PEMILIHAN KEPALA DAERAH 2024: PEMIMPIN DALAM PERSPEKKTIF HADIST

This study examines the criteria for leaders from a hadith perspective, especially in the face of the 2024 general election. This research aims to examine the meaning and criteria of leaders contained in hadith sources. This research is the result of literature research with qualitative methods. The data used consisted of primary sources in the form of various hadith books that discussed the criteria for leaders, as well as secondary sources in the form of books, articles, journals and other references relevant to the theme of the discussion. The data analysis method used is descriptive analytical.  This study examines the criteria for leaders from a hadith perspective, especially in the face of the 2024 general elections/regional elections. This study explains the political system and elections in Indonesia, the simultaneous election of regional heads if seen at first glance is a solution to the non-ideal implementation of regional head elections which are relatively large and repetitive, but if you look at it in depth, it can still be discussed in detail about the negative side of the policy. This is because there are some regional heads whose term of office must be reduced, thus contrary to several legal norms (UU).  Including challenges and polemics that often arise, such as leadership quality and political polarization. This research finds seven prophetic traits that leaders must have, namely: religion and understanding of religious values, having science and managerial, acting fairly in leadership, being able to carry out and fulfilling the mandate given, having integrity and honesty, having a responsible attitude and understanding that all have their responsibilities to Allah and the society they lead and having experience, spiritual maturity, maturity and wisdom even though they are still young.
