The DC motor serves as the main drive of the vessel and is equipped with a rotary encoder that functions to regulate the movement of the sensor in measuring sediment levels. This rotary encoder is also used to monitor and represent the rotational speed of the DC motor. System testing was carried out by implementing a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) algorithm to control the DC motor speed in moving the vessel, ensuring stable motion. This fuzzy logic–based approach is expected to improve accuracy and efficiency in sediment volume calculations, while also reducing potential errors that commonly occur in manual methods. Simulating motor speed control using the fuzzy logic algorithm in MATLAB, the best test results were achieved over several trials, with a rise time of 376.310 ms and an overshoot of 83.33%. Motor speed measurements using both a tachometer and Arduino produced consistent results, with an average relative error of 0.18%.

This research examines directive speech acts in the “Burnout” playlist on the Satu Persen YouTube channel. The aim of this research is to analyze the classification of types, contextual meanings, functions, and intentions of directive speech acts in the “Burnout” playlist on the Satu Persen YouTube channel. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative methodological approach with a pragmatic theoretical approach. Analyzing directive speech acts through comprehensive examination based on relevant theories and presenting the findings descriptively. Directive speech acts in the “Burnout” playlist include directive requestives, directive questions, directive requirements, directive prohibitives, directive permissive, and directive advisories. The research is expected to contribute to enriching pragmatic studies and expanding public awareness of pragmatics in communication. Understanding the variations in directive speech acts patterns in YouTube social media and understanding their correlation with societal realities can serve as a foundation for the public to engage more intelligently and consciously in building effective, wise, and multidimensional communication.

This research aims to explore more deeply the phenomenon of slang use among UINSU Public Health students and its impact on social dynamics and the development of their identity. Through a qualitative approach involving in-depth interviews and participant observation, this research seeks to understand how slang plays a role in forming social bonds, creating a sense of belonging to a group, and influencing the way students interact with each other. Preliminary findings show that slang not only functions as a communication tool, but also as a symbol of identity and a means of expressing oneself. However, on the other hand, the use of slang that is too intense can blur the boundaries between formality and informality, thus potentially hampering the learning process and effective academic communication. Therefore, this research highlights the importance of balancing the use of slang with good and correct language rules, so that students can communicate effectively in various contexts without sacrificing their group identity.
