Pengintegrasian Kimia Lingkungan dengan Agama Islam dalam Lingkup Ihya'ul Mawat

Islam is very concerned about the environment as well as chemistry. Most chemistry is misunderstood as harmful to the environment whereas in chemistry there is a study in the form of environmental chemistry that discusses the chemical point of view for environmental sustainability. In this article, we will discuss the harmony of the concept of environmental chemistry with the Islamic concept of the environment within the scope of Ihya' Al-Mawat. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various references both sourced from books, journals, and from previous research results and in accordance with the topic to be discussed. The results found that the concept of environmental chemistry is in line with the Islamic religious concept of the environment within the scope of Ihya' Al-Mawat in terms of environmental preservation through cultivating dead fertilizing dead soil. The application of chemical fertilizers can meet the insufficient amount of nutrients in the soil so that production increases but the use of chemical fertilizers should not be excessive. Excessive use of chemical fertilizers can disrupt life and balance of soil causing a decrease in soil pH, apart from the use of chemical fertilizers must be accompanied by the use of organic fertilizers.
