Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is essential for infant growth and immunity during the first six months of life. Despite its benefits, many primiparous mothers face challenges in maintaining EBF due to lack of experience, stress, and insufficient support. Husband support has been identified as a crucial social factor that can influence a mother’s confidence and success in breastfeeding. This study aimed to examine the relationship between husband support and the success of exclusive breastfeeding among primiparous mothers in the Kalibaru Public Health Center area. A cross-sectional correlational design was employed, with 90 primiparous mothers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires measuring husband support, including emotional, informational, and instrumental dimensions, and exclusive breastfeeding practice, following the World Health Organization (WHO) definition. Descriptive statistics summarized participants’ demographic characteristics and levels of support, while inferential analysis using the Chi-square test and Pearson correlation determined the association between husband support and EBF success. The results indicated that higher levels of husband support were significantly associated with successful exclusive breastfeeding among primiparous mothers (p < 0.05). Among the types of support, emotional and informational support were particularly influential in enhancing maternal confidence and overcoming breastfeeding challenges. These findings suggest that encouraging husband involvement through prenatal education, counseling, and family-based interventions can improve EBF rates. In conclusion, husband support plays a vital role in the successful practice of exclusive breastfeeding among first-time mothers. Health programs should actively involve fathers to provide emotional, informational, and practical support, thereby promoting optimal breastfeeding outcomes and infant health in the community.

The position of children in marriage plays an important role in family law because it is related to the legal status and fulfillment of children's civil rights. Differences in regulations regarding legitimate children and children born out of wedlock in Indonesian positive law create legal uncertainty, particularly regarding civil relations with biological fathers. This study aims to analyze the legal status of legitimate children and illegitimate children and the changes in the legal paradigm following Constitutional Court Decision Number 46/PUU-VII/2010. This study uses normative legal methods with a statutory and conceptual approach. The results show that before the Constitutional Court decision, illegitimate children only had a civil relationship with their mother and their mother's family, whereas after the decision, illegitimate children can have a civil relationship with their biological father as long as the blood relationship can be legally proven. This decision confirms legal reform efforts to guarantee protection and legal certainty for children without discrimination based on birth status.

Losing a father, whether through death or divorce, is a significant life event that can impact adolescents' psychological well-being, one of which is feelings of loneliness. Fathers play a crucial role in a child's emotional and social development, and their absence can trigger feelings of isolation or a lack of social connection. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in levels of loneliness between male and female adolescents who have lost their fathers. This study used a quantitative approach with a comparative method. The subjects in this study were 152 adolescents, consisting of 96 female adolescents and 56 male adolescents who had lost their fathers. Data were collected using a loneliness scale structured according to aspects of loneliness. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis was an Independent Sample T-Test. The results of the data analysis showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.105 (p > 0.05). This indicates that the hypothesis stating differences in levels of loneliness is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there are no significant differences in loneliness experienced by male and female adolescents who have lost their fathers. Both gender groups showed relatively similar levels of loneliness in response to the loss of a father.   The results of the data analysis showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.105 (p > 0.05). This study discusses the judge’s considerations in granting child custody of a non-mumayyiz (underage) child to the biological father in the Religious Court Decision of Tanjung Karang Number: 1379/Pdt.G/2024/PA.Tnk. Generally, according to Islamic law and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), custody of a non-mumayyiz child is granted to the biological mother. However, in this case, the panel of judges decided to grant custody to the biological father. The purpose of this research is to identify the legal reasoning behind the judge’s decision and the legal implications of such a ruling. The study employs a normative juridical method with a descriptive-analytical approach, supported by primary data obtained through interviews and secondary data from legislation and legal literature. The results show that the judge’s consideration was based on the best interest of the child principle, as the mother had remarried a non-Muslim man and converted to another religion, which made her ineligible to be the custodian under Islamic law. The legal implication of this decision reinforces the authority of judges to interpret hadhanah provisions contextually, ensuring the protection of the child’s rights and supporting their growth in accordance with religious teachings and prevailing social norms.

Parents play a crucial role in introducing and shaping children’s gender identity from an early age. Gender identity is an essential aspect of psychological development that is closely related to the formation of behavior patterns, social attitudes, and personality development in later life. Within the family context, both fathers and mothers have complementary psychological roles in supporting children’s gender development. Mothers are generally more involved in daily caregiving and the fulfillment of children’s physical and emotional needs, while fathers tend to play a more prominent role in social interaction, play activities, and reinforcing discipline as well as adherence to prevailing cultural norms. Parenting practices, whether consciously or unconsciously applied, significantly influence how children understand gender roles, express themselves, and construct their personal identities. Therefore, appropriate, balanced, and developmentally sensitive gender identity introduction is essential to prevent role confusion and potential psychological difficulties in the future. This article aims to examine the role of parents in shaping children’s gender identity from a psychological perspective, emphasizing the importance of responsive, educative parenting that aligns with children’s developmental stages and cultural values.

Sexual harassment is a criminal act carried out by two people by force with the intention of satisfying lust or an act of revenge. Sexual harassment in the church community is an act that violates Christian teachings where it is carried out outside the basis of marriage. Sexual harassment is carried out by force between men and women outside the husband and wife couple, namely between parents and children or between father and child. The Church has an important role in this. The Church seeks to heal, support, treat, and even accompany victims of sexual abuse through pastoral actions. Sexuality is no longer something taboo to talk about, therefore it is important for the church, government, and even families to discuss sexuality from an early age as an effort to prevent criminal acts or sexual violence. Society must have a sense of empathy and sympathy for victims of sexual violence, as an effort to heal and accept the reality experienced by victims. The church must really act in a real way in spiritual and psychological and social healing of victims.

This article examines the theological thought of Saint Cyprian of Carthage, one of the third-century Church Fathers, within the context of the Church’s situation in his time, which was marked by profound struggles of faith, particularly the experience of persecution. The focus of the discussion is directed toward the historical and pastoral conditions that shaped Cyprian’s views on the unity of the Church, episcopal authority, and the validity of the sacrament of baptism. Accordingly, this article raises several key questions: What historical background formed Cyprian’s thinking on these three concepts? What were the central ideas he developed regarding ecclesial unity, episcopal authority, and baptism? And how are his ideas relevant to the Church’s teaching, especially in light of the Second Vatican Council? Using a historical and hermeneutical approach, this article traces Cyprian’s life background as well as his pastoral-theological responses to the concrete situations faced by Christians in his time. In the context of the post-persecution crisis, Cyprian played a significant role in addressing internal divisions within the Church, particularly debates concerning the readmission of the lapsi (those who had apostatized). From these struggles, it becomes evident how Cyprian firmly articulated the role of bishops as successors of the apostles and emphasized the sacrament of baptism as the legitimate gateway into ecclesial communion. Based on the historical background of Cyprian’s thought and these three central themes, the article then examines the contribution of Cyprian’s theology to the teachings of the Church as formulated in the Second Vatican Council. Thus, Cyprian’s thought is understood not only as a foundation of early ecclesiology, but also as a living source of faith reflection that remains relevant for the contemporary Church in responding to the dynamics and challenges of the modern age Keywords: Cyprian of Carthage, ecclesiology, unity of the Church, episcopal authority, sacrament of baptism, Second Vatican Council.

This study aims to explore and deepen the understanding of the doctrine of the Holy Trinity through the approach of Hindu–Christian meditative dialogue. The doctrine of the Holy Trinity constitutes the central foundation of the Christian faith, understood as the unity and equality of the essence of the one God in three persons, namely the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. However, explanations and interpretations of the Trinitarian doctrine are often regarded as complex and difficult to comprehend, not only by the general public but also by many Christians, particularly lay believers. Therefore, an alternative approach that is more communicative and contextual is needed so that this doctrine can be understood in a simpler and more reflective manner. One approach proposed in this study is the concept of Hindu–Christian meditative dialogue, which emphasizes the contemplative dimension and inner spiritual experience as means of theological understanding. This study employs a qualitative method using a literature-based approach, drawing on theological documents, books, scholarly journals, and other relevant literature as the primary data sources. The collected data and information are then systematically analyzed and elaborated to formulate a more accessible conceptual understanding of the doctrine of the Holy Trinity through Hindu–Christian meditative dialogue. The findings indicate that Hindu–Christian meditative dialogue can serve as an effective medium for explaining and understanding the doctrine of the Holy Trinity in a clearer, deeper, and more contextual manner.

Social emotional development in early childhood is an important foundation for children's psychological and social functioning in later stages of development. This process is greatly influenced by the quality of interactions within the family environment, including the level and quality of the father's involvement in parenting. Although various studies show that fathers play a significant role in shaping children's emotional regulation, independence, and social competence, studies that systematically integrate the role of fathers within the framework of psychosocial and sociocultural development theory are still relatively limited. This study aims to critically analyze the role of fathers in shaping the emotions and socialization of early childhood based on the perspectives of Erik Erikson's psychosocial development theory and Lev Vygotsky's sociocultural theory. This study uses a qualitative approach with a Literature Study Review (LSR) method of reputable national and international journal articles, academic books, and scientific proceedings published in the period 2020–2025. The data were analyzed through thematic synthesis and conceptual analysis. The results of the study show that consistent, responsive, and supportive father involvement contributes significantly to the development of emotional regulation, self-confidence, social initiative, and adaptive social interaction skills in children. These findings confirm the relevance of Erikson and Vygotsky's theories and provide theoretical and practical implications for the development of family parenting patterns and early childhood education policies that encourage optimal father involvement.

Unregistered marriage (nikah siri) in Indonesia refers to marriages conducted in accordance with Islamic religious law but not officially recorded by the state. This legal gap creates significant challenges, particularly concerning the legal status of wives, children, and marital property. This study employs a normative juridical research methodology to examine the legal consequences of unregistered marriages on the positions of wives, children, and property, as well as to analyze the forms of legal protection available for children born from such marriages. The findings reveal that wives in unregistered marriages lack legal protection comparable to those in registered marriages, including rights to marital property, alimony, and inheritance. Children born from these unions initially possess legal relationships only with their mothers and maternal families. However, Constitutional Court Decision No. 46/PUU-VIII/2010 established a legal pathway for children to establish civil relationships with their biological fathers through scientific evidence such as DNA testing. Despite this judicial development, practical implementation faces considerable obstacles including evidentiary difficulties, social stigma, and limited access to legal remedies. This research concludes that active state intervention and institutional support remain essential to safeguard children's fundamental rights, including identity, inheritance, and protection from legal and social discrimination.

The purpose of this research is to find out the legal basis in the science of hadith or Islamic law and positive law related to DNA testing which is used as a strong argument for determining the legal certainty of child lineage and how to resolve the problem of child lineage in Indonesia and Islam. In the research process used is normative research and library research with a legislative approach taken from positive law and Islamic legal sources, namely the Qur'an and the hadith approach as a basis for legal theory. The resulting research study that DNA testing can resolve the uncertainty of abak lineage and DNA test results can be used as proof of determining a child's lineage to his father. In the teachings or regulations of Islamic law, there are four methods used in determining lineage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the application of the four methods, namely; al-firasy, al-iqrar, al-bayyinah, and al-Qiyafah. With the development of today's technology, the four methods have been developed through cutting-edge technology as a medium for tracing a person's lineage to obtain justice and benefit. From a positive Indonesian legal perspective, DNA testing has been recognized as a means of proving parentage. Therefore, children born as victims of rape, marriages not officially registered by the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), and marriages that took place secretly (in other words, under the table) can claim their rights as children, including child support and parentage, from their father.

This study aims to explore Christology in the Gospel of John, specifically the identity of Jesus as the pre-existent Word (Logos), His incarnation, the claim to divinity through the statement "ego eimi," unity with the Father, and its relevance for the early church and the contemporary church. The method used is a qualitative approach through literature study, with the primary source being the Gospel of John (especially John 1:1-18 and the statement "ego eimi"), supported by commentaries, theological journals, and the works of scholars such as Culpepper, Bauckham, and Dunn, analyzed in historical and theological contexts. The results show that John presents an explicit high Christology, depicting Jesus as the true God who became man, with theological essences such as the basis of worship, the certainty of salvation, and the resilience of faith for the congregation facing exclusion and polemics, while also being relevant for the foundation of faith, pastoral comfort, and missionary motivation in the current era of pluralism.

Parents act as early educators entrusted with guiding, nurturing, and caring for their children. Their influence is crucial from the outset, as they substantially shape their children's character and disposition. The way parents parent their children can significantly enhance their overall development, as their methods significantly influence their children's social and emotional maturity. To foster healthy maturation and ensure their children's social integration, parents need to thoroughly understand the intricacies of their children's social and emotional development. Parents are the first teachers responsible for teaching, nurturing, and raising their children. Parental involvement is crucial. This study aims to examine the significance of parenting strategies employed by mothers and fathers and the extent to which these strategies shape their children's social and emotional development. The results of this study identified three distinct categories of parenting tactics commonly employed by mothers and fathers in raising their children: indulgent, dictatorial, and collaborative. Each of these parenting approaches exerts a unique influence on children's social and emotional maturation. The main difference lies in the observation that dictatorial and indulgent parenting approaches typically produce less beneficial results than collaborative parenting approaches, which typically produce more beneficial results. Therefore, it is recommended that mothers and fathers adopt a collaborative parenting approach when raising their children.

Schizophrenia is a complex psychiatric disorder that disrupts cognition, emotion, perception, and behavior, significantly affecting daily functioning and social interaction. Paranoid schizophrenia, a well-recognized subtype, is characterized by persistent paranoid delusions, frequently accompanied by hallucinations—most commonly auditory—and other perceptual disturbances, often leading to unpredictable or aggressive behaviors. A 34-year-old male patient, Mr. A, was brought to Cut Meutia General Hospital on February 9, 2024, by his father and the village chief due to episodes of aggression. The patient reported that his behavior occurred because a creature was controlling his body and disturbing him. His family indicated that he had experienced similar episodes in the past and had previously been hospitalized for the same condition. Based on established clinical guidelines, he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Pharmacological management was initiated, including risperidone, clozapine, lodemer injection, diazepam injection, divalproex, and trihexyphenidyl, targeting psychotic symptoms, agitation, and behavioral disturbances, with the aim of stabilizing his mental state, preventing further aggressive episodes, and supporting overall functional recovery.

This study examines the legal protection of children born from Toba Batak customary marriages that are not officially registered by the state. In Toba Batak customary law, a marriage is considered valid after all traditional ceremonies have been carried out, so that the child is recognized by the father's clan and social status within the customary community. However, state law requires marriage registration to ensure the certainty of the parents' legal status and the fulfillment of the child's civil rights. The absence of marriage registration has legal consequences in the form of limited recognition of the civil relationship between the child and the father, which impacts identity registration, access to public administration services, and the fulfillment of inheritance rights. This study uses a normative juridical method with analytical descriptive specifications through a review of laws and regulations, legal literature, and court decisions. The results show that preventive legal protection is realized through marriage registration to guarantee the child's right to identity. Meanwhile, repressive legal protection can be achieved through court decisions supported by valid evidence to confirm the child's legal status and ensure the fulfillment of their basic rights.
