This study analyzes the sociolinguistic phenomena of code-switching and code-mixing in the academic context of students in Pekalongan, Central Java. As a region with diverse backgrounds dominated by the Pekalongan dialect (Ngapak Javanese), interactions between students create space for complex language dynamics. This study aims to identify variations, roles, and factors that cause code-switching and code-mixing in student interactions. The method applied is descriptive qualitative with data collection through inactive participant observation, recording, and in-depth interviews at various universities in Pekalongan. Data analysis is carried out through the steps of data reduction, data presentation, and verification using triangulation techniques. The results show that the application of language codes is divided into two categories: an internal category that includes Indonesian and regional languages (Javanese), and an external category that includes foreign languages (English or Arabic). Code-mixing can be found at the word, phrase, and clause levels. The main factors that drive this phenomenon include participants, conversation themes, situational circumstances, and the purpose of communication in building solidarity among group members (ingroup).  The Pekalongan dialect plays a crucial role as a means of communication to build closeness and demonstrate local identity, amidst the need to use formal language on campus. This research concludes that code-switching and code-mixing are not merely linguistic phenomena, but also ways in which students adapt socially to balance their cultural identity with academic demands.

Humans are present to provide understanding related to what is conveyed through the medium of language. But sometimes just to understand, it needs to be studied specifically. understand the literature from a different perspective, namely moral. therefore the purpose of the following literary researchers is Moral Values ​​in the Novel Surat Kecil Untuk Karya Agnes Davonar. The research method used by researchers is descriptive qualitative. This study describes the object being studied by developing morals. Researchers act as the main instrument with the help of data. The data intended by this study is the moral data contained in the novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan. And then used as a data source in the following research, namely the novel "Small Letters to God" by Agnes Davonar, published by Falcon Publishing in 2016. The thickness of the pages is 215. The results of this study show that the moral values ​​of the novel "Small Letters to God" written by Agnes Davonar include: moral values ​​in the novel "Small Letters to God" written by Agnes Davonar, namely human moral values ​​with God, moral values ​​with oneself, moral values ​​with other humans.

An Anthology of Opinions Towards a Healthy Indonesia and Optimal State Revenue through Tobacco Excise Policy Reform contains ideas related to tobacco excise policy in supporting public health and optimizing state revenue. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of sentences in a collection of opinion pieces about a healthy Indonesia and optimal state revenue through tobacco excise policy reform. In conducting the research, the authors used a methodological approach in the form of a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection with this method is done using reading and recording techniques. This research uses text analysis techniques with a qualitative descriptive analysis approach as a data analysis technique. Based on the analysis that has been carried out on Bunga Rampai Collection of Opinions Towards a Healthy Indonesia and Optimal Revenue through Tobacco Excise Policy Reform, 11 effective sentences have been found. Meanwhile, errors related to EYD and KBBI were also found with details in the form of 16 ineffective sentences, 31 ambiguous sentences, 5 sentences with capitalization errors, 12 sentences with nonstandard words, and 18 sentences with other types of errors. In addition to being used as a reference for analyzing sentence effectiveness, this research is also useful for enriching the study of tobacco excise policy communication, especially for RPJM 2025-2029 policymakers. In addition, this research can also be used as a reference for further research related to sentence effectiveness.

This research is motivated by the fact that effective sentences in historical articles can be a path to progressive learning. The article “Sejarah Dunia” (World History), October 2024 edition on sejarahkita.com, was chosen as the object of research because of its relevance as a medium that can provide historical information in a clear and interesting way. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of sentences in articles that are directed at history education, which not only focus on facts but also on the development of critical thinking skills. The method used is descriptive qualitative with listening and recording techniques. The author analyzes the sentence structure, word choice, coherence between sentences, and the chronological flow of the article using distributional and matching methods. The collected data will be tabulated to identify syntactic errors, accuracy of diction, and spelling. The findings show that the article contains a number of shortcomings in sentence structure, where the message conveyed is less clear. However, in some ways, the article also succeeds in conveying an informative and relevant history. This study will provide benefits and insights into effective sentences in historical articles to provide a basis for readers to understand various suggestions and models for progressive learning oriented towards critical thinking. In addition, this study also provides added value by preserving historical values through an easy and interesting presentation.

This study aims to describe the form of inner conflict of the character Alena in facing social pressure in the novel Lilin by Saniyyah Putri S.S. The data collection technique used was a literature study by reading, recording, and identifying data from the novel. The data analysis technique used was a qualitative descriptive analysis with Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic approach, which includes the id, ego, and superego. The results of the analysis show that the character Alena experiences an inner conflict that is predominantly influenced by social pressure from the family and community environment, which is reflected through the tug-of-war between subconscious drives and the moral values she believes in. The conclusion of this study is that the inner conflict experienced by Alena is raised in the continuity between the id, ego, and superego, which strengthens the relevance of Freud's psychoanalytic theory in understanding the dynamics of the psyche of fictional characters

This study aims to analyze intensive reading skills among fifth-grade elementary school students. Intensive reading is a vital skill that supports information comprehension and serves as a foundation for mastering other subjects. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study method. Data were collected through direct observation, audio recordings, and document analysis of previous reading assessment results. Evaluation involved cognitive tests with multiple-choice questions and psychomotor observations while students read texts independently. The findings reveal variations in intensive reading skills among students, particularly in understanding text content, organizing ideas, diction accuracy, sentence structure, spelling, and note-taking ability. Most students could grasp the main idea and identify the plot well; however, challenges remained in using appropriate diction, maintaining consistent sentence structure, and achieving accuracy in spelling and note-taking. These results highlight the need for more effective teaching strategies to improve students’ intensive reading skills. This study is expected to contribute positively to the development of Indonesian language learning methods at the elementary level, better preparing students to face increasingly complex academic challenges.

The analysis focuses on capitalization, punctuation, word usage, and sentence structure. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach. Data were collected through in-depth reading and recording of linguistic errors found in the book's text. The results indicate that errors such as improper capitalization, punctuation mistakes, inaccurate word choices, and ineffective sentence structures can hinder the understanding of discrete mathematics concepts. Therefore, linguistic improvements are necessary to enhance the book's effectiveness and quality as a teaching material. These revisions are also expected to increase the book’s academic credibility as a reference for students and scholars.

Learning via YouTube is now widely practiced by educational content creators. In this case, the use of speech used in the delivery of learning should be considered. The use of speech affects the understanding of viewers or students when watching the learning video. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the locutionary speech acts in the Indonesian language learning videos of class VIII SMP on Helza RN's YouTube channel and the effectiveness of the use of speech. Descriptive qualitative research method is used to analyze the related data. The approach used in this research is the theoretical approach, namely the pragmatic approach by analyzing the types of speech acts and the intentions in them. The researcher uses listening and recording techniques to find out the locution utterances in the Indonesian language learning video for class VIII junior high school on Helza RN's YouTube channel, then the researcher analyzes the speech acts related to the context with the commensurate method. From the data analysis that has been done, it is found that there are 202 declarative speech acts, 14 interrogative speech acts, and 19 imperative speech acts that make the learning video provide a complete explanation of the material, but there is a lack of interaction between Helza Rn and viewers. The results of this study are expected to increase readers' understanding of locutionary speech acts and their types. And can be a reference for other content creators, especially in making learning videos so that they are more interesting and interactive.

The approach used in this research is pragmatic theoretical approach and descriptive qualitative. Researchers used listening and recording techniques on the Taman Edukasi: Kenalan sama Animasi in the youtube channel Kok Bisa?. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method of research based on postpositive philosophy which is used to study natural things to collect data, agih method and pairing method used to analyze this data. From the data analysis conducted, it was found that there were 152 directive speech acts, there were 5 types of directive speech acts namely invitation, command, prohibition, advice, advice. The results of the analysis in this article can provide further understanding of the role of directive speech acts in the context of video-based learning and material development by paying attention to directive speech acts.

The object of research in the novel love story of entrico, this study will focus on analyzing moral values in the novel. Data collection techniques are reading and notes. The reading technique is carried out by reading the story novel of enriek repeatedly and as a whole to clearly understand the contents of the story novel Enico by Utami's love story. Then the next step is to look for moral values in the novel langakah the next is to record the moral values contained in the novel Enico love story. This recording technique is to determine and analyze moral values in the novel of Enico's love story. The results of the study showed that the novel of the love story of Enico by ayu Utami includes, moral, religious, and education values. The moral value that we learn in Enrico love story is, as humans should have a clear life goal so that in the future we get life and kebahagin. The religious value is seen from his parents who are one religious Muslim and others are Christians, then Enrico himself does not choose a religion and belief. The value of education, namely Enrico, continues his education at a university in one of the universities in Bandung which is known as ITB, majoring in mining.
