Penyebab Ketel Uap Mengalami Kegagalan dalam Proses Pembakaran di KM.Binaiya

Abstract
A boiler is a closed container and can produce hot steam with a pressure of more than one atmosphere. The steam produced is the result of the process of heating fresh water. Hot steam is very necessary to support the operation of the main engine and auxiliary aircraft which require hot, pressurized steam, auxiliary aircraft such as boilers can experience failure in operation, in this case the need for the hot steam produced cannot be met for some reason, it could be due to the maintenance process which does not comply with the manual, incorrect installation or other reasons. So the combustion process in the boiler is not normal. The purpose of this research is to identify the causes of boiler combustion failures, find out what steps to overcome them, and find out the various impacts they cause. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. This method describes qualitative research as research that uses scientific methods to reveal a phenomenon by describing data and facts through words as a whole regarding the research subject. From this research it can be concluded that the cause of boiler combustion failure is an error in installing the nozzle and a shift in the distance between the two electrodes which results in the boiler not being able to burn. When carrying out boiler maintenance, it must be carried out carefully and in accordance with the manual book so that combustion failure does not occur in the boiler.
