This study aims to improve digital money literacy among the community of Kineppen Village, Munte District, Karo Regency, through education and the implementation of the QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) payment system. The research utilized a descriptive qualitative approach, incorporating field observations, interviews, and direct mentoring with four local businesses: Ayam Penyet Pak Lek, Warkop Aim Tigander, Oke Laundry Kineppen, and Pangkas Singarimbun. The findings show that two businesses, Ayam Penyet Pak Lek and Pangkas Singarimbun, successfully adopted QRIS, leading to smoother transactions and increased customer trust. However, the other two businesses, Warkop Aim Tigander and Oke Laundry Kineppen, still face challenges in adopting the system due to limited internet access and deep-rooted traditional cash payment habits. Despite these barriers, the program significantly enhanced the digital literacy of local entrepreneurs, raising their awareness and readiness to participate in the village’s digital economy. Waste-related issues have become increasingly complex environmental challenges as a result of population growth and shifting consumption patterns within society. Although Indonesia has established a legal framework through Law Number 18 of 2008 on Waste Management, its implementation at the community level continues to encounter various obstacles, particularly low legal awareness and an underdeveloped legal culture. This community service program aims to foster and strengthen a legal culture in waste management as an effort to promote environmental sustainability in Mrutuk Village, Widang District, Tuban Regency. The activities were conducted using participatory and descriptive approaches, including legal education, dissemination of waste management regulations, reinforcement of legal substance and enforcement structures, and community-based assistance. The results demonstrate an improvement in public understanding and awareness of the importance of managing waste in accordance with legal provisions, a shift in attitudes from compliance motivated by supervision toward voluntary compliance, and the emergence of community initiatives to actively engage in environmentally oriented waste management. Therefore, strengthening legal culture has proven to be a crucial instrument in encouraging environmentally responsible behavior and supporting the achievement of sustainable development.

Plastic waste management in rural areas, particularly in tourism villages, remains an environmental challenge that requires sustainable solutions. Negeri Tongging Village, as a tourism area around Lake Toba, has experienced an increase in household plastic waste that has not been managed optimally, potentially affecting environmental quality and community well-being. This community service activity aimed to enhance community awareness and capacity in plastic waste management through the implementation of a circular economy approach based on a waste exchange program and ecobrick production. A participatory approach was employed by actively involving the community in all stages of the activity, including socialization, program implementation, and evaluation. The program was carried out during the 2025 Community Service Program of Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara, consisting of circular economy socialization, collection of plastic waste through an exchange scheme with basic necessities, training on ecobrick production, and the provision of supporting facilities for environmental cleanliness. The results indicate an increase in community participation and environmental awareness, a reduction in improperly disposed plastic waste, and an improvement in community skills in processing plastic waste into useful products. In addition, the activity strengthened mutual cooperation and environmental responsibility among community members. In conclusion, the application of a circular economy approach through ecobrick-based activities can serve as an effective alternative solution for plastic waste management while simultaneously supporting sustainable community empowerment in rural tourism areas.

The rupiah plays a vital role as a symbol of national identity and sovereignty, but awareness among rural communities about its function and importance is often limited. In Kutalimbaru Village, the main challenges identified are low monetary literacy, which results in physical damage to money and a lack of awareness about counterfeit money. Through the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program, community service efforts were carried out with the aim of internalizing the values of “Love, Pride, Understanding (CBP) of the Rupiah.” The approach used was community-based education through interactive workshops and practical demonstrations on money care techniques and an introduction to the security features of the Rupiah. Findings in the field show a transformation in the community's attitude; from being indifferent to being more careful in handling paper money and better understanding the role of the Rupiah in economic stability. This program has succeeded in increasing the financial literacy of citizens while strengthening the spirit of nationalism through appreciation of the national currency. This community service program was conducted by Group 7 of KKN ITB Ahmad Dahlan Lamongan in Bapuhbandung Village, Glagah District, Lamongan Regency, aiming to address environmental and public health issues through the utilization of ecobricks and the cultivation of family medicinal plants (TOGA). The main problems identified were low awareness of plastic waste management and the underutilization of home yards for medicinal plants. The program applied a participatory assistance method involving students, parents, youth, and village officials throughout the stages of observation, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that more than 300 ecobricks were produced and assembled into an installation forming the word “BAPUHBANDUNG,” which now serves as a new village icon. In addition, medicinal plants such as ginger, turmeric, and lemongrass were planted around the installation area and residents’ yards. The evaluation indicated high community participation, good-quality ecobricks, and positive initial growth of TOGA. This program not only produced physical outputs but also increased community awareness of plastic waste management, family health independence, and the strengthening of village identity.

Employee work discipline is one of the important aspects of human resource management, especially in service companies that heavily rely on their employees' performance. PT CAI, as an event organizer company, still faces issues related to employee work discipline, such as tardiness, absenteeism without notice, and low consistency in completing work responsibilities. This activity is a form of Community Service by students aimed at increasing employees' understanding and awareness of the importance of work discipline through educational and practical approaches. The implementation methods of the activity include observation, interviews, discussions, documentation, and the implementation of an educational program in the form of work discipline posters as well as providing recommendations for a simple reward and punishment system. The results of the activity show that internal educational media serve as an effective visual reminder in increasing employee awareness of punctuality and work responsibility. This community service activity is expected to support the improvement of employee performance, service quality, and the operational sustainability of PT CAI.

Hyperglycemia is a condition of elevated blood sugar levels that can potentially lead to various health complications if not controlled early. This condition is often influenced by unhealthy eating habits, lack of physical activity, and low awareness among adolescents regarding regular blood sugar checks. Adolescents are an age group that is vulnerable to lifestyle changes, putting them at risk of developing metabolic disorders later in life. This community service activity aims to increase adolescent knowledge and awareness regarding the dangers of hyperglycemia and the importance of preventive measures from school age. The activity was carried out at SMK Nurul Ulum Lebaksiu, involving 59 students as participants. The methods used included health education through audio-visual media, interactive lectures, discussions, and Random Blood Sugar (GDS) tests for early detection. The results of the activity showed an increase in student knowledge based on a comparison of pre-test and post-test scores, as well as the implementation of GDS tests on all participants. This activity is expected to foster healthy lifestyle behaviors and increase adolescent awareness of the prevention of non-communicable diseases.

The community service program in Dusun Bendrong aimed to foster environmental awareness through the planting of timber and fruit seedlings as a response to declining forest quality and reduced water availability caused by vegetation loss. This program sought to enhance community participation in forest conservation while strengthening local wisdom related to environmental stewardship. The activity was conducted in three stages: pre-activity observation and coordination with the Village Head and community leaders, joint planting of 14 seedlings by Student Community Service (KKM) participants and local residents, and monitoring and evaluation to assess implementation and participant understanding. The results showed that all seedlings were successfully planted, with high levels of participation from both students and community members. The activity increased awareness of forest conservation and highlighted the importance of collective action in maintaining environmental sustainability. Timber trees contributed to forest restoration, improved water absorption, and reduced erosion risk, while fruit trees provided additional economic and social benefits for the community. Overall, this participatory approach proved effective as a sustainable model for community service programs that integrate environmental conservation and community empowerment.

Financial literacy is a fundamental competency that should be developed from an early age to foster prudent financial behavior in the future. However, the level of financial literacy among elementary school students remains relatively low, particularly in rural areas. The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) serves as a strategic platform for providing financial education to the community, including elementary school students. This study aims to describe the implementation of a basic financial literacy program for students of SD 050430 Bunuraya Village through the KKN program and to analyze its impact on students’ understanding of financial concepts. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the financial literacy program delivered through interactive learning media effectively improves students’ understanding of basic concepts such as saving, distinguishing between needs and wants, and simple management of pocket money. The program is expected to serve as an initial step in building early financial awareness and encouraging the involvement of schools and families in children’s financial education.

This community engagement program addresses the limited digital marketing utilization of Be Bloomy Bouquets, a creative knitting business, within the MBKM Entrepreneurship framework. The program aims to design and implement adaptive digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, competitiveness, and business sustainability. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the program was conducted from October to November 2025 through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results indicate that digital marketing assistance via Instagram and TikTok significantly increased audience reach, customer interaction, and brand awareness, while marketplace utilization still requires further optimization. The discussion highlights that integrating handmade product creativity, digital branding strategies, and participatory reflection fosters entrepreneurial behavior change and strengthens local leadership capacity. In conclusion, the program generates not only technical improvements in marketing performance but also social transformation through enhanced digital literacy, independence, and local leadership. Future recommendations emphasize content consistency, production management, and sustainable digital marketing strategies.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of programs strengthening financial literacy, economic digitalization, and the creative economy carried out by students participating in the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) in Nagori Marihat Bukit. The programs included education on the Indonesian rupiah and the importance of saving habits, socialization of the QRIS digital payment system, a workshop on striphone production to support MSME development, and an ecoprint workshop for elementary school students. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through participatory observation and documentation. The results indicate that the programs successfully enhanced community understanding of financial literacy from an early age, increased the adoption of digital payment technology with 68% of participants successfully implementing QRIS, and improved creative economy skills that support the development of local MSMEs. These activities demonstrate that community-based economic education can effectively strengthen financial awareness, promote digital financial inclusion, and sustainably develop the creative economic potential of the community. Therefore, this KKN program can serve as a practical model of community-based economic empowerment in fostering economically independent communities.

The Barokah Lumintu Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Siwarak Village has great potential in processing pineapple as the village's leading commodity. However, the processing activities carried out are still simple, not yet standardized, and not yet oriented towards production continuity and market needs. This community service activity aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit of KWT members and increase the capacity and continuity of pineapple processing products through the application of appropriate technology. The implementation methods include entrepreneurship training, technical training in pineapple processing, assistance in the application of appropriate technology, and strengthening of production and marketing management. The results of the activities show an increase in the knowledge and skills of KWT members in pineapple processing, an increase in production process efficiency, and the growth of a more market-oriented entrepreneurial awareness. This program is expected to encourage the sustainability of the pineapple processing business and increase the economic independence of the members of KWT Barokah Lumintu.

This community service activity aims to improve the First Aid Awareness of students at SMAN 5 Tegal through health education and first aid simulation for accident management. The background of this program is based on the high potential for mild to moderate emergency incidents in the school environment, such as fainting, open wounds, nosebleeds, choking, and seizures, as well as the limited knowledge and practical skills of students in providing appropriate initial assistance. The implementation method consisted of three stages: preparation, delivery of health education using presentations and demonstrations, and hands-on simulation, followed by evaluation through knowledge assessment and skills observation. The participants were 54 students representing three grade levels. The expected outcomes of this activity include an improvement in students’ conceptual understanding and practical ability to perform first aid quickly, correctly, and safely before professional medical help arrives. In addition, this program is expected to foster emergency responsiveness, increase students’ confidence in handling accident situations at school, and contribute to the development of a safer and more prepared school environment. The outputs of this activity include increased knowledge and skill scores, documented implementation, and publication of a community service article in a SINTA-indexed journal.

Public legal awareness is an important element in realizing an orderly, just, and law-based social life, as it enables citizens to understand and properly carry out their rights and obligations. In Mekarjaya Village, Gantar District, Indramayu Regency, a low level of public understanding of the hierarchy of laws and regulations is still evident, which has the potential to cause errors in the application of law within families and communities. This condition indicates the need for systematic, contextual, and easily understood legal socialization. This Community Service Program aims to improve the understanding of members of the Paguyuban Istri Peduli regarding the hierarchy of laws and regulations, while strengthening their role as agents for disseminating legal information within the surrounding community. The method employed is descriptive qualitative with a participatory approach through the delivery of materials, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and joint reflection. Data were collected through direct observation, oral question-and-answer sessions, and participant feedback forms. The results show an increase in participants’ understanding, high levels of participation in discussions, and the ability to relate legal concepts to real conditions. These findings confirm that participatory-based legal socialization is effective in enhancing public legal awareness and encouraging active community involvement at the local level.

The development of Islamic finance in Indonesia shown significant growth as alternative financial system based Islamic principles. Data from Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) shows the number of Hajj savings accounts reached 5.5 million accounts as of November 2024 and increased to 6.33 million in July 2025. This growth reflects the high level of public enthusiasm in preparing for Hajj funds early on through Islamic financial institutions. In various regions of South Sumatra, BSI has become one of the institutions widely used by the public to open Hajj savings accounts due to its service network and ease of access. The village of Pagar Banyu has great potential for increasing the use of Sharia-based Hajj savings, particularly through the dissemination of information about BSI products. Through appropriate outreach activities, the public can understand wadiah contracts, the benefits of hajj savings, and the process of opening an account and registering for a hajj quota. In this context, Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) plays an important role as it is one of the largest Islamic banks. The target audience for this outreach activity is the general public in Pagar Banyu Village, Pagaralam City, South Sumatra Province. This study aims to improve Islamic financial literacy among people Pagar Banyu Village, particularly regarding Hajj savings at BSI, by providing practical understanding of how to open a Hajj savings account, requirements, procedures, and benefits, and encouraging community to start planning for pilgrimage by saving gradually and building awareness of importance of managing finances in accordance with Islamic principles.

Parental mental health plays a critical role in fostering healthy parenting practices, particularly during early childhood. Nevertheless, many parents, including homemakers and working mothers, continue to demonstrate limited awareness of the importance of maintaining psychological well-being in the parenting process. This community service initiative aimed to enhance parents’ mental health literacy and raise awareness of its implications for parenting practices. The program employed a mental health education and outreach approach, incorporating structured presentations, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and the provision of practical coping strategies applicable to daily life. The activity was implemented among parents of kindergarten pupils. The findings indicated a notable improvement in participants’ understanding of parental mental health, increased awareness of stress management in parenting contexts, and an enhanced capacity to apply simple strategies to maintain emotional regulation. Moreover, participants demonstrated active engagement and positive responses throughout the programme. This initiative contributes to strengthening parental mental health awareness as a preventive measure to support healthier and more adaptive parenting practices within the family setting.

This community service program aims to improve public literacy and awareness of the Islamic capital market through socialization and educational activities in Telaga Jernih Village, Secanggang District. Islamic financial literacy in rural areas remains relatively low due to limited access to information and education, leading people to prefer traditional investments such as livestock and plantations. The activity was carried out by the Community Service Program (KKN) team in collaboration with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) as the main speaker and the village government as a supporting partner. The methods used included observation, counseling, interactive discussions, and simple simulations of Islamic investment practices. The results revealed high enthusiasm among participants, reflected in their active engagement and significant improvement in understanding the concepts, principles, and products of Islamic investment. The community began to realize that Islamic capital market investments are not only halal and safe but also offer long-term economic benefits. This activity positively influenced the community’s mindset to view Islamic financial investment as a complementary form of traditional investment. The program also opened opportunities for forming a village-based Islamic investor community and establishing a financial literacy center as a follow-up initiative. Therefore, this program plays a vital role in strengthening Islamic financial inclusion in rural areas and serves as an initial step toward creating a financially literate, independent, and economically productive society.

The digitalization of the creative economy has opened up significant opportunities for the community to create innovative products that have high sales value and are environmentally friendly. One interesting innovation is the use of used cooking oil as a raw material for making aromatherapy candles. Used cooking oil, which is usually discarded and pollutes the environment, can be reprocessed into products with economic value, thus supporting the principles of a circular economy. This study aims to examine the potential of processing used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles, analyze digital-based marketing strategies to increase product competitiveness in the market, and examine the meaning of transforming waste into innovative products from the perspective of Immanuel Kant's philosophy of reality. The research methods used were literature studies and field observations of used cooking oil processing practices by the community. The results show that used cooking oil-based aromatherapy candles have good business prospects, especially when combined with digital promotion through social media and marketplaces. Digitalization helps expand marketing reach, create brand identity, and attract consumers who care about environmental sustainability. From the perspective of Immanuel Kant's philosophy of reality, the transformation of used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles can be understood as a phenomenon, namely a reality that is visible in the practice of the digital creative economy. Meanwhile, the values ​​of sustainability, ethical awareness, and social meaning contained therein reflect noumena, namely the deepest reality that is not directly visible but provides direction and meaning for human actions.

The increasing proportion of the elderly population in Indonesia has led to a rise in degenerative health problems, one of which is osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a bone disease characterized by decreased bone density, increasing the risk of fractures, particularly among elderly women. Low calcium intake, lack of physical activity, and limited knowledge regarding osteoporosis prevention are major contributing factors. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge of Aisyiyah women in Cirebon Regency regarding osteoporosis in the elderly, including its definition, risk factors, impacts, and prevention strategies through proper nutrition and regular physical activity. The activity was conducted from October to December at the Aisyiyah Study Hall in Cirebon Regency, targeting pre-elderly and elderly women. The methods used included health education through lectures and interactive question-and-answer sessions, supported by laptops, LCD projectors, and PowerPoint presentations. Evaluation of participants’ knowledge was carried out using oral pre-tests and post-tests related to the delivered material. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of osteoporosis, the importance of adequate calcium intake, and the role of physical activity in maintaining bone health. This community service program is expected to contribute to increasing health awareness and reducing the risk and prevalence of osteoporosis among the elderly.

Introduction: Triglycerides are a lipids fractions that play an important role in energy metabolism, but high levels in the blood are strongly associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes. The prevalence of hypertriglyceridemia tends to increase, including in urban area such us West Jakarta which have high risk consumption patterns. This community service activity aimed to raise public awareness about the importance  lipid profile management with screen triglyceride levels in community of Kelurahan Kota Bambu. Method: The activity was conducted in June 2025, involving 168 adult participants. The method was used was health education on the role of triglycerides and their risk,, followed by laboratory testing using the Nesco BL-101 5in1 Lipid Panel Monitoring System. Triglyceride level was classified into normal, borderline, high, and very high categories according to the NCEP ATP III guidelines. Results: The average triglyceride level of the participants was 181.21 mg/dL, with a range of 47–830 mg/dL. The triglyceride levels of the majority of participants were in the normal category, but the proportion with high and very high triglyceride levels was significant, indicating the existence of a risk group that needs attention.
