Basic education is a crucial stage in human resource development; however, not all students can follow the learning process at the same pace. Slow learners require special approaches to optimally understand the material. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method to examine teachers’ strategies in addressing slow learners in elementary schools. The findings indicate that curriculum modification, the use of engaging learning media, individualized approaches, collaboration with parents and schools, as well as inclusive and flexible classroom management are effective steps to support the success of slow learners. These approaches are expected to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment while enhancing student motivation and learning outcomes.

Technological developments and changes in the global world are driving rapid transformation in various aspects. The education system needs to undergo fundamental changes to prepare the next generation to face the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. A new curriculum needs to be designed to teach students the essential skills of this century, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and understanding digital literacy. The conventional curriculum model that focuses on mastering factual knowledge and basic skills is no longer sufficient. In order to change education, all aspects of the education ecosystem must be evaluated comprehensively, including the government, educational institutions, teachers, parents, and society as a whole. The curriculum must be updated to support project-based learning methods, cross-disciplinary research, and an emphasis on developing 21st century skills. In addition, the way of teaching must shift from a teacher-dominated approach to a student-focused approach, with the help of digital technology.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the moral education program at SMAN 5 Payakumbuh, focusing on four main aspects: policy support, resources, implementation, and student morals. The underlying problem of this research is the importance of moral education in shaping students' character in the educational environment. The research methodology uses the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model that integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches. The context evaluation highlights school policy support for the program, the input evaluation evaluates the availability of human and material resources, the process evaluation audits the implementation of the program, and the product evaluation evaluates its impact on changes in student attitudes and behavior.
