Anemia in pregnant women can increase the risk of bleeding during labor. Therefore, early detection is crucial for preventing potential complications and preventing anemia during pregnancy. One way to empower pregnant women in this effort is through community service activities. This community service activity is a collaboration between STIKes Mitra Husada Medan and a practice in Bangun Rejo Village, Tanjung Morawa. Anemia can affect pregnant women at various stages of pregnancy. Therefore, this community service program is implemented in the form of a pregnancy class aimed at preventing and early detection of anemia. The target group includes pregnant women in their first, second, and third trimesters, with the hope of increasing their knowledge about anemia, thus creating physically and emotionally healthy mothers-to-be. The results of the community service program indicate positive changes following the community service, including an increased understanding of the symptoms of anemia, preventive measures, and active participation in early detection of anemia during pregnancy.

Hyperemesis gravidarum is excessive nausea and vomiting in pregnant women which interferes with daily activities because it is usually made worse by dehydration. The cause of hyperemesis gravidarum is not known for certain, but it is likely caused by an increase in the serum hormones estrogen and HCG (chorionic gonadotropin hormone). The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between nutritional status and hyperemesis gravidarum in pregnant women at Tanah Jambo Aye Community Health Center, North Aceh. This study used a case control design. Pain Case Study This research was conducted to determine whether parity, nutritional status and stress are related to hyperemesis gravidarum in pregnant women. There is a relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of hyperemesis gravidarum in pregnant women at the Tanah Jambo Aye Community Health Center, North Aceh. Pregnant women with poor nutritional status will experience hyperemesis gravidarum 7.5 times compared to pregnant women with good nutritional status. Pregnant women are expected to always seek information about hyperemesis gravidarum and risk factors for hyperemesis gravidarum.

Indonesia's maternal mortality rate (MMR), at 189 per 100,000 live births, is higher than countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand and Vietnam. Indonesia's newborn mortality rate is the third highest in Southeast Asia at 9.3 per 1,000 live births. In 2022 to 2023, there was an increase in the number of maternal deaths from 4,005 to 4,129, and the number of newborn deaths from 20,882 to 29,945 (Ministry of Health, 2023). Anaemia in pregnant women can increase the risk of premature birth, maternal and child mortality, and infectious diseases. Iron deficiency anaemia in mothers can affect fetal/baby growth and development during pregnancy and afterwards. This study is a type of quantitative research using a case control design. The research that has been done shows that most respondents experienced mild anaemia 20 people (66.7%), moderate anaemia 7 people (23.3%) and who did not experience anaemia only 3 people (10%).
