This study aims to examine the utilization of the official Instagram account @baznasindonesia as a digital platform for educating the public about zakat. In today’s era of rapid technological development, social media, particularly Instagram, has become an effective medium for disseminating information, raising awareness, and enhancing public participation in zakat. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that BAZNAS leverages various Instagram features such as carousel feeds, reels, and Stories to present educational content that is engaging, easy to understand, and aligned with the communication style of younger generations. Furthermore, interaction with the public is strengthened through the comments section and Direct Messages (DM), enabling responsive two-way communication. Challenges encountered include ensuring information accuracy, addressing negative comments, and adapting content to the fast-changing digital trends. Nevertheless, BAZNAS seeks to innovate by collaborating with influencers, public figures, and partner institutions to expand the reach of zakat education. This study concludes that the @baznasindonesia Instagram account has proven effective in enhancing zakat literacy, building public trust, and reinforcing the institution’s image as the official zakat management authority in Indonesia. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of digital communication strategies in Islamic philanthropy and da’wah, as well as provide a useful reference for future research exploring other social media platforms with different methodological approaches.

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged government institutions to transform the way they manage data and deliver public services. The Protocol and Leadership Communication Division (Prokopim) of Situbondo Regency plays a strategic role in managing the schedules of regional leaders and documenting each official activity as a form of accountability. Currently, these processes are still managed manually, which causes obstacles in recording, searching, and reporting data. Such limitations reduce efficiency and transparency, indicating the urgency of a structured, accessible, and integrated web-based information system. This research aims to design a web-based system that integrates employee data, leadership agendas, and documentation records into a single platform. The research method combines field observations, interviews with Prokopim staff, and literature studies to analyze user requirements. The system design adopts the Waterfall model, which includes requirement analysis, database design, user interface design, and system modeling using Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams such as use case, activity, and sequence diagrams. Database structures are represented through class diagrams, while user interface designs are developed using prototyping. The findings of this study produce a system blueprint that provides a structured framework for digitalizing agenda and documentation processes. The proposed design improves accessibility, accuracy, and efficiency in managing leadership activities. Furthermore, this system can be considered as a practical model for applying digital transformation in government institutions, supporting better accountability and service quality in the public sector.

This study analyzes the public relations efforts of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Banten in maintaining its existence in the digital era and identifies the inhibiting factors faced. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, this research involved in-depth interviews with informants from various divisions at RRI Banten, as well as observations of the communication strategies and programs implemented. The results of the study indicate that RRI Banten has undertaken a significant digital transformation, including through the development of the RRI Digital application as a means to expand broadcast access, active use of social media to reach a wider audience, and the implementation of a broadcast program segmentation strategy to adapt to the needs and preferences of listeners from various groups. However, the study also identified several crucial inhibiting factors. Limited human resources, particularly in mastery of digital technology, remain a major obstacle in optimizing the transformation program. In addition, the uneven geographic coverage of broadcasts in some areas limits public access to RRI services. Increasingly fierce competition with other digital media that offer greater flexibility, speed, and interactivity also poses a major challenge. On the other hand, the lack of optimal digital promotion and difficulties in reaching the interests of the younger generation hamper the increase in RRI's popularity in the era of media digitalization.

The results of this study indicate that DT Peduli Jambi has not yet fully optimized the management of productive zakat, despite having a structured management system in place. Based on data analysis, several key factors were identified as obstacles to optimization. First, there is a lack of public trust in the institution, as reflected in the absence of significant growth in zakat collection over the past three years. This condition highlights the need for more effective communication and transparency strategies. Second, administrative challenges remain, such as a record-keeping system that is not yet fully integrated digitally and limited human resources with expertise in managing productive zakat. Third, resistance to change among beneficiaries persists, with approximately 30% refusing to adopt modern business management methods offered by the program. Fourth, there is a high dependency on assistance, with 40% of beneficiaries still heavily reliant on institutional mentoring. Fifth, participation in training programs remains low, with an average attendance rate of only 65%. Nevertheless, overall the program is categorized as “fairly successful” with an achievement score of 70 out of 100. This indicates that productive zakat holds great potential to promote economic empowerment of the community but has not yet been maximized due to structural and cultural barriers. Therefore, improvements are needed in transparency, capacity building of human resources, as well as persuasive and participatory approaches for beneficiaries, so that the goal of economic empowerment through productive zakat can be more effectively realized.

The presence of colloquial expressions in public signage commonly referred to ba- hasa gaul has increasingly become a linguistic hallmark in various tourism and recreational ar- eas in Indonesia. This study investigates the use of informal language on public signage at Pantai Kelan, Bali, and analyzes such linguistic choices that reflect social dynamics, youth identity, and evolving modes of communication in public space. Grounded in sociolinguistic perspectives, the research highlights the role of signage as not only a medium of information, but also a space for constructing shared meaning and fostering engagement through culturally resonant expressions. This qualitative research employed observational and documentation methods. It focused on twelve public signs installed at Pantai Kelan. Data were collected through field observations, photographic documentation, and subsequent transcription and analysis of the linguistic forms. The analysis fo- cused on identifying dominant lexical patterns, stylistic choices, and communicative functions of the language used. The signs were then interpreted with reference to their potential cultural, social, and interactional implications within the broader framework of linguistic landscape studies. The findings indicate that the use of bahasa gaul in signage serves multiple purposes: capturing atten- tion, expressing local identity, evoking humor, and connecting with a predominantly young and digital-native audience. Rather than being perceived as informal or inappropriate, such language use contributes to the effectiveness of public communication in specific contexts. The study con- tributes to the growing body of literature on language in public space and emphasizes the impor- tance of cultural relevance and sociolinguistic awareness in designing public signage that is both meaningful and impactful

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes in the patterns of social interaction in society. Social media, especially TikTok, now functions not only as a means of entertainment but also as an effective medium for disseminating social, cultural, and humanitarian values. One interesting phenomenon in this context is the emergence of altruistic content, namely messages that represent caring, kindness, and selfless assistance. Content with altruistic nuances has its own appeal because it can create emotional closeness with the audience and has the potential to be used by business actors as a communication strategy to build a positive brand image. This study aims to identify and describe the forms of altruistic messages displayed in the TikTok account @mr.kingthread owned by Batik Benang Raja. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a content analysis method based on the altruism theory of Eisenberg and Mussen, as well as the six stages of content analysis according to Klaus Krippendorff. Data were collected from 24 videos uploaded between January 1–31, 2025, through observation and documentation techniques. Then, they were analyzed and categorized into six indicators of altruism: sharing, cooperation, helping, donating, honesty, and generosity. The results of the study show that @mr.kingthread's content consistently displays altruism through sincere, emotional, and easily accepted actions by the audience. The aspect of donating emerged as the most dominant element, followed by aspects of cooperation, helping, and sharing. The natural, authentic, and uncontrived message delivery strengthens emotional closeness with the audience and increases public trust in Batik Benang Raja's image as a brand that cares about humanitarian values. This study aims to analyze the role of digital communication between parents and schools in improving the effectiveness of student attendance administration and scholarship management at SMA XYZ, and to identify factors influencing its implementation within a sustainable educational ecosystem. The research employed a narrative literature review approach with a comprehensive literature analysis from major academic databases, including Google Scholar and ProQuest Education Database, covering publications from 2010 to 2024. Data were collected through systematic searches using keyword combinations of digital communication, parent-school communication, educational technology, student attendance, scholarship administration, and family engagement, followed by thematic analysis to identify patterns and research gaps. Digital communication demonstrated high intensity (4.2/5 score) with WhatsApp as the dominant platform (65%). While 70% of parents increased their academic involvement, only 45% provided appropriate emotional support. Significant barriers included digital divide (30% infrastructure constraints), digital literacy gaps (25%), and boundary management issues (40% of teachers contacted outside working hours). Digital communication improved administrative transparency and real-time monitoring, though communication patterns remained predominantly unidirectional, with only 35% of parents providing active feedback. The study contributes to Digital Education Communication Theory by identifying paradoxes in digital parental engagement and confirming Digital Divide Theory in educational contexts. Findings expand Family Engagement Theory by revealing how real-time information access can create surveillance parenting behaviors that may be counterproductive to student well-being. Results indicate an urgent need for comprehensive digital communication policies, parent digital literacy programs, and infrastructure support to create an equitable and sustainable digital educational ecosystem that balances accessibility with professional boundaries.
