Low levels of maternal knowledge and appropriate nutritional practices, combined with limited continuity of nutrition education from health workers, remain significant risk factors for maternal and child health problems, including stunting. The GEMPITA Program (Gerakan Edukasi MPASI Tepat dan Aman / Safe and Appropriate Complementary Feeding Education Movement) was implemented as a community service initiative to improve nutritional knowledge, skills, and practices among families in the working area of Teratak Public Health Center. The program employed structured methods, including socialization, education, training, demonstrations, mentoring, and non-formal monitoring and evaluation. The target participants were mothers with children aged 6–24 months, as well as health workers and community health cadres. Program effectiveness was assessed using pretest posttest measurements and direct observation of behavioral changes. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in maternal knowledge regarding appropriate complementary feeding, enhanced skills in age-appropriate food preparation, and improved hygienic and nutritious feeding practices. In addition, the capacity of health workers to deliver nutrition education was strengthened. Overall, the GEMPITA Program proved effective in improving family nutrition practices and reinforcing the role of the public health center in stunting prevention through a sustainable community empowerment approach.

Pregnancy is the intrauterine growth and development of the fetus starting from conception and ending until the start of labor. Mothers' low knowledge about balanced nutrition during pregnancy, infants and toddlers causes incorrect feeding and affects nutritional status. This activity aims to increase mothers' knowledge about balanced nutrition for pregnant women, babies and toddlers and increase mothers' motivation. Achieving this goal is carried out through examining the nutritional status of pregnant women and providing nutritional education using lecture and question and answer methods. The implementation of this activity is planned in 3 stages, namely: preparation stage, implementation and evaluation stage. After counseling and inspection activities, monitoring or evaluation is carried out. After this service activity is carried out, it is hoped that mothers will have strong motivation to fulfill nutritional requirements for toddlers and improve mothers' attitudes and actions in providing balanced nutrition to toddlers. This activity can make a positive contribution in reducing nutritional problems in the Mangarobombang Community Health Center Working Area, Takalar Regency. After this service activity is carried out, it is hoped that mothers will have strong motivation to fulfill the nutrition of pregnant women and improve their attitudes and actions in consuming healthy and nutritionally balanced food. This activity can make a positive contribution in reducing nutritional problems.

When you are pregnant, most nutritional needs will increase. It is important for pregnant women to ensure that the food they consume is balanced. The aim of this community service program is to increase pregnant women's understanding of nutrition during pregnancy. This activity was carried out on May 7 2022 through counseling using leaflets to pregnant women before and after the counseling. This counseling was carried out in Kassi - Kassi, attended by 10 pregnant women who implemented the Covid-19 Health Protocol. The results of the counseling showed an increase in understanding of 50%. Before the counseling, only 3 pregnant women (30%) had good understanding, but after this activity, the number increased to 8 pregnant women (80%) who had good understanding. We hope that in future counseling, there will be more focus on nutrition during the first, second and third trimesters of pregnant women.
