Employee work discipline is one of the important aspects of human resource management, especially in service companies that heavily rely on their employees' performance. PT CAI, as an event organizer company, still faces issues related to employee work discipline, such as tardiness, absenteeism without notice, and low consistency in completing work responsibilities. This activity is a form of Community Service by students aimed at increasing employees' understanding and awareness of the importance of work discipline through educational and practical approaches. The implementation methods of the activity include observation, interviews, discussions, documentation, and the implementation of an educational program in the form of work discipline posters as well as providing recommendations for a simple reward and punishment system. The results of the activity show that internal educational media serve as an effective visual reminder in increasing employee awareness of punctuality and work responsibility. This community service activity is expected to support the improvement of employee performance, service quality, and the operational sustainability of PT CAI.

Natural fiber based composite materials are increasingly being developed as an environmentally friendly alternative to synthetic fiber-based composites. This study aims to characterize the thermal and mechanical properties of natural fiber composite materials and evaluate their potential use as sustainable materials. Composites are made using natural fibers as reinforcement and a polymer matrix through a specific molding method. Mechanical property characterization includes tensile tests, flexural tests, and impact tests, while thermal property characterization is carried out using thermal analysis to determine the thermal stability of the material. The test results show that the addition of natural fibers has a significant effect on improving the mechanical properties of the composite, especially tensile strength and elastic modulus, compared to the unreinforced matrix. In addition, natural fiber composites show quite good thermal stability over a certain temperature range, making them suitable for non-structural applications. Based on these results, natural fiber composite materials have the potential to be developed as environmentally friendly materials that have competitive mechanical and thermal performance.

Traditional snack micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia face increasing market competition and rapidly changing consumer preferences, particularly among younger consumers seeking innovative and symbolic food experiences. This community engagement study aims to strengthen the profitability and sustainability of traditional snack MSMEs by integrating local flavor innovation with simple business governance practices. Using a participatory action research approach under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program in Palangka Raya, this study involved co-creation between students and local entrepreneurs in product development, production standardization, and basic financial management. Qualitative data were collected through participatory observation and stakeholder discussions, while quantitative data were obtained from sales records and simple financial reports. The results demonstrate that local flavor-based innovation, combined with standardized operating procedures and cost control mechanisms, improved product differentiation, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The intervention generated a positive net profit and strengthened the partner’s capacity for independent business management. This study contributes to the literature by positioning traditional food MSMEs as sites of cultural innovation and micro-governance, while supporting Sustainable Development Goals related to inclusive economic growth, cultural preservation, and responsible production.

Local coffee micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Karang Sidemen Village, Central Lombok Regency, have significant development potential; however, they still face challenges related to marketing practices and limited value addition. Conventional marketing systems restrict market reach and reduce product competitiveness. In the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0, digital marketing offers a strategic opportunity for MSMEs to enhance product promotion and sales performance. This community service program aimed to strengthen the capacity of local coffee MSMEs through the implementation of social media–based digital marketing strategies. A participatory approach was employed, actively involving MSME actors and students through stages of problem identification, program planning, training and hands-on digital marketing practices, and evaluation. The results demonstrated an improvement in participants’ understanding and skills in utilizing social media as a promotional tool, as reflected by the initiative to develop and publish promotional video content for local coffee products, including the flagship Versilia coffee variant. The use of visual content and storytelling facilitated the practical adoption of digital marketing strategies. Overall, this program contributed to shifting marketing behavior from conventional to digital approaches and strengthening the sustainable competitiveness of local coffee MSMEs.

This study aims to analyze the transformation of promotional strategies among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Suka Makmur Village after utilizing Google Maps as a digital marketing platform. The research focuses on identifying changes in promotional approaches, MSME owners’ perceptions of the effectiveness of Google Maps, and its impact on business visibility and sales performance. The study employed a participatory approach through the Community Service Program (KKN), consisting of several stages, including surveys, socialization, training, and direct mentoring. The research subjects comprised three MSMEs: Seblak Prasmanan, Warung Kopi, and Rumah Jajan By Nisa. The findings indicate that, prior to the intervention, promotional activities were predominantly traditional and limited in reach. After adopting Google Maps, the businesses became more easily discoverable, received positive reviews, and successfully reached customers beyond the local area. According to data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs in 2024, Indonesia has more than 60 million SMEs, which are very important to its economy, contributing 60% to the national GDP. However, around 77.5% of SMEs do not keep financial records, while 22.5% have some form of financial reporting that is often inconsistent and poorly documented. Many entrepreneurs do not realize the importance of financial reports, instead focusing on business growth and sales. Lack of financial literacy leads to poor decision-making and operational transparency. Quality financial reports can facilitate access to capital and serve as an indicator of business success. Programs aimed at improving financial literacy and the importance of financial reporting have shown a positive impact on SME performance. The training program for Dapur Umi Ila SMEs in Bojongkerta aims to empower participants through education on financial management, emphasizing the importance of maintaining accurate financial records for proper decision-making and sustainable business growth. By creating financial reports, Dapur Umi Ila SMEs are expected to be more concerned about operational finances so that they can learn to make decisions based on relevant and reliable financial reports..
