This study aims to determine the phenomenon of the Madonna Whore Complex in the beautiful book Luka. The Madonna Whore Complex is a psychological theory proposed by the father of psychology, Sigmund Freud. In this theory, humanitas are separated into two kinds, namely, madonna, which means holy, love, and asexual. While whore, which means sexual, lust, and broken, People with this complex compartmentalize their partners into two camps: those who are considered to be lustful and life partners. This is due to the split between the flow of affection and the sexual flow in male desire. This phenomenon makes a person unable to see his partner sexually. The issues raised in the beautiful book Luka are about prostitution, feminism, and gender inequality. The method used in this study is to use qualitative methods that are expected to be able to determine the values contained in the beautiful book based on The Theory of Madonna Whore Complex by Sigmund Freud. This study shows the results of the analysis of intrinsic elements through sexual behavior contained in the beautiful book Luka related to the Madonna Whore Complex theory proposed by Sigmund Freud.

Literary work is a work of imagination expressed in written form by a writer. These literary works are created by writers for aesthetic purposes. Literary works often tell a story, plot, characterization and conflict background. Stories based on essays or true stories produced as literary works, to convey ideas and positive messages from the author to readers. The method used in this research is qualitative analysis and is linked to Maslow's Needs theory. Needs are very often called basic needs which are described as a hierarchy that describes the levels of needs, namely, physiological needs, safety, social needs, ego, and self-actualization. The method used is related to the conditions and situations of the subject in the novel. In the novel Dear Nathan, there are characters that will be discussed, namely Nathan, Salma, Daniel, Ardi (Papa Nathan), and Mama Meli (Mama Nathan), the characters consist of character, protagonist, antagonist, tritagonist. Mixed storyline, sad, happy, touched, regretful. Messages in the novel: Be grateful, learn to understand, give love, be sincere, be loyal, keep promises, make sacrifices, be faithful. In this research, it is hoped that readers can understand the message given by the author.

The purpose of this study is to describe the ego defense mechanism in the character Cakrawala in the novel Not Me by Caaay using the study of Sigmund Freud. This research method uses qualitative research methods. The data collection technique used in this study is a literature study. The method used uses the approach of Literary Psychology. The findings obtained show that the Cakrawala character has an ego defense mechanism in the form of repression, denial, reaction formation, rationalization and fantasy and streotype.

The aim of this research is to describe the causes of the abnormal behavior experienced by the gym characters in the novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari. This research uses Coleman's theory about four causes of abnormal behavior. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection uses reading techniques and note-taking techniques, as well as including theories from several books and data found, then described and analyzed. The results obtained in this research, the character in the novel Pasung Jiwa, namely Sasana, has causes that make him have abnormal behavior, including primary causes, predisposing causes, triggering causes and strengthening causes.

This research aims to find out, analyze and describe the needs and tendencies of Re: in the novel Re: and peRempuan by Maman Suherman. The formulation of the problem in this study is what are the neurotic needs and tendencies experienced by the character Re:. The method in this research uses qualitative research and descriptive method. The result of this research is that the character Re: has 3 neurotic needs, namely, 1) the neurotic need for affection and self-acceptance, 2) the neurotic need to limit his life in a narrow scope, 3) the neurotic need for independence and freedom. And has 3 neurotic tendencies namely, 1) approaching others, 2) fighting others, 30) avoiding others.

Literary works are human-made products that express the creation’s thoughts, ideas, understanding and feelings about life in imaginative and emotional language. As imaginative works, literary works have an interesting and useful function in unriching the readers inner experience. The aim of this research is to describe the behavior of the main character using the personality structure analysis of sigmund Freud theory which consists of ideas, ego, superego. The type of method used is descriptive qualitative, this method serves to simplify a problem so that i tis easier to break down and understand and easier to descriptive carefully and systematically about the novel Senja, Rain, & Stories That Have Been Finished by Boy Candra. The steps taken in data analysis and data collection are by grouping data according to Freud’s personality structure.
