This study aims to improve digital money literacy among the community of Kineppen Village, Munte District, Karo Regency, through education and the implementation of the QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) payment system. The research utilized a descriptive qualitative approach, incorporating field observations, interviews, and direct mentoring with four local businesses: Ayam Penyet Pak Lek, Warkop Aim Tigander, Oke Laundry Kineppen, and Pangkas Singarimbun. The findings show that two businesses, Ayam Penyet Pak Lek and Pangkas Singarimbun, successfully adopted QRIS, leading to smoother transactions and increased customer trust. However, the other two businesses, Warkop Aim Tigander and Oke Laundry Kineppen, still face challenges in adopting the system due to limited internet access and deep-rooted traditional cash payment habits. Despite these barriers, the program significantly enhanced the digital literacy of local entrepreneurs, raising their awareness and readiness to participate in the village’s digital economy. This study emphasizes the importance of continuous support and access to technology in fostering the broader adoption of digital payment systems, particularly in rural areas where technological access may still be limited

The digitalization of the creative economy has opened up significant opportunities for the community to create innovative products that have high sales value and are environmentally friendly. One interesting innovation is the use of used cooking oil as a raw material for making aromatherapy candles. Used cooking oil, which is usually discarded and pollutes the environment, can be reprocessed into products with economic value, thus supporting the principles of a circular economy. This study aims to examine the potential of processing used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles, analyze digital-based marketing strategies to increase product competitiveness in the market, and examine the meaning of transforming waste into innovative products from the perspective of Immanuel Kant's philosophy of reality. The research methods used were literature studies and field observations of used cooking oil processing practices by the community. The results show that used cooking oil-based aromatherapy candles have good business prospects, especially when combined with digital promotion through social media and marketplaces. Digitalization helps expand marketing reach, create brand identity, and attract consumers who care about environmental sustainability. From the perspective of Immanuel Kant's philosophy of reality, the transformation of used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles can be understood as a phenomenon, namely a reality that is visible in the practice of the digital creative economy. Meanwhile, the values of sustainability, ethical awareness, and social meaning contained therein reflect noumena, namely the deepest reality that is not directly visible but provides direction and meaning for human actions.

The rapid rise of short-form social media platforms, particularly TikTok, among adolescents has raised concerns regarding excessive use and potential behavioral addiction that may negatively affect mental health and academic functioning. This community engagement program aimed to screen the risk of TikTok addiction among secondary school students in West Jakarta and provide education on healthy digital practices. The program was conducted at one private school in Jelambar, involving 306 students aged 11–18 years. Screening was performed using the TikTok Addiction Scale (TTAS) followed by digital literacy education. A Plan–Do–Check–Action (PDCA) framework was applied to ensure systematic implementation. The mean TTAS score was 39.97 ± 14.24 (range 20–84), indicating diverse levels of TikTok engagement. Female students demonstrated higher scores and wider distribution, suggesting greater vulnerability to excessive social media use. Digital hygiene and screen-time management education enhanced students’ awareness regarding social media addiction risks and appropriate preventive strategies. This program demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of TTAS-based screening for early identification of TikTok addiction risk. It highlighted the importance of integrating digital health promotion into school-based mental health programs to support adolescent well-being.

Parenting communication literacy is a fundamental competence that influences children’s growth in cognitive, emotional, and social domains. Initial findings at Posyandu Teratai, South Tangerang, revealed that many mothers still relied on authoritarian and less dialogical communication, which limited children’s confidence and engagement. In response, the Community Service (PKM) team of Universitas Pamulang implemented a program entitled Optimizing Parenting Communication Literacy through Digital Media. The activities were designed using participatory strategies such as lectures, interactive group discussions, simulation exercises, and the dissemination of digital learning materials in the form of modules and videos. The program outcomes demonstrated considerable improvement in mothers’ knowledge and attitudes toward positive communication practices, including the ability to listen actively, provide encouragement, and employ digital platforms as continuous learning resources. Furthermore, the integration of digital tools enabled mothers to access and exchange information beyond formal training sessions. The broader impact of the program was the establishment of a collaborative learning community at Posyandu, which not only supported families in applying positive parenting approaches but also reinforced community-level awareness of effective communication in child-rearing.

The development of wearable technology, especially smartwatches, opens up great opportunities in preventive health monitoring, especially in rural areas such as Sembung Village, Wringinanom, Gresik, where access to health services is limited. However, this technology is still alien to the local community. Preliminary surveys show that the majority of citizens, including health cadres, have never used or even seen a smartwatch in person, and view it as a luxury and irrelevant item. In fact, the potential of smartwatches as “digital health assistants” is huge from tracking heart rate, blood oxygen levels (SpO₂), stress levels, to physical activity reminders that are essential for early detection of health disorders. This service activity aims to improve digital literacy and adoption of smartwatch technology through a participatory educational approach and direct assistance. Implementation methods include: (1) coordination with the village government and health workers, (2) Interactive socialization using local languages, (3) step-by-step practical training, (4) simulation of application in the field, and (5) pre-test and post-test evaluation of 27 participants (25 health cadres, 1 midwife, 1 nurse). The results showed significant improvements: function understanding from the original value of 1.8 increased to 4.2, consumption interest from the original value of 2.1 increased to 4.0, benefit perception from the original value of 1.9 increased to 4.3, self confidence from the original value of 1.5 increased to 3.8, and digital literacy awareness from the original value of 2.0 increased to 4.1. The hands-on approach proved effective in changing participants ' mindset from skeptical to enthusiastic, proving that the digital divide is not due to incompetence, but the lack of access to contextual education. The implication is that smartwatch has the potential to become a strategic tool for village health cadres in early detection and real-time data-based health education, provided that it is supported by sustainable mentoring.

Sukapura batik represents the local wisdom of the Tasikmalaya Regency community, showcasing their relationship with the surrounding natural and social environments. This batik has distinct characteristics, particularly in its color palette, which features dark blue, maroon, and beige tones. Despite its long history, Sukapura batik struggles to achieve the same recognition as well-known batik from regions like Cirebon, Solo, and Pekalongan. As a result, the number of batik artisans in Sukaraja has gradually declined. This research examines the communication efforts to preserve Sukapura batik and explore its growth potential. Using a qualitative method and a case study approach, the study gathers data from participants through interviews, observations, and the analysis of written documents, both online and offline. The results showed that there are differences in marketing strategies between craftsmen in Sukapura Village and Janggala Village. Sukapura Village craftsmen still rely on traditional marketing, while the Gandok Jaya Mukti Joint Business Group (KUB) utilizes exhibitions and social media. The main challenges are low digital literacy and limited capital. Sukapura batik has the potential for development, despite challenges posed by global competition. Realizing this potential depends on support from the local government in areas such as human resource development, as well as marketing and promotion through online channels. The sustainability of Sukapura batik relies on the government's and policymakers' proactive involvement to devise and implement strategies that enhance promotional and marketing endeavors, particularly those targeting the younger generation. Efforts to raise awareness of Sukapura batik require collaboration between artisans, the government, and the community. One approach is through education and training for young batik makers, as well as providing facilities to support digital marketing.

The spread of illegal cosmetics in Indonesia remains a concerning issue, particularly through digital platforms. One of the main contributing factors is the lack of public awareness and understanding regarding the differences between legal and illegal products. To address this challenge, animation-based media was chosen as an effective educational tool. This paper describes the implementation of motion graphic techniques in producing the animated video “Produk Aman, Kulit Nyaman”, which emphasizes the importance of using safe and legally approved skincare products. Motion graphics were selected for their ability to dynamically present visual elements, making the message more accessible to the audience. The editing process is divided into three key stages: material collection, assembly, and testing. Material collection focuses on systematic asset organization; assembly involves animating the assets using Adobe After Effects based on a structured storyline; and testing includes internal evaluation and informal validation by five female high school students as representatives of the target audience. This approach shows that motion graphics are not only effective in conveying educational messages but also contribute creatively to improving consumer literacy.

This Community Service Program aimed to enhance the productivity of broomstick craftsmen in Karang Rejo Village by innovating a coconut leaf separator tool and developing an online sales module. Traditionally, the separation process was manual, labor-intensive, and time-consuming, limiting production and income. The team designed a simple yet effective tool that increased daily output from 1–5 bundles to 6–7 bundles. Additionally, a digital sales module using platforms like Shopee was introduced to expand market reach. As a result, the local community improved production efficiency and gained new knowledge in modern marketing strategies. This program not only empowers the community economically and technologically but also promotes environmental sustainability by utilizing coconut leaves as economic resources. By applying appropriate technology and a digital approach, this initiative serves as a replicable model of village empowerment through local innovation, contributing to long-term economic growth and ecological awareness in rural areas.
