Pentingnya Pembentukan Akhlak pada Anak melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam di Masa Modern

This research aims to examine the importance of moral formation in children through Islamic religious education in modern times. The background of the research is the deterioration of morals and ethics among the younger generation caused by the negative influence of globalization and modernization. This phenomenon is very concerning, considering that children are the next generation of the nation who must be equipped with strong moral values. The research method used is a literature study by analyzing sources related to moral education in Islam. The results showed that the formation of morals in children through Islamic religious education is very important in this modern era. Islamic religious education can instill strong moral values, ethics, and spirituality in children, so that they have a fortress to face the bad influence of the modern environment. In addition, Islamic religious education can also develop children's intellectual, emotional and spiritual intelligence in a balanced manner. Children will grow up to be a generation with character, integrity, and be able to face the challenges of the times by instilling noble morals based on Islamic teachings early on. This study concludes that Islamic religious education is an important foundation in shaping children's morals in the modern era. Through habituation, exemplification, and internalization of Islamic values, children can be equipped with a strong character to face the negative influence of globalization. Therefore, the role of parents, teachers, and the surrounding environment is very important in supporting the formation of children's morals through Islamic religious education. Thus, it is hoped that the younger generation can grow into individuals with noble character and be able to make a positive contribution to the progress of the nation.
