approach to managing industrial waste and promoting environmentally friendly practices. The results of this assistance implementation show a significant increase in the quality of batik products, an increase in the number of tourist visits, and an increase in the income of the local community. Additionally, Kampung Batik Malon has successfully reduced its environmental impact through more sustainable production practices. Tourism management is an effort to realize a tourist village that has great natural potential. Community service activities carried out in Semboro Village, Jember Regency aim to provide benefits for Pokdarwis and the community who play a direct role in its development. Although orange production in Jember Regency has increased, farmers do not feel the same benefits because the price of oranges is uncertain. Therefore, orange farmers, especially in Semboro District, are eager to develop existing orange plantation businesses into tourism businesses. If we look at the market potential based on tourist visits to Jember Regency, the growth of agrotourism businesses in the area looks very promising. This community service activity is carried out by providing education through lectures and questions and answers. The results of this activity are very useful for increasing community knowledge and abilities. The results of the evaluation of the activity process show that the community understands how to realize a tourist hamlet in Semboro Hamlet, Jember Regency.
