This study aims to analyze the implementation of programs strengthening financial literacy, economic digitalization, and the creative economy carried out by students participating in the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) in Nagori Marihat Bukit. The programs included education on the Indonesian rupiah and the importance of saving habits, socialization of the QRIS digital payment system, a workshop on striphone production to support MSME development, and an ecoprint workshop for elementary school students. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through participatory observation and documentation. The results indicate that the programs successfully enhanced community understanding of financial literacy from an early age, increased the adoption of digital payment technology with 68% of participants successfully implementing QRIS, and improved creative economy skills that support the development of local MSMEs. These activities demonstrate that community-based economic education can effectively strengthen financial awareness, promote digital financial inclusion, and sustainably develop the creative economic potential of the community. Therefore, this KKN program can serve as a practical model of community-based economic empowerment in fostering economically independent communities.

Financial literacy is a fundamental competency that should be developed from an early age to foster prudent financial behavior in the future. However, the level of financial literacy among elementary school students remains relatively low, particularly in rural areas. The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) serves as a strategic platform for providing financial education to the community, including elementary school students. This study aims to describe the implementation of a basic financial literacy program for students of SD 050430 Bunuraya Village through the KKN program and to analyze its impact on students’ understanding of financial concepts. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the financial literacy program delivered through interactive learning media effectively improves students’ understanding of basic concepts such as saving, distinguishing between needs and wants, and simple management of pocket money. The program is expected to serve as an initial step in building early financial awareness and encouraging the involvement of schools and families in children’s financial education.

Financial literacy is a fundamental skill that should be introduced from an early age to shape wise financial behavior. Elementary school students need to understand basic financial concepts to recognize the value of money, distinguish between needs and wants, and develop saving habits. However, many children still lack adequate financial literacy. This activity aims to improve financial literacy among elementary school students through a saving habituation strategy at SD Negeri 040530 Bunuraya, Bunuraya Village, Tigapanah District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The methods used included observation, teacher interviews, financial literacy socialization, and hands-on assistance in saving activities. The strategies implemented involved simple financial education, pocket money management simulations, creating piggy banks, and conducting regular saving programs at school. The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding of money functions, the importance of saving, and positive changes in financial behavior. Students became more accustomed to setting aside their pocket money and demonstrated more frugal and responsible attitudes. This activity indicates that consistent and structured saving habituation can be an effective strategy for improving children’s financial literacy from an early age.

This study aims to examine the use of piggy banks as a means of financial literacy education among elementary school students. Piggy piggy banks are seen as a simple but effective learning medium in instilling the habit of saving, managing money, and forming a frugal character from an early age. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this research involves students, teachers, and parents as the main data source with interview and observation techniques. The results of the study show that the use of piggy banks not only increases children's understanding of the concept of money and economic value, but also fosters financial responsibility and awareness from an early age. Teachers play an important role in providing direction and assistance, while the role of parents is a reinforcement of the practice of saving at home. In addition, saving through piggy banks has been proven to increase motivation to learn, because children feel that they have financial goals that they want to achieve. Education through piggy banks is the first step in building a strong financial literacy foundation, so that children are used to planning their money wisely and consistently. Thus, piggy banks can be used as effective contextual learning innovations at the elementary school level.

The use of technology in early childhood and elementary education is becoming increasingly important in the digital era. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of educational games as an interactive learning medium to increase the interest and motivation of elementary school students. This activity was carried out by the KKM group 95 team from Bina Bangsa University on 43 fourth-grade students at Bayak Public Elementary School. The research method used a descriptive quantitative approach through a pre-test and post-test using a Google Form questionnaire. The educational games were developed through the Educaplay platform, which provides various features such as interactive quizzes, crosswords, and picture-matching games. Prior to the intervention, observations were conducted on student learning behavior in the classroom. The results of the initial observations indicated that most students showed little interest in conventional, monotonous learning methods. Therefore, a more engaging approach involving active student participation was needed to rekindle their enthusiasm for learning. During the activity, students were very enthusiastic in participating in the educational games presented. The classroom atmosphere became more lively, and students were seen working together and showing a high curiosity about the material presented through the games. After using the educational games for several sessions, a post-test was conducted to measure changes in students' interest and motivation to learn. Preliminary data analysis results indicate an increase in student interest and motivation scores after participating in educational game-based learning. This indicates that interactive, technology-based approaches have strong potential to improve learning effectiveness at the elementary school level. This study recommends that teachers actively integrate interactive technology into the teaching and learning process. In addition to increasing student engagement, the use of media such as Educaplay can also adapt learning to the digital-native characteristics of today's generation of students.

Illegal logging is one of the leading causes of environmental degradation, triggering natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and droughts. Children of Generation Alpha, who are still in the cognitive development stage, are considered vulnerable due to their limited understanding and preparedness for such disasters. This community service program aimed to enhance elementary school students’ awareness and knowledge of disaster mitigation through educational media in the form of printed comics. The activity was conducted by the KKN Team of Universitas Ivet Semarang at SDN Plalangan 02, involving 24 students from grades 3 and 4. The procedure consisted of preliminary observation to assess school needs, comic development on the theme of illegal logging-related disaster mitigation, delivery of the material through comic reading sessions, interactive discussions, and evaluation through pretest and posttest. The pretest results showed that most students were in the "moderate" knowledge category (45.8%). After the intervention, 75% of students reached the "good" category. The Wilcoxon test yielded a significance value of p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference in students’ knowledge before and after the intervention. Printed comics proved effective in conveying complex disaster mitigation content in a visually engaging and narrative-driven format. The approach aligns with the characteristics of Generation Alpha, who are highly responsive to visual media. It is recommended that printed comics be further developed and integrated into disaster education programs in elementary schools, especially those located in disaster prone areas.

This study aims to describe in depth the implementation of financial education in fostering a habit of saving among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 121313 Tanjung Pinggir, Pematang Siantar. This activity is part of the Community Service Program (KKN) conducted by students of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU). This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of learning activities and the implementation of the savings program at school. The data obtained was then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes the process of data reduction, data presentation, and interactive conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of financial education by UINSU KKN students had a positive impact on changes in students' financial behavior. This financial education activity not only fostered financial skills but also shaped students' characters to be more responsible, disciplined, thrifty, and socially empathetic by encouraging them to share some of their savings. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of simple habit-based financial education through UINSU KKN activities has proven effective in fostering interest and enthusiasm for saving among elementary school students and contributes to shaping positive character traits that will be useful in their future lives.

Following the journey of mathematics at the elementary school level, students often hear complaints when they have to explore concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. In such a dilemma, the need for innovation becomes even more pressing, as a way to carve out a vibrant next generation. The author sees that in learning mathematics, grade 3 students at SD Negeri 4 Citeureup lack enthusiasm for mathematics because this subject is often considered difficult. Overall, the process of implementing community service with a focus on education uses the jarimatics method to increase enthusiasm or motivation in studying mathematics for Citeureup 4 public elementary school students. The results of community service activities include the following: (a) achievement of the target number of participants. (b) the accuracy and skill of students working on multiplication problems. (c) achievement of activity objectives. After a series of training activities were carried out, finally we provided feedback questions from students. Do they feel happy and more motivated in learning mathematics? They all agree that they are happy and feel more motivated. To increase students' interest and motivation in learning mathematics, teachers should use good and effective methods to move and motivate students to be active in learning mathematics.
