This research aims to explore changes in social psychology approaches in education to increase empathy and tolerance in schools. The study used a qualitative design with student analysis units, teachers, and school staff in several secondary schools. Data sources were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies related to policies and programs that support empathy and tolerance learning. Data collection techniques include semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, observation of social interactions in schools, and analysis of school policy documents. Data analysis was carried out using a thematic approach to identify patterns that emerged from the perspective of students and teaching. The research findings suggest that a social psychology approach that is more based on students' social experiences and emotional involvement can increase the level of empathy and tolerance among them. The contribution of this research is to provide insight into the importance of integrating social psychology in education as a strategy to form better students' social character, as well as offering practical guidance for schools in implementing the values of empathy and tolerance in the curriculum.
