The implementation of a system commonly known as Good Governance refers to the extent to which the government is able to meet the needs and expectations of society through its policies, programs, and actions. The application of Good Governance is not only related to the effectiveness of bureaucracy but also emphasizes principles of transparency, accountability, participation, and fairness in governance. This is crucial because it has a direct impact on improving the quality of public services, which is one of the key indicators of government success. However, achieving the goals of Good Governance is not an easy task, as in practice, there are various challenges and obstacles that must be addressed. One of the most common barriers is the weakness of internal control systems, which should serve as oversight of employee performance. In addition, there remains a shortage of employees with adequate competencies, as well as work environments that do not fully support the implementation of accountable behavior. These conditions can hinder the achievement of the expected standards of Good Governance. Therefore, deepening and internalizing accountable behavior among government employees is highly important. Accountable behavior is not only related to an individual’s responsibility for their tasks but also to the outcomes of their work, which directly affect the wider community. The findings of this study indicate that accountable behavior has been practiced by employees, yet its implementation must be carried out consistently and continuously. Strengthening accountable behavior is thus expected to enhance the assessment of Good Governance implementation, particularly in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) region, which is characterized by high levels of governmental complexity and public service demands.

The findings show that Double Date Discount has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Meanwhile, Free Shipping and Cash on Delivery (COD) did not have a significant effect, although COD showed a positive trend. Simultaneously, these three variables were found to have a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. In addition to examining the individual effects of promotional strategies, this study also explored the interactive relationships between the variables. It was found that while Free Shipping and COD did not individually influence purchasing decisions, their combination with other promotional strategies like Double Date Discount enhanced the overall effectiveness of the promotions. This suggests that promotional strategies should be strategically integrated to maximize their impact on consumer behavior. Furthermore, the study highlights the growing importance of e-commerce platforms like Shopee in influencing purchasing decisions and shaping consumer perceptions. As online shopping continues to grow, understanding the nuances of promotional strategies is essential for businesses aiming to attract and retain customers in a competitive market. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the factors driving consumer purchasing decisions and offer valuable insights for businesses looking to optimize their promotional efforts in the online retail environment.

This study aims to determine the level of body dissatisfaction among individuals experiencing food addiction. Food addiction is characterized by impulsive and uncontrolled eating behavior, particularly toward high-fat and high-sugar foods, accompanied by physical and psychological dependence. This condition increases the risk of weight gain and negatively impacts body image, especially among female college students who are vulnerable to social pressure and ideal beauty standards. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach with incidental sampling techniques. Participants consisted of six female students from the Psychology and Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) programs at Universitas Negeri Padang, selected based on the food addiction criteria outlined in the DSM-5. The Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ-16A) was used to measure body dissatisfaction levels. Data were analyzed using percentage distribution to provide a general overview of body dissatisfaction among the research subjects. The results showed that 66.66% of participants experienced high to very high levels of body dissatisfaction. This indicates a positive relationship between food addiction and body dissatisfaction. Students with food addiction tend to have negative perceptions of their body shape, influenced by social pressures, media exposure, and prevailing beauty ideals in society. These findings highlight the need for appropriate psychological interventions and education about healthy eating habits and self-acceptance in university environments. Through a comprehensive approach, it is hoped that students can develop a more positive body image and avoid eating disorders that may harm their physical and mental health. Additionally, this study can serve as a basis for developing mental health promotion programs and eating disorder prevention efforts among university students.

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic procrastination in completing final assignments among Psychology students at Medan Area University. Academic procrastination is a procrastination behavior often carried out by students when facing important tasks, including their thesis, which can impact graduation delays and decrease learning motivation. Psychological factors, such as emotional intelligence, are thought to influence this procrastination tendency. Emotional intelligence encompasses an individual's ability to recognize, understand, manage, and express emotions healthily, as well as establish positive interpersonal relationships. Students with high emotional intelligence tend to be better able to cope with pressure, manage academic stress, and maintain focus on their academic goals. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method to examine the relationship between the two variables. The subjects in this study were 80 final-year students who were in the process of preparing their final assignments. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with the criteria being active students who were writing their thesis. The instruments used consisted of an emotional intelligence scale and an academic procrastination scale compiled based on relevant theoretical indicators. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson correlation test. The analysis results show a significant negative relationship between emotional intelligence and academic procrastination. This means that the higher a student's emotional intelligence, the lower their level of academic procrastination. This finding suggests that emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in supporting students in completing their final assignments on time. Therefore, developing emotional intelligence through psychological training or guidance could be a strategy to reduce procrastination among students.

This study analyzes the symbolic meaning of the 2025 Easter Parade in Kupang City using a symbolic interactionist approach, with a central focus on the cross as a primary symbol. The cross is not only understood as a sacred religious emblem but also as a medium of social communication whose meaning is dynamically constructed through interactions between parade participants, spectators, and particularly the actors portraying the figure of Jesus. These social interactions allow for the reinterpretation of the symbol’s meaning based on cultural contexts and participants' experiences. The findings reveal that deviant behavior exhibited by some actors portraying Jesus created a dissonance between the ideal meaning of Christ’s suffering and the actual performance displayed during the parade. This mismatch caused cognitive dissonance among viewers and had the potential to distort the intended spiritual message of the symbol. The incident underscores the importance of actors' awareness of the sacred nature of the symbol and the necessity for responsible and contextually appropriate representations in public rituals. The study also emphasizes that religious symbols are fluid and do not possess fixed or absolute meanings. Instead, they are subject to redefinition based on individual and collective experiences, cultural backgrounds, and public perceptions. Within the context of the Easter Parade, the cross becomes a performative medium that reflects the values, beliefs, and social dynamics of the diverse society in Kupang. This research employs a mixed-methods approach by integrating both quantitative and qualitative data to provide a more comprehensive understanding. Quantitative data offers general insights into audience perceptions of the symbolic performance, while qualitative data explores deeper layers of symbolic meaning and the sociocultural implications that arise. Overall, this study contributes to the discourse on religion, symbolism, and public ritual by highlighting the importance of intentionality, appropriate representation, and cultural sensitivity in maintaining the sacredness of religious symbols in dynamic and pluralistic public spaces

Financial stability plays a vital role in determining an individual’s overall well-being, and saving is considered one of the most fundamental practices for managing personal finances and preparing for future uncertainties. In many developing regions, the level of savings among employees remains relatively low, making it crucial to understand the factors that encourage or hinder saving behavior. This study aims to examine the influence of financial inclusion, lifestyle, and financial planning on the saving behavior of private sector employees in Jombang Regency, Indonesia. The research employed a quantitative approach by distributing structured questionnaires to 100 respondents who met the eligibility criteria. The participants were selected using a purposive sampling technique to ensure that only employees with sufficient financial exposure and employment stability were included. The instrument used a Likert-scale to measure perceptions and behaviors, and the data collected were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS version 3 software. The findings reveal that financial inclusion, lifestyle, and financial planning each exert a significant and positive effect on saving behavior. Employees who have greater access to financial services and products are more likely to engage in consistent saving practices. Likewise, individuals who adopt a prudent lifestyle and maintain effective financial planning demonstrate stronger saving discipline. These results underscore the importance of integrating financial literacy and planning strategies with broader financial inclusion programs. In conclusion, promoting financial inclusion, encouraging simple and sustainable lifestyle choices, and strengthening financial planning skills can collectively enhance saving behavior among employees. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and employers seeking to foster long-term financial resilience and economic security for the workforce.

This study was conducted to explore in depth how ethical pressure, ethical orientation, and religiosity influence earnings management practices, while also examining whether religiosity plays a role as a moderating variable in this relationship. Using a quantitative, survey-based approach, this study involved 109 respondents with professional backgrounds and experience in accounting and finance, thus deemed relevant in understanding the phenomenon of earnings management from a practitioner's perspective. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), which is considered appropriate for examining relationships between latent variables with high complexity. The results show that ethical pressure has a positive and significant influence on earnings management practices, meaning that the greater the ethical pressure a person feels, the higher the tendency to engage in such practices. Conversely, ethical orientation shows a negative and significant influence, so that individuals with a strong ethical orientation tend to reject this manipulative practice. Religiosity is also shown to have a significant negative influence, so that the higher a person's level of religiosity, the lower their tendency to engage in earnings management. Furthermore, moderation analysis found that religiosity strengthens the influence of ethical orientation in suppressing earnings management practices, meaning that individuals who are both religious and have a high ethical orientation are more consistent in maintaining their integrity. However, the role of religiosity was not proven to be significant in moderating the relationship between ethical pressure and earnings management practices, indicating that although religiosity can shape ethical attitudes, it is not sufficient to mitigate the impact of strong external pressures. These findings imply the importance of strengthening ethical values and religiosity in accounting education and practice to prevent opportunistic behavior that is detrimental to related parties.

Bullying victimization remains a significant issue in educational environments, including at SMPN. This phenomenon has a detrimental impact on the victims, both physically and psychologically. Bullying victimization refers to the experience of an individual being subjected to aggressive actions by others repeatedly over time, with the intent to cause harm or discomfort. These actions can be carried out by one or more individuals and often affect the victim's well-being in the long term. One of the factors believed to influence bullying victimization is executive function. Executive function refers to a person’s ability to control impulses, plan, make decisions, and adjust behavior to achieve long-term goals. This function plays a crucial role in regulating responses to social and emotional situations, which can affect whether an individual is more vulnerable to becoming a victim of bullying. This study aims to examine the relationship between executive function and bullying victimization among 194 students at SMPN X Lima Puluh Kota. The research uses a quantitative correlational approach with proportionate stratified random sampling. The instrument used to measure bullying victimization was developed based on the aspects defined by Smith, et al. (1999), while the executive function instrument was based on the aspects outlined by Spinella (2005). The results of the analysis using the product moment method show a significant negative correlation between executive function and bullying victimization, with a correlation value of r = -0.863 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). This indicates that the better the executive function of students, the lower the level of bullying victimization they experience. Conversely, students with weaker executive functions are more susceptible to becoming victims of bullying.

Narcotics are substances or drugs, whether synthetic or semi-synthetic, derived from plants or non-plant materials that have the potential to cause disturbances or changes in human consciousness. Their use may result in loss of sensation, impaired taste, and, in more severe cases, strong dependency or addiction. While narcotics have undeniable benefits in the fields of medicine, healthcare, and scientific development—particularly in pain management and research—their misuse carries significant risks for both individuals and society. This study adopts a normative legal approach by analyzing existing regulations, statutory provisions, and relevant academic literature regarding narcotics and crime. The findings reveal that narcotics abuse is often closely linked to criminal behavior, as drug dependence can negatively influence psychological stability, decision-making, and social conduct, potentially driving individuals to engage in unlawful acts. Furthermore, crime is a relative concept shaped by context, culture, and societal norms, which means its connection with narcotics requires multidimensional analysis. Law enforcement efforts against narcotics-related crimes have been continuously pursued by authorities through preventive, repressive, and judicial measures, with various court rulings highlighting the gravity of the problem. However, legal enforcement alone is insufficient; a holistic strategy is needed that combines strict law enforcement with rehabilitation, psychological support, and community education. Such a comprehensive approach is expected to reduce narcotics misuse, prevent recidivism, and minimize its destructive impacts. Ultimately, this research seeks to provide deeper insights into the dynamic relationship between narcotics abuse and crime, while offering practical recommendations to achieve more effective solutions for protecting individuals, strengthening social resilience, and promoting public welfare

Obesity, central obesity, and hypercholesterolemia are prevalent yet often unrecognized health conditions that significantly elevate the risk for various non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and cardiovascular disorders. These conditions, when left undiagnosed and untreated, contribute to the growing public health burden worldwide. This community service program was designed to raise awareness and provide early detection of these conditions through basic health screening measures, including body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, and blood cholesterol levels. The program was implemented in Tomang Subdistrict, West Jakarta, where 90 participants were involved. The findings from the screening revealed concerning results: 67% of the participants were classified as obese, and 58% had central obesity, both of which are major risk factors for NCDs. A deeper analysis of lifestyle factors highlighted that high-fat diets, sedentary behaviors, and night shift work were significant contributors to the high rates of obesity and metabolic abnormalities observed. The educational outreach component of the program, which included the provision of information about healthy diets, exercise, and the importance of regular health screenings, proved to be effective in raising awareness about these health issues. Moreover, the simple health screening process was well-received by the community and contributed to a greater understanding of individual health risks. This initiative is expected to serve as a sustainable model for promoting health and preventing metabolic diseases in the community. The findings underscore the importance of early detection and education as critical strategies in the fight against obesity and related NCDs, suggesting that such programs can play a key role in reducing the future burden of chronic diseases in underserved populations

This study aims to examine the influence of tourist behavior on interest in visiting historical tourist destinations in Bandung, with a focus on Generation Z as a growing potential tourist segment. Tourist behavior in this context is analyzed through four main factors, namely cultural, social, personal, and psychological factors that theoretically can influence tourist decisions in choosing a destination. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-verification method, where primary data is obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents included in the Generation Z category and who have or have the potential to visit historical tourist destinations in Bandung. The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Square (PLS), because it is able to test the relationship between variables simultaneously and partially. The results show that tourist behavior simultaneously has a significant effect on interest in visiting historical tourist destinations. However, partial analysis shows that not all factors contribute equally. Social, personal, and psychological factors are proven to have a significant influence on the interest in visiting Generation Z. This indicates that social interaction, lifestyle, individual characteristics, and motivation and psychological needs are more dominant in encouraging Generation Z to choose historical tourism as a destination. On the other hand, cultural factors do not show a significant influence, indicating that cultural background is not a major consideration in Generation Z's travel decisions. This finding provides practical implications for managers of historical tourism destinations in Bandung City, namely the need to develop promotional strategies and service development that emphasize social aspects, personalization of experiences, and fulfillment of the psychological needs of Generation Z. Thus, the appeal of historical tourism can be improved and be more relevant to the preferences of the younger generation.

In the midst of increasing organizational competition, issues of low organizational commitment remain prevalent, including at the Office of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Areas of Bali Province, as indicated by a high absenteeism rate and ineffective work behaviors. These problems are suspected to be influenced by inadequate training methods, low self-efficacy among employees, and a lack of job satisfaction. The present study explores the extent to which employee training and perceived self-efficacy contribute to fostering organizational commitment, with job satisfaction positioned as an intervening construct. Conducted within the context of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Agency of Bali Province, the research engaged a workforce population of 610 individuals. Through the application of the Slovin formula, a representative sample of 86 respondents was identified. Data were gathered through a combination of structured questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and document review. Analytical processing was undertaken using path analysis to model the causal relationships among variables. The empirical evidence revealed that both training initiatives and self-efficacy perceptions have a favorable and statistically significant relationship with employees’ commitment to the organization. These two factors were also found to positively affect job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction emerged as a critical determinant that reinforces organizational commitment. The analysis further supports the mediating role of job satisfaction, demonstrating that the influence of training and self-efficacy on organizational commitment is also conveyed indirectly through improved job satisfaction levels. The findings of this study highlight the importance of investing in employee development through effective training programs and boosting self-efficacy to enhance job satisfaction.

Drug abuse among adolescents is a serious problem that requires comprehensive and sustainable prevention efforts. Adolescence is a developmental phase characterized by the search for identity, emotional instability, and high levels of influence from the social environment, including peers. In this context, family education plays a central role as the first line of defense in protecting adolescents from the negative influence of drugs. Through open communication, wise supervision, and consistent love and emotional support, parents can create a safe and supportive environment for their children's mental development. Effective family education includes strengthening moral, religious, and social values, aiming to shape adolescents' character and resilience to environmental pressures. In certain situations, family education also needs to be supported by a scientific approach, one of which is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is a psychological approach that focuses on improving negative thought patterns and behaviors. In the context of discussing drugs, CBT can help adolescents identify the emotional and social triggers that lead them to try illicit substances and equip them with strategies to cope healthily. The integration of family education and CBT therapy creates a comprehensive approach—from the home to professional support—to strengthen adolescents' mental resilience. This collaboration not only reduces the risk of addiction but also encourages adolescents to become more self-aware, emotionally healthy, and productive individuals. Therefore, synergy between families, schools, and mental health professionals is crucial in creating a drug-free generation of young people ready to face the challenges of modern life. Therefore, the active involvement of all parties, including educational institutions and the community, is essential to creating an environment that supports early drug prevention.

This research seeks to examine the impact of inflation and exchange rates on the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2024. The study uses secondary monthly data for inflation, exchange rates, and the JCI, which were sourced from the official websites of Bank Indonesia and IDX. A quantitative approach is employed, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis along with classical assumption tests and both simultaneous and partial hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that, individually, both inflation and exchange rates have a significant effect on the JCI. When analyzed together, inflation and exchange rates also significantly influence the JCI. These results underscore the importance of macroeconomic stability, particularly the stability of the rupiah exchange rate, in shaping stock market trends in Indonesia. The study suggests that fluctuations in the inflation rate and the exchange rate can lead to uncertainty in the stock market, impacting investor decisions and market performance. These findings are particularly relevant in the context of Indonesia’s open economy, where external factors and global economic conditions can also influence domestic financial markets. This research aims to offer valuable insights to investors, policymakers, and academics, helping them understand how key macroeconomic variables, such as inflation and exchange rates, influence the dynamics of the capital market. The study emphasizes the need for maintaining economic stability to foster a conducive environment for market growth and investor confidence. By analyzing these macroeconomic factors, the study provides a clearer understanding of their role in stock market performance and offers a foundation for future research and policy development in the Indonesian financial market. Additionally, the results of this research could serve as a basis for further studies that explore the relationship between macroeconomic factors and stock market behavior in emerging markets.
