The professionalism of novice lecturers is essential for improving the quality of higher education, particularly in Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKI). This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Short Course Program for Novice Lecturer Competency Development (PKDP) and examine the contribution of its learning materials to strengthening novice lecturers' professionalism at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi in 2026. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The program was conducted through blended learning, consisting of face-to-face sessions on 10–11 June 2026 at Aston Hotel Jambi and online sessions from 14–21 June 2026. The findings reveal that the PKDP was implemented systematically and effectively enhanced participants' pedagogical, professional, social, and academic competencies. The program materials also strengthened participants' readiness, enthusiasm, and commitment to carrying out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. These findings indicate that PKDP is an effective strategy for developing novice lecturer professionalism and improving the quality of human resources in Islamic higher education.

Perigel: Jurnal Penyuluhan Masyarakat Indonesia 2026 Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Semarang

This community service activity aims to improve lecturers' competence in supervising master's student thesis proposals through interactive workshops and intensive mentoring at the Adias Institute of Technology and Business, Pemalang. The activity was carried out in two online sessions via Zoom Meeting on April 11 and May 21, 2026, involving 24 participants consisting of 12 active supervisors and 12 master's students. The approach used refers to Kolb's experiential learning model, including socialization of needs, workshops on academic standards and feedback techniques, mentoring simulations, and formative evaluations based on competency rubrics. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in all indicators of mentoring competence with an average increase of 51.7 percent. All 12 lecturers successfully developed structured mentoring plans, and 24 student proposals reached the seminar-ready stage. Theoretically, these findings strengthen the relevance of the experiential learning approach in developing lecturers' academic competence. Practically, this program provides a replicable intervention model for private universities in standardizing the quality of thesis supervision at the master's level.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesenjangan minat belajar yang melekat di kalangan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan minat belajar pada mahasiswa STAI Sebelas April mengacu pada tiga tipe gaya belajar, yaitu auditory, visual dan kinestetik berdasar gender. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode komparasional menggunakan analisis data statistik melalui uji Two Way Anova dengan General Linear Model. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkap temuan yaitu: Terdapat pengaruh gaya belajar auditory, visual dan kinestetik terhadap minat belajar mahasiswa (p = < 0.001); Namun tidak terdapat pengaruh gender terhadap minat belajar (p = 0.610); Dan tidak terdapat interaksi gaya belajar dengan gender dalam membangun minat belajar mahasiswa (p = 0.704 > 0.05). Penelitian ini berimplikasi bahwa keragaman gaya belajar mahasiswa terkait erat dalam memupuk minat belajarnya. Penelitian merekomendasikan agar dosen mengakomodir semua keragaman gaya belajar di dalam proses perkuliahan.

Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah membantu guru menguasai teknologi dan media pembelajaran berbasis digital, khususnya Canva, untuk menciptakan media animasi yang menarik, interaktif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa; mendorong integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran, sehingga proses belajar mengajar menjadi lebih inovatif dan sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi ini mendukung implementasi program MBKM dan IKU terutama pada aspek Kolaborasi Perguruan Tinggi dengan Masyarakat artinya mempertemukan mahasiswa, dosen, dan masyarakat (guru) dalam kegiatan yang saling memberdayakan, seperti sosialisasi pembuatan media animasi, serta Mahasiswa dapat terlibat aktif dalam pengembangan pendidikan di SD Negeri 096140 Parhundalian. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan sosialisasi pembuatan media animasi menggunakan Canva adalah metode partisipatif, yang melibatkan guru secara aktif melalui pelatihan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan sosialisasi ini yaitu peserta mendapatkan tambahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang Media Pembelajaran animasi menggunakan canva dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, peserta juga antusias selama kegiatan dan langsung menerapkan media pembelajaran simulasi untuk mata pelajaran yang diampu.

The development of information technology, particularly the use of smartphones, has changed human activity patterns and significantly impacted the education sector. The "one-stop-shop" concept reflects the use of mobile devices as centers for various activities, including learning. This situation drives the need for innovation in the development of adaptive and interactive learning media. One solution that can be developed is an Android-based mobile application using Flutter, which can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process. The Association of Multimedia and Information Technology Professionals (PPMultindo), an organization focused on technology, has developed an Android-based learning platform. This platform is designed to provide flexible access to materials, support interactivity, and facilitate collaboration between educators. Features such as learning analysis, material recommendations, and automatic evaluation are expected to improve the quality of the learning experience. However, the implementation of this technology still faces various challenges, including limited technological competence of educators, inadequate infrastructure, and adjustments to curriculum needs. Therefore, collaborative efforts are needed to optimize the use of mobile technology to support educational transformation in the digital era.

Developing Android-based applications using Flutter is one innovation that can increase efficiency and provide a more personalized and adaptive learning experience. In this context, educators are required to continue innovating to meet the increasingly diverse and dynamic needs of students in the digital era. The Multimedia and Information Technology Professional Association (PPMultindo), an organization that brings together technology professionals, is taking advantage of this opportunity by developing an Android-based learning platform. This platform is designed to provide easier, more flexible, and more interactive access to learning materials, as well as support the process of designing more engaging materials. Features such as learning data analysis, material recommendations, and automatic evaluation are expected to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the teaching and learning process, while also providing a means for collaboration between members. Digitalization is an effort to utilize digital-based technology to transform previously conventional work systems into more efficient and effective ones, including in the management of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to apply digitalization to corn-based coffe MSMEs in Talang Balai Baru 1 Village, Tanjung Raja District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the production and marketing activities of corn coffe MSMEs still use conventional methods. The implementation of digitaization has not been optimally implemented due to the low digital literacy of business owners and limited time in business managemen. Nevertheless, the initial implementation of digitalization through the use of social media and online sales platforms has had a positive impact in the form of expanding market reach and increasing ease of communication between producers and consumers. Thus, the digitalization of corn coffe MSME products has great potential to increase competitiveness and business sustainability if implemented gradually and continuously. .

Sevaka : Hasil Kegiatan Layanan Masyarakat 2026 STIKES Columbia Asia Medan

Effective communication through the SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) method is a crucial component in improving patient safety and the quality of nursing care. However, nursing students often fail to systematically implement SBAR communication during clinical practice. This community service project aims to improve students' SBAR communication competency through mentoring-based training with an experiential learning approach at RSU Haji Medan. The method used was a pretest–posttest design without a control group involving 15 nursing students. The intervention was carried out through the stages of reinforcing the SBAR concept, direct mentoring in the treatment room, and observation- and reflection-based evaluation. Competency was measured using an observation sheet covering the aspects of Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation, communication clarity, and self-confidence. The results showed an increase in the average score from 65.6 in the pretest to 83.8 in the posttest, with an average increase of 18.2 points and all participants experienced an increase (100%). These findings indicate that experiential learning-based mentoring is effective in improving students' SBAR communication competency. In addition to improving individual skills, this program also contributes to building a culture of professional communication and supporting patient safety in the hospital environment

The environmental crisis is a global issue that has become increasingly evident and directly affects human life, including rural communities. Deforestation, environmental pollution, and changes in human lifestyles reflect an imbalanced relationship between humanity and nature. From a Christian faith perspective, the environmental crisis is not merely an ecological or social problem. This article aims to examine ecotheology as a foundation of Christian faith in responding to environmental crises, while also describing its practical implementation through a Community Service program conducted by lecturers and students of the Master’s Program in Christian Religious Education at IAKN Tarutung in 2025 in Situmeang Pintu Bosi Village, Sipoholon District, North Tapanuli Regency. The method employed is a qualitative approach using a participatory service model, which includes ecotheological material presentations, Bible-based reflective discussions, and the accompaniment of simple environmental care actions with the local community. The service materials emphasize the understanding of God as the Creator and Owner of all creation, the cultural mandate and stewardship, the reality of sin and its impact on the degradation of creation, and the role of the church and believers in preserving environmental integrity. The results indicate an increased theological understanding among the community regarding Christian responsibility toward the environment, along with the growth of ethical awareness to care for nature through concrete actions in daily life. This activity affirms that ecotheology is not merely conceptual, but has practical relevance in fostering faith-based ecological awareness.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of lecturer certification on the performance of lecturers at the Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja. This study uses a quantitative method with a multiple linear regression approach, and data processing was carried out using SPSS version 23. The data collection procedures included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The study involved 56 respondents who were selected using simple random sampling with the Slovin formula. The results of the t-test showed that lecturer certification has a significant effect on lecturer performance. This was evidenced by the significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a t-value of 7.099, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.005. This means that lecturer certification (variable X) positively affects lecturer performance (variable Y). The conclusion of this study is that lecturer certification has a positive and significant impact on improving lecturer performance at Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja. This study recommends that the university pay attention to the importance of lecturer certification to support the improvement of teaching quality and lecturer performance in the future.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem informasi keberadaan dosen dan karyawan di Gedung Elektro Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis menggunakan metode face recognition berbasis Haar Cascade untuk deteksi wajah dan Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) untuk klasifikasi wajah. Sistem memanfaatkan ESP32-CAM sebagai perangkat akuisisi citra dan aplikasi Python untuk antarmuka grafis (GUI) secara real-time. Pengujian dilakukan pada variasi jarak (0,5 m, 1 m, dan 2 m) serta kondisi pencahayaan (terang, sedang, gelap). Hasil menunjukkan akurasi deteksi wajah rata-rata mencapai 83%, dengan pencahayaan terang dan sedang menghasilkan akurasi 100%, sedangkan kondisi gelap turun hingga 50%. Akurasi pengenalan wajah rata-rata sebesar 60%, dengan rincian 92% pada jarak 0,5 m, 50% pada 1 m, dan 33% pada 2 m. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu memberikan informasi keberadaan cdosen dan karyawan secara real-time, meskipun kinerja masih terbatas oleh kualitas kamera 2 MP, kondisi pencahayaan, dan jumlah dataset terbatas. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada implementasi monitoring keberadaan berbasis face recognition di lingkungan kampus serta menjadi dasar pengembangan lebih lanjut dengan kamera resolusi tinggi, metode deep learning, dan integrasi sistem absensi.

Komunikasi adalah cara menyampaikan informasi kepada orang lain. Dalam berkomunikasi, etika sangat penting, terutama bagi mahasiswa saat berinteraksi dengan dosen. Namun, terdapat beberapa mahasiswa saat ini yang menganggap dosen sebagai teman sebaya, sehingga penerapan etika yang seharusnya dilakukan kepada dosen semakin terabaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi antara mahasiswa FPMIPA UPI dan dosen, serta bagaimana etika bisa mencegah ketidakharmonisan komunikasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan kuesioner Google Form. Hasil dari penelitian ini 1) mengetahui waktu menghubungi dosen, 2) hambatan yang dirasakan mahasiswa, 3) mengetahui dampak setelah berkomunikasi dengan dosen. Sebagai kesimpulan, etika dalam berkomunikasi dengan dosen dapat mempererat hubungan serta membangun kepercayaan, yang akan mengurangi konflik.

This community service activity aims to provide insight and training to teachers and lecturers who are members of the Multimedia and Information Technology Professional Association (PPMULTINDO) regarding the use of the Quizizz application as a learning evaluation medium. The background of this activity is that there is a challenge for educators to continue to innovate in the digital era, but there are still obstacles in the form of a lack of introduction and insight into Quizizz, as well as the assumption that the development of technology-based evaluation media is complicated. This training was carried out online through the Zoom application with tutorial, guidance, and consultation methods. The results achieved are that the trainees gain basic understanding and skills in using Quizizz to support a more effective and interactive learning process. This activity is expected to motivate teachers and lecturers to develop technology-based evaluation media and contribute to the advancement of education in the future.

In the midst of the demand to actively publish scientific papers, the ability to design is a significant added value for teachers and lecturers. This report outlines a monograph book layout design training with Canva held for academics at PPMULTINDO. The main purpose of this activity is to provide practical skills so that participants can independently produce professional book layouts. This training uses an interactive workshop method, where participants are guided from the introduction of Canva's features, the application of design principles, to the practice of preparing layout chapters by chapter. As a result, participants demonstrated a significant improvement in their ability to operate Canva for publication design needs. They are able to produce a structured, consistent, and visually appealing layout. Thus, this training has succeeded in becoming a practical solution for academics to efficiently improve the visual quality of their monograph books

Lecturers are a key element in improving the quality of education in higher education. Effective assessment of lecturer performance is essential for evaluation and improvement of education quality. Instituito Profissional de Canossa (IPDC) evaluates lecturer performance through manual methods involving students, this process often produces inaccurate data and slows down decision making. For this reason, a decision support system is needed that can accommodate all the criteria needed in decision making using the promethee method to assess lecturer performance. Promethee was chosen in this research because of its ability to consider data characteristics and provide more accurate results. This DSS will consider three assessment criteria, including education, community service and research. The results of the DSS implementation with the Promethee method can provide recommendations for lecturer performance rankings that help the quality assurance team in identifying outstanding lecturers.

Transformasi digital di pendidikan tinggi menghadirkan peluang sekaligus tantangan bagi dosen dalam mengelola pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi motivasi dan ketahanan dosen dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan protokol PRISMA dan pendekatan PICOS, melalui seleksi 14 artikel ilmiah terindeks internasional. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dosen dipengaruhi oleh efikasi diri terhadap teknologi, otonomi pedagogis, dan dukungan institusional, sedangkan ketahanan terbentuk melalui kemampuan adaptif dan persepsi positif terhadap teknologi pembelajaran. Hubungan antara motivasi dan ketahanan bersifat timbal balik serta memperkuat kesiapan profesional dosen di era digital. Studi ini merekomendasikan penguatan kapasitas dosen melalui pelatihan berkelanjutan, kebijakan insentif, dan sistem mentoring agar mampu menjaga keberlanjutan pembelajaran digital yang inovatif dan tangguh. The Student Evaluation of Lecturers (EDOM) at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Dr. Soetomo has historically been conducted via Google Forms and processed manually, resulting in slow response times, repetitive recap procedures, and insufficiently documented reporting validity. This study aims to design, build, and evaluate a web-based EDOM system using the Prototype Model (MODEL PROTOTYPE) to improve data collection efficiency, recap accuracy, and the effectiveness of feedback for teaching quality assurance. The development method comprises requirements elicitation with the Quality Assurance Unit through a review of SPMI documents and brief interviews, architectural and interface design (Laravel, MVC pattern, and MySQL), staged prototyping, and rapid iterations based on stakeholder feedback until functional conformity is achieved. The resulting system provides authentication and role-based authorization (Admin, GPM, Lecturer, Student), odd/even period management, a question bank employing a Likert scale, anonymous questionnaire submission, score recap per lecturer and per category (pedagogical, professional, personal, social), dashboard visualizations, and report export to support governance needs. Functional evaluation was conducted through black-box testing on core scenarios (login, period scheduling, submission, recap, and export) and indicated conformance to specifications. User acceptance evaluation employed the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to examine perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude toward use, and behavioral intention; the results indicate positive acceptance and potential for operational adoption. Practically, the prototype approach accelerates requirement alignment, reduces the risk of mis-specification, and facilitates change control, while the Laravel-based implementation supports maintainability, role-based access security, and further feature development. The study is limited to a single faculty; future work may include SSO integration, audit trails, and longitudinal, cross-semester analytics for more comprehensive monitoring of lecturer performance.

Public literacy regarding health rights remains low, especially in communities with limited access to legal and health-related information. This lack of understanding often leads to unfulfilled rights and unequal access to quality healthcare services, contributing to a cycle of inequity and poor health outcomes. In response to this issue, this community service program seeks to enhance public awareness of health rights through interdisciplinary education, combining the expertise of lecturers from legal and health sciences. The program’s activities include the development of educational modules designed to provide clear, accessible information about health rights, as well as interactive legal-health counseling sessions aimed at addressing specific concerns. Group discussions serve as a platform for individuals to engage with experts and peers, furthering their understanding of how to navigate healthcare systems and advocate for their rights. Additionally, printed materials are distributed to reinforce learning and serve as ongoing references for participants. The program targets communities with high needs for health literacy, focusing on empowering individuals to recognize their rights and take action to ensure their healthcare needs are met. It also encourages the collaboration of interdisciplinary academic staff, fostering a collective approach to community empowerment. By improving health literacy, the program aims to promote social equity and improve access to quality healthcare services for underserved populations. Through this initiative, participants are better equipped to make informed decisions regarding their health and advocate for fair treatment in the healthcare system.

Higher education institutions play a strategic role in building a quality education ecosystem by strengthening the competency of human resources, particularly educators. As a higher education institution, Batang Hari Islamic University is required to ensure that its lecturers possess the skills to meet the ever-changing developments in science and technology, as well as the needs of society. To address these challenges, community service activities are being implemented to enhance the capacity of lecturers, enabling them to support the creation of a superior and competitive higher education ecosystem. These activities are implemented through various methods, such as workshops, training, and participatory mentoring. The primary focus is on improving digital literacy, mastery of innovative learning methods, scientific publication skills, and quality-based research and community service management. With this approach, lecturers not only gain new knowledge but also practical skills that can be directly applied in daily academic processes.
