Abstract
This study discusses the phenomenon of two seas in QS. Ar-Rahman verses 19-20. The research is inspired by the phenomenon of two seas meeting but not mixing with each other. The two seas cannot merge or surpass their respective boundaries, as if there is a separating wall between them. The approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach, which is the approach and type of research used by Lexy J. The qualitative descriptive research approach can be used to reveal the facts that occur in the field during the research activity. This study also uses data analysis in the form of descriptive analysis, namely by describing the interpretation data of the Quran and scientific data related to the research, then discussed in detail by linking the two. The results of this study are about two seas that do not mix due to differences in the density and water characteristics of the two seas, and its scientific formulation in a physical equation. This study is relevant to existing scientific theories, namely that two seas are caused by surface tension influenced by differences in water temperature, salinity (salt content), and different densities of the two seas.
