PERAN ADAB AL-'ALIM WA AL-MUTA'ALLIM IMAM NAWAWI DALAM STRATEGI PENGELOLAAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Character education at the elementary school level plays a crucial role in instilling moral values such as honesty, responsibility, and respect. In the context of Islam, these values are reinforced through the teachings of Adab al-Alim wa al-Mutaallim by Imam Nawawi. This study aims to integrate these values into the management strategy of character education in elementary schools. It seeks to explore the role of Adab al-Alim wa al-Mutaallim values in shaping the character of elementary school students through a comprehensive educational management strategy. Employing a qualitative approach, this study utilizes case study methods in two elementary schools that actively practice the values of Adab al-Alim wa al-Mutaallim. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that the application of values such as honesty, responsibility, and respect significantly impacts the development of students' character. Teachers serve as moral exemplars, while students demonstrate increased discipline and moral awareness. This research highlights the relevance of the principles of Adab al-Alim wa al-Mutaallim in character education within elementary schools, contributing to the holistic formation of students' character grounded in Islamic values.
