Adolescents face significant barriers in accessing reproductive health services due to fears of privacy breaches and social stigma. In primary healthcare facilities, healthcare professionals are often trapped in a dilemma between the obligation to maintain medical confidentiality based on professional ethics and national regulatory demands requiring parental involvement for underage patients. This study aims to analyze the practice of protecting adolescent patient data privacy at Mardi Saras Primary Clinic and identify the gap between practical implementation and the norms of medical ethics and applicable legal regulations. This study employs a socio-legal research method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with doctors and nurses, observation of service procedures, and study of the clinic's Standard Operating Procedures. The results indicate that although Mardi Saras Primary Clinic has implemented basic confidentiality protocols such as closed consultation rooms, there are substantial weaknesses in informed consent management, which still heavily relies on parental presence for all adolescent cases. This practice is driven by healthcare professionals' fear of legal risks, thereby ignoring the principle of developing autonomy in adolescents. These findings indicate a disparity between rigid administrative compliance and the spirit of protecting adolescent health rights within national regulations. The implication of this study underscores the urgency of developing specific SOPs that are sensitive to adolescent rights, as well as the need for continuous training for healthcare professionals regarding the legal and ethical boundaries of maintaining confidentiality for underage patients without compromising legal safety aspects.

Vector-borne infectious diseases remain a public health concern, particularly in tropical regions such as Indonesia. Sanitation clinics at public health centers (Puskesmas) play a role in identifying environmental risk factors and planning interventions to support vector-borne disease control. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of sanitation clinics in environmental intervention planning. The method used was a literature review of scientific articles, journals, and related documents published between 2015-2025. Data were analyzed descriptively to identify forms of environmental interventions and their effectiveness. The results showed that sanitation clinics play an important role in environmental health counseling, sanitation inspections, health education, and environmental intervention planning. However, their implementation still faces challenges, including limited numbers of sanitarians, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and suboptimal environmental interventions. Nevertheless, sanitation clinics continue to contribute to the prevention of environment-based diseases and vector control. Therefore, strengthening resources and improving the quality of intervention planning are necessary to enhance the effectiveness of sanitation clinic programs.

Legal education in higher education institutions remains predominantly dominated by cognitive approaches, which have not fully succeeded in shaping students’ character, particularly in terms of integrity, professional responsibility, and legal empathy. This condition highlights the need for learning approaches that integrate practical experience with professional ethical values. This community engagement activity aims to strengthen the character of law students through a clinical legal education-based intervention integrated with professional ethics education. The activity was conducted using a participatory approach involving 35 law students from the Faculty of Law at Universitas Madura over the period from 21 April to 13 May 2026. The intervention consisted of a series of activities, including legal education sessions, basic legal consultations, and structured ethical reflection. The community partners were local residents with limited access to legal information and services. The results indicate an improvement in students’ character scores across several dimensions, namely integrity (from 3.42 to 4.21), professional responsibility (from 3.51 to 4.28), and legal empathy (from 3.37 to 4.35). In addition, more than 80% of students reported that the activity enhanced their understanding of legal practice and the social conditions of the community. The activity also had a positive impact on the community, particularly in improving legal literacy. These findings demonstrate that experience-based legal clinics are effective in strengthening law students’ character while simultaneously providing tangible benefits to the community. Therefore, community engagement activities based on clinical legal education can be developed as a strategic medium for strengthening character education in law faculties.

The highly competitive healthcare industry in Cirebon poses a significant challenge for Klinik Utama X, especially as a non-BPJS facility. This condition requires a paradigm shift from a provider-centric marketing mix to a patient-centric approach to retain patient loyalty. This study aims to evaluate and formulate the marketing strategy of Klinik Utama X using a comparative 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) and 4C (Customer Solution, Customer Cost, Convenience, Communication) approach based on SWOT analysis. This research used a qualitative descriptive design with purposive sampling, gathering primary and secondary data through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The data were systematically evaluated using Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrices. The findings reveal that the clinic is strategically positioned in Quadrant I, with an IFAS score of 2.53 and an EFAS score of 2.60, indicating strong internal capabilities to seize external opportunities. The recommended aggressive growth strategy involves integrating psychiatric and aesthetic services, penetrating the Business-to-Business (B2B) market through corporate medical check-ups, accelerating digitalization via telemedicine and online queuing, and preparing for BPJS accreditation. The managerial implications suggest that the clinic must prioritize resolving internal human resources and strengthening financial record-keeping systems before investing heavily in medical assets, while actively expanding digital convenience and corporate partnerships to secure short-term financial stability.

Anxiety is a common psychological problem experienced by third-trimester pregnant women, particularly as they approach labor. If left unaddressed, this condition can negatively impact both maternal and fetal health. This community service activity aimed to provide education on deep breathing relaxation techniques as an effort to reduce anxiety among third-trimester pregnant women at Juliana Harahap Clinic in 2025. The methods used included lectures, direct simulation, and question-and-answer sessions supported by leaflet media, involving 20 third-trimester pregnant women as participants. Anxiety levels were measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) before and after the intervention and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that prior to the education, the majority of respondents experienced moderate anxiety (55.0%) and severe anxiety (30.0%). Following the intervention, a significant reduction was observed, with 30.0% of respondents categorized as anxiety-free and 55.0% classified under mild anxiety, with no respondents remaining in the severe anxiety category. Statistical analysis yielded a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), with a decrease in the mean anxiety score from 2.15 to 1.15. It is concluded that deep breathing relaxation education significantly reduces anxiety levels in third-trimester pregnant women and is recommended for integration into routine antenatal care service programs at healthcare facilities.

Effective communication through the SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) method is a crucial component in improving patient safety and the quality of nursing care. However, nursing students often fail to systematically implement SBAR communication during clinical practice. This community service project aims to improve students' SBAR communication competency through mentoring-based training with an experiential learning approach at RSU Haji Medan. The method used was a pretest–posttest design without a control group involving 15 nursing students. The intervention was carried out through the stages of reinforcing the SBAR concept, direct mentoring in the treatment room, and observation- and reflection-based evaluation. Competency was measured using an observation sheet covering the aspects of Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation, communication clarity, and self-confidence. The results showed an increase in the average score from 65.6 in the pretest to 83.8 in the posttest, with an average increase of 18.2 points and all participants experienced an increase (100%). These findings indicate that experiential learning-based mentoring is effective in improving students' SBAR communication competency. In addition to improving individual skills, this program also contributes to building a culture of professional communication and supporting patient safety in the hospital environment

The development of molecular biology has significantly transformed clinical laboratory diagnostics, particularly through DNA analysis. One of the most widely used techniques is the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), a DNA amplification method capable of rapidly, sensitively, and accurately multiplying specific genetic fragments. PCR has become an essential diagnostic tool for detecting infectious, genetic, and malignant diseases, even at early stages when the amount of target DNA is minimal. This article aims to analyze the role of PCR in DNA analysis as a diagnostic tool in clinical laboratories, including its working principles, advantages, and relevance in modern clinical practice. This study employs a literature review approach by examining various scientific sources such as international journals and molecular biology textbooks. The findings indicate that PCR offers high sensitivity and specificity compared to conventional methods, thereby improving diagnostic accuracy and accelerating appropriate therapeutic decisions. Therefore, PCR represents a crucial innovation in clinical laboratory diagnostics that significantly contributes to improving healthcare quality.
