Abstract
Traditional crafts are an important component of a region's cultural heritage. Likewise, the local literature of South Kalimantan is very diverse. Oral literature is one of them, which originated and developed in South Kalimantan. Banjar oral literature grows and develops along with the growth and development of its society. Most Banjar oral literature is in the form of performances, Madihin being one example. The purpose of this research is to reveal: (1) the form, structure, and function of Madihin art; and (2) the Islamic religious education values contained in Madihin art. This research uses a qualitative approach, which means reviewing and understanding the contents of books, documents, theses, or other relevant scientific journals to describe or explain Madihin art and the Islamic educational values contained in it.
