This study analyzes the short story Cinta Semata Wayang by Nuryana Asmaudi SA using a literary psychology approach grounded in Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory. The research applies a literature study with a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through close reading to identify structural elements and the psychological dynamics of the characters. The findings reveal marital conflict symbolized through wayang figures, particularly Rama and Sinta. Structurally, the story presents a progressive plot, symbolic and metaphorical language, and central themes of love and responsibility. The psychological analysis highlights the interaction of the id, ego, and superego within the main characters: Rama experiences tension between personal desires and moral norms, while Sinta demonstrates superego dominance through loyalty and emotional endurance. The short story emphasizes that true love is not solely based on emotion but also requires responsibility, commitment, and moral awareness as the foundation of a harmonious and sustainable relationship. This research contributes to literary psychology studies and deepens understanding of moral values in literature.

This research examines the manifestation of humanistic values in six selected short stories from Kompas in 2021-2022 as an alternative literary teaching material. The phenomenon of declining understanding of humanitarian values among students and the importance of instilling these values through literary works serve as the background for this study. The goal is to identify and analyze the representation of humanism in contemporary Indonesian literature. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. The analysis results show that the six short stories studied are rich in humanistic values such as openness, responsibility, solidarity, justice, self-sacrifice, care, and mutual assistance. The structure of a short story, including characters and setting, plays an important role in conveying those values. "The Holy Family" depicts openness, "The Three-Colored Bahar Roots" emphasizes sacrifice, "This City is a Well" explores solidarity, "About the Name of Majid Pucuk" showcases the struggle for justice, "The House that Always Smells Bad" illustrates mutual aid, and "The Fading Spark in His Eyes" highlights family care. This finding has implications for the development of more contextual literature teaching materials, encouraging a deeper understanding of humanism among students.

The use of deixis is quite important in the process of interaction and communication, including in short stories which are quite dense in writing because they are related to indicating something and leading to certain references or points of reference and are bound by the context of the utterance. The data for this research is in the form of deixis data originating from the short story "It is forbidden to sing in the bathroom" by Senoo Gumira Ajidarma. The research method used is content analysis with stages of data collection, sample determination, data recording, data reduction, drawing conclusions from the data, and deictic analysis contained in the short story. The research results include six sentences for first person deixis, one sentence for third person deixis or more than one. In existence there is one sentence. In the discourse diexis there are three sentences, and in the social diexis there is also one conversational sentence.

The aim of the research is to narrate the fifth grade reading literacy skills from the perspective of the fifth grade elementary school teacher. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique used was interviews. The data analysis technique applied is descriptive qualitative data analysis to discuss research results and determine conclusions. There were 26 fifth grade students who were the subjects of the research. The research results showed that fifth grade students had good reading literacy skills in understanding various fiction and non-fiction texts, although there were three students with special needs who were still having difficulties. There are 26 out of 26 students who regularly borrow and read various books in the library every Friday. Morning literacy and literacy activities every Friday after gymnastics make students' literacy skills better. There were also 23 out of 26 students who were able to understand the content of reading fairy tales, short stories, explanatory texts, math story problems and thematic lesson material. This research can be applied for consideration by teachers in improving the reading literacy skills of fifth grade students.

The purpose of this study is to 1) find out the values of character education in the novel "ordinary people" by Andrea Hirata 2) find out the relevance of the character education value of the novel "ordinary people" in the learning of short stories. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection in this study uses a literature technique with content analysis. Some of the steps to collect data in the novel Ordinary People, 1) The researcher reads the novel as a whole carefully, 2) Records or marks words and sentences related to the formulation of the problem, such as the structure of the novel, as well as sentences that show the values of character education, and 3) Identifies the values of character education contained in this novel. The results of this research found 5 values of character educators, namely honesty, discipline, hard work, independence, and democracy. From the results of the above analysis, 10 analysis data were found. The results of this study can be relevant to the learning of short story texts contained in KD 3.5 Identifying the elements that build literary works in short story texts that are read or heard and can affect the formation of student character in accordance with the strengthening of the Pancasila student profile that applies to the Independent curriculum.

This research explains the forms, causes and impacts in the short story "Last Stage" by M Rasyid Hw. The objectives of this research are: (1) Describe the form of social conflict; (2) analyzing the causes of social conflict; and (3) explain the negative and positive impacts of social conflict. This research method uses qualitative descriptive methods and literature. The primary data source is the short story "Last Stage" and secondary data sources are articles and theoretical books. Data collection techniques use reading and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study is based on the background of 6th grade students of SDS Bhakti Luhur, there are internal and external barriers for novice writers. These obstacles include a lack of knowledge, not having a good command of language, and a lack of interest in writing, while external factors that prevent someone from writing are the difficulty of finding topics or ideas for writing material. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between reading ability and short story writing skills in grade VI students of SDS Bhakti Luhur. This study uses a quantitative approach by using the survey method. The population of this study amounted to 24 students. The entire population was used as a research sample. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by filling out a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the correlation test and the coefficient of determination (R2) test. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between reading ability and short story writing skills, this is evidenced by the results of the correlation test which produces a correlation value (rxy) of 0.635> r table compared to the r table value of N = 26 and df = N-2 = 24 obtained 0.635.Then the percentage of the relationship between reading ability and short story writing skills is 37.6%.This is evidenced by the results of the coefficient of determination (R2 ) test conducted by researchers.This research can be useful for teachers in order to improve reading skills and writing skills in students.

The problem in this research is more focused on the form of inner conflict of the main character Rani. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, using a short story literary work entitled When Mas Wants to Marry Again by Nirmala Rustini as a research source. The data collection technique uses the note-reading method, by reading the entire short story and recording relevant data to be used as a source of research data. From the results of this research, it was found that there were five inner conflicts found in the short story When Mas Wants to Marry Again, namely feelings of sadness, feelings of anger, feelings of fear, feelings of anxiety, and feelings of disappointment.

The data collection technique uses the note-reading method, by reading the entire short story and recording relevant data to be used as a source of research data. From the results of this research, it was found that there were five inner conflicts found in the short story When Mas Wants to Marry Again, namely feelings of sadness, feelings of anger, feelings of fear, feelings of anxiety, and feelings of disappointment.
