This study aims to analyze how the appreciation and application of Indonesian national identity at SMAN 14 Medan on symbols and signs that exist in the school ecosystem and the learning process. The type of research used is qualitative research and the methods used are case study and observation methods. The results of the analysis show that there are several signs and symbols related to the identity of the Indonesian nation both of symbols that are visible in real terms or have visualization, as well as in appreciation of values through behavior and actions, especially symbols and signs related to the Indonesian nation identity in the form of Pancasila and diversity. Symbols and signs related to values of diversity is application of Indonesian language and no discrimination, agent of change team, anti bullying posters in school environment. Symbols and signs related to Pancasila values is there are religious activities, application of 5S everymorning, flag ceremony, group assignment in class, and friday clean.

One example of editorial text found in everyday life is in newspapers. Newspapers provide actual information needed by the public through reporting in editorial texts. The newspaper that is often found today is the Kompas Newspaper. In the educational realm, the editorial text in the Kompas Newspaper can be a medium for learning Indonesian. Editorial text in newspapers requires appropriate sentence structure so that readers can understand the meaning of the contents of the newspaper. Thus, sentence structure in editorial texts can be a medium for analyzing directive illocutionary speech acts. This research aims to determine the types of directive illocution speech acts contained in editorial texts in the Kompas Newspaper. The theoretical benefit of this research is to increase insight and information regarding the types of directive illocution speech acts. The practical benefit is being able to understand the meaning of sentences written in newspapers. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative which refers to a theoretical approach in the form of a pragmatic approach. The method in this research is the matching method using listening and note-taking techniques, while the data presentation method uses formal data presentation. The primary data used is editorial text sourced from the Kompas Newspaper. The data that has been found is presented in the form of an explanation and linked to secondary data in the form of similar previous research. The results of this research are 18 types of directive illocution speech acts which include 7 directive illocution speech acts suggesting, 1 opposing, 2 requesting, 1 commanding, 1 hoping, 1 appealing, 1 giving a signal, 2 pleading, 1 urging, and 1 inviting.

Algorithms and programming play a crucial role in problem solving and software development. The origin of the word "algorithm" comes from "algorism," and its history can be traced to Abu Ja'far Muhammad Ibn Musa Al-khuwarizmi. This article presents definitions of algorithms from several sources, such as Kani (2020), Jando &; Nani (2018), Munir & Lidya (2016), and Sismoro (2005). The programming algorithm, as a series of logical and systematic steps, becomes the core in Troubleshooting. The research method applied is descriptive and qualitative, by collecting information from various sources, including books, journal articles, and research reports. The discussion in this article covers the significance of algorithms in everyday life and their application in computer programming. In addition, this article details the basic concepts of algorithms, the role of programming languages, and algorithm representation techniques. In the discussion section, it was revealed that algorithms involve logical and systematic steps to solve a task or problem. The basic structure of the algorithm includes repetition, branching, and sequential order. Programming languages contribute to simplifying human interaction with computers, increasing productivity, as well as facilitating software maintenance and development. Algorithms can be represented in the form of descriptive sentences, pseudocode, or flowcharts. Flowcharts use symbols to illustrate the steps of solving a problem. Repetition, branching, and sequential structures can be clearly described through flowcharts. This article provides a comprehensive overview of algorithms and programming, giving readers insight into the basic concepts, implementation, and importance of algorithms in the context of computer programming.

This research delves into the intricate realm of maritime education, focusing on the academic and professional preparedness of Semester 3 cadets at the Maritime Institute Jakarta (STIP Jakarta). Anchored in a qualitative descriptive approach, the study synthesizes document analysis and cadet surveys to unravel the multifaceted dynamics shaping the educational landscape. The document analysis reveals a curriculum at STIP Jakarta that aligns commendably with international standards, supported by comprehensive lecturer training programmes. However, the nuanced cadet perspectives spotlight a need for refined emphasis on the practical application of English proficiency in real-world maritime scenarios. Cadet self-assessment underscores both confidence in academic intelligence and an identified need for additional language support, calling for targeted interventions. Exploring professional competences uncovers a disparity between technical proficiency and English Maritime communication, highlighting the importance of a holistic approach to bridge this gap. Cadet motivations vary from a genuine passion for maritime activities to the allure of lucrative career prospects and international recognition. Recognizing this diversity urges the need for personalised career guidance and mentorship programmes. The research also sheds light on English Maritime and Literacy proficiency, differentiating between basic skills and the ability to handle complex communication scenarios. Recommendations include integrating advanced language modules and tailored language support initiatives within the curriculum, ensuring a seamless development of linguistic skills alongside technical competences. This research discusses the development of social studies material at MIS Aisyiyah North Sumatra by integrating the teachings of the Koran and Hadith. Involving critical analysis of existing materials, this research sets out development steps that ensure alignment with Islamic principles. Methods include identification of material, assessment according to Islamic values, and preparation of new material. Teacher and stakeholder participation is integrated to ensure acceptance and effectiveness of implementation in the educational environment. This research is expected to provide practical guidance for MIS Aisyiyah and similar madrasas, enabling the development of social studies material that reflects Islamic values, strengthening students' understanding of social studies while strengthening the moral and spiritual foundation.

This study uses a qualitative method with a literature or literature study design. Data sources for this research come from various articles, books, journals and reports related to the research topic. Content analysis techniques were used to analyze the data. The research results show that digital literacy can increase students' motivation, interest and skills in reading and writing Indonesian texts.

This study aims to improve students' writing skills through image media by using an individual learning learning model in class II UPTD SDN 145 Inpres Pampangan. This research is Classroom Action Research, the subject of this study is class II which amounts to 32 students consisting of 19 boys and 13 girls. This research was carried out as many as 2 cycles, each cycle consists of four stages, namely action planning, action implementation, evaluation, and reflection. This research was conducted in the Teacher Training Professional Strengthening (P2K) activity which began on September 4-October 14 in the 2023/2024 school year. The results showed that the average score (mean) after applying image media in learning increased from 78% to 82%. Similarly, the completeness of student learning has increased from cycle I and cycle II. And from the results of the comparison of learning process activities in cycles I and II showed that there were several student activities that increased such as student attendance, students who paid attention to material discussion, students who asked questions and students who did practice questions. So it can be said that through image media can improve writing skills and learning outcomes of grade II students of UPTD SDN 145 Inpres Pampangan.

This study aims to improve students' writing skills through image media by using an individual learning learning model in class II UPTD SDN 145 Inpres Pampangan. Data collection techniques in this research are listening techniques and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques are the process of systematically searching and compiling the data obtained by organizing the data into categories, breaking it down into units, synthesizing it, arranging it into patterns, selecting the important meanings that will be studied, and making conclusions so that it is easy. understood. The results of research on the traditional house buildings of the Simalungun tribe show that there are many symbols found in the traditional house buildings of the Simalungun tribe.

This research focuses on the analysis of intrinsic elements in the short story "Layang-Layang" by Marya Bernadeth Tukan using an objective approach. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with the short story "Layang-Layang" by Marya Bernadeth Tukan as the resource. The data collection technique that the researcher used was to read carefully the entire contents of the short story. The analysis technique that researchers use is by examining and discussing the contents of the short story. The results of the analysis that the researchers got was the theme of an unexpected meeting, the characters are Waban and Abel. Waban's character is a loner, a seeker of peace, simple and spontaneous, with a high sense of curiosity, as well as leadership. Meanwhile, Abel's character is mysterious, has a high taste for art, is independent, firm and humble. Marya Bernadeth Tukan writes her story using a third person point of view, this is indicated by the use of the names "Waban, Ia, and Dia". The language style used in the short story is simple and descriptive. The author uses clear words in describing the environment, characters and events in the short story. The setting used is a grass field and a house with wooden walls in the morning and a peaceful atmosphere. The message contained in the short story is the importance of living life with comfort and happiness as the main focus.

Literary works are depictions of the reality of life which are used as tools to express imagination and thoughts around them. In this research, the author aims to reveal the character values ​​contained in the short story entitled "Sacred Tree" by Yus R. Ismail and then relate them to real life. In his research, the author used a qualitative descriptive method, which in the process displays the data as it is without manipulation or other treatments. The aim of this research is to present a complete picture of an event or is intended to expose and clarify a phenomenon that occurs. The steps for collecting data in the short story "Sacred Tree" are by (1) reading the short story intensively, then (2) analyzing the character values ​​and (3) presenting the data. Apart from using qualitative descriptive methods, the author also uses a mimetic approach, namely research that connects the content of literary works and real life. In this short story the author finds character and moral values ​​depicted in each character, as well as a real storyline that occurs in life. A difference of opinion which then becomes the cause of a dispute, but can be resolved by a figure who has a wise nature. Then the policy leads to changes that cause regret in the future. And the moral value presented in this short story is not to force change on a group or person if we cannot be responsible for the change. This short story by Yus R. Ismail is a simple short story that describes real life clearly without engineering and contains several useful lessons for the reader.
