Reduksi Debit Limpasan Permukaan Dengan Menerapkan Sistem Ekodrainase di TPA Paras, Ponco Kusumo
Landfill is the final disposal site for all waste in an area. In general, landfills no longer carry out waste processing activities, so they just wait for the degradation process. In the waste degradation process, leachate will be produced. Leachate cannot be discharged directly into the environment, therefore it needs to be diluted first.
If a drainage channel is not built at the landfill site which could result in high surface flow discharge, then the surface flow will mix with leachate and pollute the environment. For this reason, drainage planning is needed which aims to reduce surface runoff. One way is to plan environmentally friendly drainage or ecodrainage by adding absorption wells.
The benefits of ecodrainage are, apart from reducing surface runoff, it also accelerates infiltration which allows water to seep into the surface, thereby replenishing groundwater. Based on rainfall calculations, a rainwater thickness of 10 cm is obtained, and to drain it, 128 infiltration wells are needed. The planned number of absorption wells is 1/4 of what is needed because some of the rainwater that falls on the roof is captured for clean water reserves.
