Tradition is a form of ancestral heritage that is still preserved today. Traditions are related to beliefs that have certain goals. The author researched the sea pethik tradition held in Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency. The Sea Picking tradition is a tradition held by the fishing community of Muncar District on the 15th of the month of Muharram or the month of Sura. The Sea Picking Tradition in Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency has become a form of gratitude to God. God gives safety and sustenance, in the form of fish which are useful for the lives of the fishermen of the Muncar community. The aim of the author in conducting this research is several things, such as explaining the beginning, all the activities, tools and materials, the meaning of the tools and materials, the function and benefits of the Petik Laut tradition in Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency. The author conducted this research using qualitative research. Because qualitative data is data in the form of words, schemes and images.  In this research, the data method used is descriptive qualitative data. So that the data taken and processed from the data source is transformed into described qualitative data. The author uses folklore theory for research, namely folklore theory originating from Danandjaja (1984:1-2). Folklore theory is a number of cultures that are collective, spread and passed down from generation to generation, traditionally and have different versions. The data sources in this research come from interviews and observations. So as to produce research that is in accordance with the aim of carrying out research on the sea picking tradition in Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency.

This article analyzes the representation of culture shock in Andrea Hirata's novel Edensor, focusing on the experiences of the main characters, Ikal and Arai, as they interact with European culture. Using Kalvero Oberg's culture shock theory, which includes the stages of honeymoon, crisis, recovery, and adjustment, this study explores how both characters undergo shifts in mindset and attitudes when confronted with foreign cultural values. The paper also discusses the impact of culture shock on their character development and its relevance in today's global socio-cultural context, including migration and international education. Through this analysis, it is understood that culture shock is not merely a clash of cultures, but also a crucial process for learning and personal growth. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to interdisciplinary literary studies, particularly in understanding the relationship between literature and social-cultural phenomena.

The pre-wedding procession in Mandailing tradition is a tradition that is still carried out today. Mandailing customary law regulates forms of marriage that reflect the community's kinship, cultural and religious values. Traditional weddings involve Dalihan Na Tolu—mora, kahanggi, and anak boru—as the core of the traditional procession. The wedding ceremony begins with a traditional meeting called makkobar or markkatai, where unique and formal greetings are used. Post-wedding processions such as marulahari, mangupa-upa and so on, all of this cannot be separated from the customs that are still inherent in Mandailing customs. All Mandailing traditional practices cannot be separated from the role of dalihan na tolu, especially in matters of marriage. This research uses a literature study method by analyzing traditional documents and related literature. The results show that Mandailing customs not only reflect cultural identity, but also strengthen social harmony and are able to adapt to changing times.

TikTok is one of the many applications used and popular today, especially among teenagers. TikTok social media can also be utilised as a creativity forum and digital literacy tool. People need a forum that can be used to channel creativity as well as being a motivation and encouragement for users to channel their thoughts and ideas to the Tiktok platform. Because in this era there is still a lack of applications that can be used as a creativity forum. In addition, the lack of literacy at this time can be a problem that must be faced. The lack of literacy, especially digital literacy, can make social media users continue to accept any information without accepting that the information is true or contains a lie. The existence of Tiktok social media can be used as a means of digital literacy. Besides containing entertainment, Tiktok also contains information that its users need.

The maintenance of education must be tailored to the needs and interests of students so that they learn something that interests them. Therefore, today's educational systems focus educational objectives and processes on the child's factor and can foster freedom of interests and needs. This makes the Social Science subjects taught in primary school must be based on the needs and interests of the child about the environment in which he lives. Basically, the subject of Social Science must be taught with a full sense of responsibility to the student, because it is very closely related to the people and the environment where humans live and carry out the activities to meet their needs. This makes the role of the teacher not only as a teacher but also as a guide and at the same time as an administrator. The personal teacher as a unit also determines the learning result given. Therefore, the component of the teaching situation, the correct delivery method and the media used also determine the learning outcome.Thus it can be concluded, that learning will be successful when considering many interrelated teaching components. These components can be grouped into three main categories, namely: first, the teacher, second, the subject matter, and third, the student. The interaction between the three main components involves the means and objects, methods, media and setting up of the learning environment so that a learning situation is created that enables the achievement of a previously planned goal.

Harun al-Rashid, as one of the earliest thinkers, made a valuable contribution in this regard, with his concept of thought that is relevant to Islamic education today. This research aims to explain the concept of Harun Ar-Rashid's thoughts related to Islamic education and its relevance to the current context of Islamic education. The research method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach, exploring information from various sources such as literature, research reports, theses, dissertations, and electronic publications related to Harun Ar-Rashid's concept of thought on Islamic education and its relevance to the present. The results show that Harun al-Rashid's concept of Islamic education has significant inspirational value. A deep understanding of these concepts allows Islamic education to continue to develop and make a positive contribution amid the dynamics of modern times. In the midst of the complexity of the modern world, the values championed by Harun al-Rashid can be an important guideline in defining the role of Islamic education and achieving the expected noble goals.

One example of editorial text found in everyday life is in newspapers. Newspapers provide actual information needed by the public through reporting in editorial texts. The newspaper that is often found today is the Kompas Newspaper. In the educational realm, the editorial text in the Kompas Newspaper can be a medium for learning Indonesian. Editorial text in newspapers requires appropriate sentence structure so that readers can understand the meaning of the contents of the newspaper. Thus, sentence structure in editorial texts can be a medium for analyzing directive illocutionary speech acts. This research aims to determine the types of directive illocution speech acts contained in editorial texts in the Kompas Newspaper. The theoretical benefit of this research is to increase insight and information regarding the types of directive illocution speech acts. The practical benefit is being able to understand the meaning of sentences written in newspapers. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative which refers to a theoretical approach in the form of a pragmatic approach. The method in this research is the matching method using listening and note-taking techniques, while the data presentation method uses formal data presentation. The primary data used is editorial text sourced from the Kompas Newspaper. The data that has been found is presented in the form of an explanation and linked to secondary data in the form of similar previous research. The results of this research are 18 types of directive illocution speech acts which include 7 directive illocution speech acts suggesting, 1 opposing, 2 requesting, 1 commanding, 1 hoping, 1 appealing, 1 giving a signal, 2 pleading, 1 urging, and 1 inviting.

This research aims to find out how important it is to use Indonesian properly and correctly, what causes the widespread use of slang, especially among teenagers, and how slang influences the use of Indonesian. In processing the data in this article, the literature study method was used to study various literature. Slang has caused the decline of good and correct Indonesian language martabak. Today's society has been influenced by technological advances which have triggered the emergence of slang. National identity and Indonesian as an official language must be strengthened so that it is not influenced by slang.

This research aims to find out how important it is to use Indonesian properly and correctly, what causes the widespread use of slang, especially among teenagers, and how slang influences the use of Indonesian. In processing the data in this article, the literature study method was used to study various literature. Slang has caused the decline of good and correct Indonesian language martabak. Today's society has been influenced by technological advances which have triggered the emergence of slang. National identity and Indonesian as an official language must be strengthened so that it is not influenced by slang.
