Pentingnya Kualitas Fisik Personel Jaga Anjungan di Atas Kapal MV. Makssar Strait

The world of transport facilities is a very important thing to transport goods from one island to another, from one continent to another. Transport goods from one island to another, from one continent to another. Not only goods transportation is also used as a means of travelling for humans to reach their destination. Sea transportation is one of the dimensions of transportation that plays an important role in the world economy and means of travelling. For means of sea transport, ships are certainly the transport used, for that in running a ship, competent human resources are needed for the task. Shipping companies certainly need ship crews who can be responsible for the smooth delivery of goods and people. On a ship there is a deck crew and an engine crew for operation, to create a smooth voyage, the two departments must be able to work together. This paper explains the importance of the physical quality of bridge guard personnel on board the MV. Makassar Strait which aims to find out what affects the physical quality of bridge guard personnel. In this study, the authors used qualitative research methods so that they conducted research through observation activities on the bridge. The results of this study show that there are problems with the physique of bridge personnel caused by guard breaks that are not used optimally. Through this research, efforts that can be done can be made to maximise guard rest, sleep quality and require the active role of officers on board to monitor their men.
