The purpose of this study is to 1) find out the values of character education in the novel "ordinary people" by Andrea Hirata 2) find out the relevance of the character education value of the novel "ordinary people" in the learning of short stories. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection in this study uses a literature technique with content analysis. Some of the steps to collect data in the novel Ordinary People, 1) The researcher reads the novel as a whole carefully, 2) Records or marks words and sentences related to the formulation of the problem, such as the structure of the novel, as well as sentences that show the values of character education, and 3) Identifies the values of character education contained in this novel. The results of this research found 5 values of character educators, namely honesty, discipline, hard work, independence, and democracy. From the results of the above analysis, 10 analysis data were found. The results of this study can be relevant to the learning of short story texts contained in KD 3.5 Identifying the elements that build literary works in short story texts that are read or heard and can affect the formation of student character in accordance with the strengthening of the Pancasila student profile that applies to the Independent curriculum.

This research aims to determine the use of deixis in the novel entitled "12 Stories of Glen Anggara" by Luluk HF and its implications for novel learning. This research focuses on looking for elements of persona deixis, time deixis, space or place deixis, and social deixis in the novel "12 stories of Glen Anggara". The main problem of this research is to look for the use of deixis in the content of the novel entitled "12 stories of Glen Anggara" in detail in pragmatic studies. The researcher also aims to have implications for the results of deictic analysis in the novel "12 Stories of Glen Anggara" in learning novels in high school. This research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach with the type of research used is content analysis techniques. The results of this research found that many deictic elements were used in the novel "12 Stories Glen Anggra" by Luluk HF. The tendency for the deictic elements contained in this novel is persona deixis because the novel writer tends to bring up characterization elements followed by time deixis, indicating deixis, place deixis, and social deixis.

This study aims to identify the level of difficulty and ability to write descriptive essays for phase B students in class IV in elementary school. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case method approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews with students, and document analysis of students' writing results. The results of the research show that phase B students in class IV in elementary schools experience difficulties in writing descriptive essays in several aspects, namely: It is difficult for students to find a title that suits the topic. Students can create text that matches the title, but the content of the idea is incomplete. Students have not used all their five senses to write descriptive text. Students have difficulty writing paragraphs that have cohesion and coherence. Students have difficulty using the correct choice of words (diction) according to the sentence. It is difficult for students to use the correct spelling according to the rules. Students have difficulty using punctuation marks.

The purpose of this study was to compare see students' ability to read fluently at level 3 and to see their ability to explain reading content in terms of students' opinions/perceptions through dialogue texts. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a qualitative descriptive type of research. Data collection techniques in this research consisted of: (1) assessment of level 3 fluent reading abilities (2) interviews with students regarding their perceptions regarding the dialogue texts they read (3) documenting the process of reading the text. . Based on these data collection techniques, the research instruments used consisted of: (1) level 3 fluency reading ability assessment sheet, (2) reading comprehension assessment sheet (3) documentation of students' reading processes. This research was conducted by Mifta Hurrahmi and Wini Media Putri, where the research subjects were elementary school students. The results obtained are based on students' ability to read and explain the contents of the reading from the interviews that have been conducted. It can be concluded that the use of dialogue texts is more effective in determining the level of students' ability to read fluently at level 3 and helping students understand the content of the reading they read

This research presents an analysis of increasing student engagement through the use of TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) in the teaching and learning process. Using a qualitative approach, this research explores the implementation of TPACK by teachers and its impact on student interaction, active participation, and academic achievement. Findings show that the implementation of TPACK facilitates the appropriate use of technology in learning contexts, enriches students' learning experiences, and encourages more active student involvement in the learning process. This analysis also reveals challenges and opportunities related to the integration of TPACK in curriculum and teacher training. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of TPACK in supporting student-centered learning and offers practical insights for educators in planning learning that is innovative and relevant to student needs.

Oral and written communication is broad and free. However, the content in it must comply with applicable rules, one of which is the principle of politeness contained in three anecdotal texts entitled “Liburan Kuli Bangunan”, “Perundungan Tanda Sayang”, and  “Korupsi Kecil”. Criticism in it is conveyed by paying attention to the principles of politeness. However, not all speech contained in the text meets the principles of politeness. Therefore, the author was moved to carry out an analysis of the principles of politeness in the anecdotal texts entitled “Liburan Kuli Bangunan”, “Perundungan Tanda Sayang”, and  “Korupsi Kecil” contained in the Cerdas Cergas Berbahasa dan Bersastra Indonesia SMA/SMK Kelas X. This analysis aims to discover and examine further the principles of language politeness by the discipline of pragmatics. The approach used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of data analysis were collected using reading and note-taking techniques. The results of the analysis in this research found 19 violations of politeness principles, dominated by violations of the thimble agreement. Apart from that, there is compliance with the principles of politeness, totaling 4 utterances, namely 2 on the thimble of agreement, and the other 2 on the thimble of humility and the thimble of feelings. With this research, it is hoped that it will be useful for providing understanding and as additional reference material for further research regarding the principles of language politeness in communication.

One example of editorial text found in everyday life is in newspapers. Newspapers provide actual information needed by the public through reporting in editorial texts. The newspaper that is often found today is the Kompas Newspaper. In the educational realm, the editorial text in the Kompas Newspaper can be a medium for learning Indonesian. Editorial text in newspapers requires appropriate sentence structure so that readers can understand the meaning of the contents of the newspaper. Thus, sentence structure in editorial texts can be a medium for analyzing directive illocutionary speech acts. This research aims to determine the types of directive illocution speech acts contained in editorial texts in the Kompas Newspaper. The theoretical benefit of this research is to increase insight and information regarding the types of directive illocution speech acts. The practical benefit is being able to understand the meaning of sentences written in newspapers. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative which refers to a theoretical approach in the form of a pragmatic approach. The method in this research is the matching method using listening and note-taking techniques, while the data presentation method uses formal data presentation. The primary data used is editorial text sourced from the Kompas Newspaper. The data that has been found is presented in the form of an explanation and linked to secondary data in the form of similar previous research. The results of this research are 18 types of directive illocution speech acts which include 7 directive illocution speech acts suggesting, 1 opposing, 2 requesting, 1 commanding, 1 hoping, 1 appealing, 1 giving a signal, 2 pleading, 1 urging, and 1 inviting.

A short story is a literary work in the form of prose that contains a conflict with a short, focused solution only on one incident or story. The most important thing in a short story is to reveal the author's events and ideas in such a way that the reader can understand and enjoy it. The short story "At the Pantura Crossing" by Tantri Pranash published on Kompas.com on December 11 2011 is a short story that represents social reality in the region Pantura (North Coast of Java). Precisely in the Patokbeusi area which is a prostitution area, which contains the dynamics of relationships between characters, social conflicts, and the values upheld in the film local community. The aim of this research is to analyze the content of Tantri Pranash's short story "In Pantura Intersection” using a literary sociology approach. In literary sociology, Literary works are seen as a reflection of social life and cannot be separated from consideration elements of fiction and social aspects in social life. This means studying literary sociology the relationship between literary works and people in society, as well as social processes. Method The research used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research method. With using reading and note-taking techniques as data collection techniques. Short story research results Tantri Pranash ``At the Panthura Junction'' contains (1) economic aspects, (2) aspects culture, (3) social aspects, and (4) moral aspects. These results explain that literary works reflect community life.

The aim of this research is to study how digital literacy impacts the ability to read and write Indonesian from various literary sources. The ability to access, understand, use and create information through the use of digital technology is known as digital literacy. The ability to read and write in Indonesian is the ability to understand and create texts in that language, both online and offline. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature or literature study design. Data sources for this research come from various articles, books, journals and reports related to the research topic. Content analysis techniques were used to analyze the data. The research results show that digital literacy can increase students' motivation, interest and skills in reading and writing Indonesian texts.

The use of documentary video learning media can have a positive impact on the learning process, especially the understanding of complex concepts and their application in everyday life. Documentary videos can provide a deeper perspective and insight into real life, so it can be a window or tool to better see and understand real life. In this study, documentary videos have been evaluated in the context of Social Studies learning at the junior high school level. The literature review method was used to analyze various aspects of the use of documentary video learning media, including its impact on concept understanding and application in daily life. The results of this literature review provide an in-depth understanding of the factors that support the effectiveness of documentary video learning media, such as good design, content relevance, and instructional support. However, it also identifies some constraints, including the limited accessibility of technology and the need for teacher support in effective implementation. Thus, the findings from this study provide a strong basis for recommending the implementation of documentary video learning media in social studies learning in junior high schools. The practical implications can provide guidance for the development of more interesting and effective learning materials, by utilizing the potential of documentary videos as innovative and relevant learning aids.
